But to top it off, our waitress went above and beyond. She gave us perfect recommendations and offered for us to try the banana pudding on the house because it’s that good… she was not kidding! Then gave an extra serving of baked beans to go because I was raving about them so much! We will 100% be back (regularly)!!“

“We tried the brisket plate and catfish plate and everything was DELICIOUS! The brisket was tender and the catfish was perfectly crispy. Great pricing. The portions were big and everything had so much flavor. We got extra cornbread and still wish we had more. Next time we're getting the whole loaf to go with supper the next night. “We catered Stroud’s for 40 people yesterday for my grandmother’s funeral reception and I couldn’t recommend them more. The food was delicious! We had just enough to make a few sandwiches for tomorrow. The banana pudding is one of the best in town & the potato salad was delicious. They were friendly, communicative, on time, and professional. “We enjoyed this barbecue restaurant on a road trip. My wife and I had barbecue pork and smoked chicken breast salads, which were delicious and generous. We also enjoyed a basket of fried okra. Service was fast and friendly, and prices reasonable. We would definitely dine at this restaurant again.“

“I got the smoked bologna sandwich and the pulled pork plate. The bologna sandwich was awesome. The pulled pork plate was good. The only drawbacks were the slaw and the cornbread (called litebread on the menu). The slaw was average at best. The cornbread was tasty but dry.“

“Had a great night at Longhorn in Brentwood and it's all due to wait staff and manager, Brandon. My spouse was running late due bad traffic and I went ahead and got a table and ordered. The traffic turned so bad that she showed up 25 minutes later. While I was waiting the manager came over to say hi and let me know not to worry and that our order would be brought out fresh no matter when my spouse showed up. The food did come out fresh and tasted great as usual. The people made the difference.“
