“At first we were a little taken aback by not having table service only to be pleasantly surprised that it actually made our dining experience more pleasurable. Therefore anything we needed was readily available as quickly as we wanted to grab it. The friendly helpful cashiers made up for the lack of table service. The ribs were tender and juicy, okra was likely breaded and fried to perfect crisp and baked potato was fluffy and fresh.“
“Amazing staff, they are friendly and provide quality food. Raise the Roost has better biscuits than KFC and Popeyes. Don't let the fact that it is in a gas station deter you from trying them out, they will compete with the biggest names in the industry. If you do try Raise the Roost, I recommend this location.“
“We went in about an hour and a half before closing time, and the staff were all very polite and attentive. I ordered the sirloin with corn and broccoli, and we also ordered one ribeye and NY strip steak with salads and loaded baked potatoes. My sirloin, corn, and broccoli were all AMAZING, salads and loaded mashed were a hit, and the ribeye was so juicy and perfectly cooked. The only issue we had was the NY strip which we ordered medium rare but came out charred and well done. Our waiter apologized and got us a fresh NY strip that was cooked perfectly in no time at all. Exemplary service by the front of house and props to the cooks as well for doing a fantastic job.“
“Love this place! Food is great! The cowboy sushi is amazing! I’ve eaten here many times and used them for catering a couple and they never disappoint!Parking: Parking can be tough and there can be a wait… bar is good too for 1-2 people“
“Sorry plates are partial, had to calm my hunger. Brisket is well flavored, but a little on the dry side. Ribs are delicious and tender, fall off the bone. No sauce needed in my opinion. The sausage, which comes in spicy or regular (we ordered regular), is delicious. The green beans are a little peppery (black pepper), but that is normal to me. My barbecue beans did not have any bacon. The fried okra was delicious and crispy, not mushy inside. Texas toast is good, butbI think I would prefer to have both sides buttered. Overall a really good meal.“
“If you EVER want BBQ in Nashville, do yourself a favor and go to Edley's on 12th!!! The Very Best BBQ I think I have EVER had!!! “As one would expect, Martin's feature a number of smoked meats. This being true barbeque, pulled pork is featured, but they also have turkey, chicken, fried catfish, and chopped brisket along with a number of freshly prepared sides. They've likewise appropriately taken a stand an have a single sauce at the tables. It's a vinegar based sauce, as God intended, but heavy on the sugar, which is unique to middle Tennessee as far as I know (vinegar based sans sugar being a low country South and North Carolina thing). It's very good, of a little different. They do have ketchup, but it's clearly for the fries, not the meat. Atmosphere is great, with a lot of areas to explore. We actually were there during the eclipse, which was cool, too.“
“Cane here with the Secret Food Tour - East Nashville edition. Great drinks and a pretty good catfish taco. We're from Southern California, so that's a pretty high bar for fish tacos. But these were very good, and everyone else loved them.We sampled the, apparently, famous bushwacker which is a slushy Kahlua, Bailey's, milkshake situation. And also a Bloody Mary, which wasn't the star of the show, but it was good. And the service was very good and the atmosphere is cool.“
“Great food and great service. Some of the best KBBQ I’ve had. Expensive but definitely worth it and everyone left very full. Sundubu jiggae was almost as good as mom makes, Korean fried chicken was perfectly crispy, and the quality of the Korean bbq was fantastic.Go. Eat. Embrace the food coma.“
