“First time at this spot with two friends on a busy Friday evening—waited about 10 minutes for a table. The place was packed, and while the decor felt a bit overdone and not quite my aesthetic, we were excited to try the food.

Started with some warm sake (which was great), though service was noticeably slow. We ordered grilled squid as an appetizer—chewy, flavorful, and definitely a highlight. I also tried their clear broth soup. As a big fan of light, comforting soups, I really enjoyed it, though the mild seaweed/fishy aroma wasn’t my favorite part.

For mains, we went with a few sushi rolls. I took a recommendation from our server and got a roll with crispy shrimp—huge portion and really tasty. My friends ordered a couple of other rolls and we shared everything. All the sushi was good, but nothing that stood out as extraordinary.

Overall, it’s a decent spot if you’re nearby and craving sushi, but it felt pretty standard. Not bad by any means—just not a place I’d be rushing back to.“

“So I planned a last minute birthday dinner for my husband. I stopped by Monday and asked if they could seat about 30 people and they happily said yes! (We had more than that show up and they accommodate us! My mother n law and sister in law got there before us to decorate and the restaurant had all tables moved to seat us all together and already had chips and salsa on the tables! Everything was amazing!!! My husband thought we were just meeting his parents for dinner. So they were sitting up front waiting for us to arrive and the restaurant played along too asking us how many and taking us to the table! My husband had no idea! He couldn’t see anyone! Everyone was seated behind the wall in the front entrance! Everyone who was working was absolutely amazing! Smiling and kind!! They did a great job taking orders, getting food out to us very quickly and taking care of everything we needed! Even putting our desserts in the fridge for us to lighting the candles singing happy birthday and even signing his number 40! It was just an amazing experience! I highly recommend them! “I have been here a hand full of times. The food is always good, the hibachi is solid and the sushi always tastes pretty fresh. Prices are reasonable for what you get. Saki options are pretty good. This is typically one of my go to spots if I want some sushi and saki, if you're hungry I would check it out! Staff are great, typically no wait but they can get busy.“

Today however, was awful. Our waitress, who also appeared to be the bartender, was MIA for the majority of the time. She took our order, only to come back to the table to ask us to repeat the order., total of three items. Brought our appetizer at the same time as our food, essentially throwing it all down on the table, and then disappeared. We ran out of drinks, then had to ask the guy at the cash register for our ticket and a to-go box resulting in our having to pay at the cash register. She finally appeared to bring back the check and then became angry, calling us miserable people, when she didn't get a tip for her poor service. I don't think I can support a company who allows this kind of service.“

“Kirby location: They BURNT my rice :( Usually the rice is great. But this time I literally smelled burnt food when I walked in and my rice tasted like the bottom of the skillet and had black specks on it. If I wasn’t starving, I woulda took it back in for a remake…very disappointed. Im a regular customer. I probably go once or twice a month now. I gave em 4 stars because the food is usually on point. I feel like they keep pans of premade rice and meat then heat it up soon as they get an order. I like Sake Vs Tekila much better. I will give them another try tho.“
