“Decided on Mexican for dinner tonight on the way back home to Michigan. After reading reviews we chose this place. I had the chalupas ( I should have ordered 1 instead of 2. They were huge!!) and my husband had 2 different tacos, al pastor and carnitas. We both kept raving to each other how delicious the food was. Unlimited complimentary warm chips, salsa and a Margarita while waiting for our food was appreciated. Our waiter was efficient, friendly and very attentive. We really enjoyed ourselves after a long day on the road.“

“I've been looking for a regular Mexican restaurant spot, and this is it! I ordered the Vaca Bandida and not only was it tasty, they are VERY generous with the portion of steak! I also got a non-alcoholic strawberry daiquiri to go, it's very refreshing and not at all syrupy. The people are all so nice, it's SO clean inside, just a great atmosphere and experience. ❤️“

“The East Nashville location is the heart of the operation and part of its charm. The space feels rustic and lived-in, the kind of place where the food—and the people—are the real stars. The service is consistently friendly and genuinely fantastic, adding to the relaxed, neighborhood feel that visitors love. “So delicious. We’re from out of state and we’re looking for a dinner away from the center of Nashville, that wasn’t a chain. We literally saw it on Google maps right before we passed it and decided to stop. SO glad we did. I’ve been missing the good pupusas I used to get in NW Arkansas, and was so happy when I saw them on the menu. We also had a sope al pastor, chorizo tacos and a new-to-us dish called pollo con tajadas. I recommend ALL of them.“

“I decided to give this restaurant a try as I live nearby. The tacos were good. The chicken was a little dry which is why I took off one star. However, the green salsa made up for it. I wasn’t a big fan of the salsa and chips, but luckily it’s free. Also got a side fries, which were delicious. They were fried to perfection and hot. The prices are reasonable. The art in the restaurant is beautiful. Servers were kind too.“

“Went here for late night Mexican and boy was it tasty! Fresh ingredients, served hot from the kitchen super fast service. Chicken fajitas were the bomb. Salsa with chips so perfect. Large menu. Festive outdoor area, playing Mexican music at a moderate level but still had great convo. If you're looking for a quiet fancy place this isnt it, more dive hole in the wall. My wife had a mango margarita, we got a large queso which was plenty! Plenty of queso to drench our dishes too...I took the spinach Quesidillas and my wife took a side dish, rice w/chorizo, which was quite large. Their salsa was chunky and not watered down. Sent a photo to her friends and they jealousioso!“

“This place was amazing. I walked in off the street and was immediately taken to a table. I ordered my food and it was at my table very very quickly. Cooked completely correctly. The texture was exactly as expected. The atmosphere was inviting and open, plenty of TVs to each the game if that's your thing. Service was awesome. “If you're looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant, don't miss Taqueria Vallarta in Hermitage, TN. The food is authentic and has not been modified to the American pallet. What I mean is that they don't add all the unnecessary sauces and sugar to cater to the U.S. pallet. This is authentic Mexican food. The restaurant is small and local. They have a small A/C unit in the window while the fan blades slowly spin. It was a little hot in the restaurant but you're not there to keep cool. You're there because you want to satisfy your hunger for real Mexican food. This place delivers with reasonable prices.“

Loved it. The Churro had a strawberry jam type of filling, which I wasn't expecting but I ended up loving it anyway. This was my first experience with them but it DEFINITELY will not be my last. “Worst service and food I have ever had at cinco de Mayo. We normally go to the White Bridge Road location. We always have great service but the Hendersonville location today was really really bad. The waitress was really rude. She did not speak or understand English very well. I will never go back there or recommend this place to anyone.“

“Took us a bit to find a good Mexican restaurant in the summer country area. This by far tops even the ones in Nashville - in our opinion. Staff is super friendly, food is consistently delicious, it’s always clean from the parking lot to the restrooms. They are a small business and facility, but they are still able to accommodate numerous 1-4 tops and 2 10-20 tops. Couldn’t recommend this place enough! Super delicious!“

“So I’m from Texas and know good Authentic Mexican food when I have it. The food was really good here. I got tacos and they were excellent. The margarita was very good. The salsa very flavorful n nice. I have to say though the guacamole was very, very disappointing. When I eat guacamole I wanna taste the avocado the tomato all I got with every bite was a mouthful of onions. You cannot add that many onions to guacamole and expect it to be good, cut back on your onions and you’ll have a winner guacamole“
