Johnson City, TN 37601! A young man named Austin J was our server and he was WONDERFUL!! He was attentive without hovering, had a friendly smile and an outgoing personality! Austin never made us feel rushed or acted like we were bugging him, kept our drinks full, cleared the table as needed and made us feel welcomed!! KUDOS AUSTIN ON A JOB WELL DONE👏🏻👏🏻 Usually instead of buying a full meal, we get appetizers to share, the Caesar Salad and of course the biscuits😋 and yesterday 3/4/25 was no exception! I highly recommend their Caesar Salad with the fresh croutons and homemade dressing! This visit we chose the lobster dip, seafood stuffed mushrooms and the coconut shrimp with the piña colada dipping sauce (it’s delicious) and the Caesar salad! The biscuits and appetizers were all nice and hot and the salad cold! It was perfect and delicious 😋 With all of that, we were stuffed too😉 We’ll definitely be back and I hope our server is Austin again!“

“We had never been here, but The Down Home was recommended to us a while back. Our party of five stopped in for the first half of an Alexis Wax concert/fundraiser for Erwin. The venue is quaint, but there are plenty of smaller booths and tables for four (we grabbed a spare chair to accommodate us), and a bar selling beer and wine, water is there for free. Food is also available, and everything is posted on their website. The sound was good, we all enjoyed our time, and we look forward to returning when we can stay longer. Definitely recommend The Down Home for live music in Johnson City.“

“cool little local diner on our way out of Johnson city. we wanted homemade biscuit and gravy and we got them! unfortunately I did find the gravy to be a bit bland, maybe my expectations were too high? nothing bad, just not as flavorful as I'd hoped“

“Went to Audrey’s with a couple of friends for lunch. We all ordered salads. Two were the Asian salad and I ordered the strawberry salad. Everything was excellent, including our server Haley. You would’ve thought that we were the only table she had. She took care of us extremely well. Has a super personality, and very attentive. I definitely recommend this restaurant. Oh and by the way the salads were great. Very filling delicious with delicious dressings and couldn’t be any better.“

“Dined here for the first time. Husband and his brother had Scallops. I had the 50oz T-Bone, $150.00 with a great bottle of wine. Very nicely done. This dish came with three sides from the left side of the menu excluding one dish which was explained. Long story short I ordered the $150.00 T-Bone with the three sides being the Brussell sprouts, the potatoes and the oysters. Our server c ame back to say there would be and up charge of $5 for the oysters, maybe $8, now mind you this appetizer WAS included with the offer. When the bill came there was a up charge of $10 for the oysters. So, we went from a $5 upcharge to $10 upcharge. The tip was $75.00 which is not a problem but misinformation is.“

“Run don’t walk to this place. I was recommended this place by a good friend and restaurant owner in the area so we came and this is some of the best food I’ve ever had anywhere. I can’t explain the food. You can’t even start to understand how good it is from reading the menu. You just have to come and experience it. I think the beef tartare was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. This is like a Michelin star restaurant hidden in Johnson City.

Dietary restrictions: They have so many options and wonderful caring staff. I’m not just saying this. I haven’t seen team work like this in a restaurant before.

Parking: Parking is regular and it’s fine.“

“We waited in the bar for an hour while waiting on our table with was ok. The bartender best described as dazed and confused was on the struggle bus. Another employee gave us bread and she tried to take it and give it to someone else. The employee said I just asked if they wanted that and they said yes. Bartender was flustered and walked off. When she came back she said would you like another drink? My reply was, what I would really like is a napkin and silverware to slice and eat this bread. Ugh. Luckily our table was ready by that time within 30 minutes. The service at the table improved and food was great.“

“Had such a GREAT experience at applebee's today. My daughter did not like the salad they brought out (wasn’t what she had thought). the server was EXTREMELY kind and went and got the manager. She took the salad and let my daughter exchange it for whatever else she wanted. And took salad off the bill. Everyone overall today was just so kind and friendly. Thank you all. “Came in for a quick bite per my toddler's request for the Best Chocolate Chip Waffle. Waiter was quick to respond to our presence. Food was made perfectly and really quickly. The restroom was clean and stocked. My toddler was talking about SpongeBob and our waiter played "The Best Day Ever" on the jukebox and really made it a wonderful experience. All the employees on staff were delightful even while busy diligently attending to their work and other customers.“

“We had attended a concert at ETSU and looked for a place for late eats. Well this Smokey Bones location was busy and we found this location to be fabulous. All our food was excellent. The three pretzel app was so good. I had a side salad and thoroughly enjoyed it. The barbecue sandwich with sweet potato frys was deliscious. The grilled cheese with barbecue was amazingly good with a side of deliscious Mac and cheese. All the food was spot on. The real beauty of our late night meal was definitely Simone. She was doing it all. What an amazing personality. Simone made our visit a highlight to our great night. We would go back to eat here again to see Simone. Hope she gets recognized for her brilliance. “Interesting tacos with lots of different flavor combos possible. They are fusion tacos, with inspirations from different cuisines like Korean, Indian, etc. Any option can be made vegan. They have both tofu and jackfruit as sub options. I prefer their jackfruit since it holds the flavor of their sauces better and the tofu tends to too more bland for my taste. My favorite taco there is the buffalo jack fruit. It is attached to Yeehaw brewery and you can eat in brewery area which has a very cool, relaxed vibe.“

“I picked up a ham from here for a dinner, then had to go back the next day and get an additional one. I had so much to do at home to get ready for our dinner. After I picked up a few things at the store, I ended up at Honeybaked Ham about ten minutes before they were open. As I was sitting, this guy came up to my car and asked if I would like to come on in. My first thought was ‘Look, buddy, I’m not going to Karen these people into opening early.’ But it turned out to be the owner, who was very cordial to me, and more importantly, was cordial to his staff. So I got my delicious ham, and I got home about ten minutes earlier than I would have. And when expecting 16 people for lunch when you’ve been at work all night, every minute counted.“

BUT let me tell you about my experience… your employee Ashton knowledgeable, professional and kind! Great Customer Service! He even thanked me! There is more than one place to eat in the food court and this was enough to write about. Make him a trainer, not only customer service but his kindness … he is a keeper, a golden nugget.“
