It was cute, they had a rose and a card on the table upon our arrival; interestingly someone dropped the ball, they put “couple” language although informed it was a group celebration. Our waitress Dinah was GREAT!!! She was very attentive and ensured we had everything we needed. We were also able to explore the Happy Hour Menu. The food was really good!! Must try, Caesar Salad Bites were absolutely delicious. It tastes exactly how it sounds if you love Caesar salads. The Shrimp with crostini bread and garlic cloves, I mean, cause why not!! The Porcini-Rubbed Lollipop Lamb Chops, I probably should have gotten them cooked medium and could have had a bit more balsamic sauce but worth trying. Prosciutto-Wrapped Mozzarella, were cooked a little too hard for my liking, I was expecting a soft, warm cheesy textured dish. Maybe an off night? should shrug. The Soy-Based Brussel Sprouts...get your own, not sharing with you, lol. Completely disappointed the were out of the Peach Bourbon Smash. I mean there's literally a liquor store and grocery store around the corner, no excuses to be out since Wednesday!! I mean I could go on, but do yourself a favor and make a reservation!!! “To be honest, I lived in Texas for a few years and my hopes for Memphis Mexican restaurants were not high. However, I’m pregnant and I was craving authentic Mexican food really bad. I looked at photos of every Mexican restaurant in Memphis to try to find the one that looked like the most authentic atmosphere and I landed on El Mezcal. We showed up on Saturday night at 7pm and were seated immediately. The second we were seated, they already brought us chips and salsa and were asking for our drink orders. We unfortunately didn’t catch our server’s name, but it was her first day and she was absolutely on top of it. We ordered nachos with chicken, Burritos Azteca, and Fajitas. I don’t remember the type of fajitas, but it had chicken, shrimp, steak, and cactus on it. All the food was absolutely phenomenal, large portions, and by far worth the cost, which was only right under $60. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough, definitely the best experience I ever could have hoped for. Thank you!“

“We love to meet friends at Tannoor Grill. We had a reservation for 14 last night! The meat is served on giant skewers and cut at the table. Those who prefer rare can get it, and those that like their meat charred and well done can get that too. Everybody’s happy. The unlimited salad bar and hot vegetable selections are substantial, and the seared lamb chops are second to none. Because the restaurant does not serve alcohol, we can bring our own wine for no extra fee (bring your own glass and corkscrew as you will be serving yourself).
