Although they do have sit in dining all their food and coffee is served takeout style and their tables and chairs usually have some sort of food scraps from previous guests so that it doesn't encourage me to stay to eat. It's a very nice and quiet spot with great lighting and there staff seems nice, but don't do much more than smile and take your order. To be clear that is totally fine, but it just doesn't encourage me to stay much and enjoy the space. “It has been 3 years since I’ve had 5 daughters doughnuts since I happened upon them by chance the last time we visited Nashville. And ever since that first bite of the King Kong I’ve never stopped thinking about them. Every person who asks me about places to go to in Nashville I tell them to come here first and as many times as they can during their trip as the doughnuts are THAT good. Even my Lyft driver was envious he was dropping me off here. This site is a bit smaller but the quality is not diminished at all. I just tired the February seasonal Tiramisu and it was perfect! “I love the bread from Great Harvest Bakery. I like to go early and get unsliced loaves fresh out of the oven. It reminds me of my childhood in the Caribbean. You have to try their halla and spinach-feta bread. They are delicious. You can tell that the ingredients are quality. The bread stays fresh and the employees will give you extra bags for freezing if you need it. They are very friendly. Always a great experience.“

“What can you say about Mattheessens? This is the best cookie place in the entire world! Was it the alcohol.... maybe, was it because the cookies are as big as your head..... potentially, was it because the cookies are fresh and absolutely delicious.... definintely!!!! If you are in the Nashville area this is, in my opinion, a place you have to stop at!“

Favorite Flavors.
A couple that stood out to me in particular were the strawberry shortcake and carrot cake—they were especially flavorful and memorable compared to the rest.

Nutrition & Indulgence Factor.
One thing to keep in mind is that the cookies are definitely rich and fairly high in calories, sugar, and fat, which is pretty typical for oversized gourmet-style cookies.

Because of that, I personally see them as more of a special-occasion treat or occasional indulgence rather than an everyday dessert.

“Pretzels were quick, very warm, tasted great, and were cooked quite well. They were a little gooey on the inside and flaky on the outside. The manager was also very nice.
