“My first time going into Shipleys was a day to remember. Now I’m always going the people here are so kind . Pleasant and thoughtful each time I walk in. I wasn’t having the best day but before I left I encountered a new friend who asked for a picture. She made my day turn around just that short time. Whenever I’m In Nashville I’ll always stop and enjoy fresh baked, delicious 😋 donuts 🍩 and other treats from them . Stop by whenever your in town you won’t regret I promise..“

“First: I’m extremely picky about my lattes. I am sensitive to overcooked (burnt taste) beans and undercooked (sour taste) beans. I have gone here repeatedly for iced lattes and they have always provided the perfect texture and balance. They are by far (and I don’t say this lightly) providing the BEST espresso in Nashville. Second: What truly makes this cafe great is that it’s the only cafe in town that makes you feel like you’re wanted. All of these cafes built in the last 20 years are hard, cold and sterile. If you’re younger than 40, you probably don’t even remember that cafes used to be warm, social, inviting and a home for many people. New cafes are so uninviting and I feel it’s done on purpose to get you to leave so more customers come in. But the Daily Grind? It’s homey, has couches, the walls are filled with all sorts of crafty love and plants and there’s a poster on the front that lets you know this is a SAFE space for all. It’s reminiscent of the old days when you had warm social spaces where you could spend hours every day with friends playing games, drawing, talking and no one glued to their phones. I hope this cafe gets to expand and provide even more of this nostalgic homey feel and bring that needed community experience back to Nashville. Third: GREAT food and customer service on top of all of the above“

“It has been 3 years since I’ve had 5 daughters doughnuts since I happened upon them by chance the last time we visited Nashville. And ever since that first bite of the King Kong I’ve never stopped thinking about them. Every person who asks me about places to go to in Nashville I tell them to come here first and as many times as they can during their trip as the doughnuts are THAT good. Even my Lyft driver was envious he was dropping me off here. This site is a bit smaller but the quality is not diminished at all. I just tired the February seasonal Tiramisu and it was perfect! Espresso and chocolate dusted exterior and this pillowy airy chew with a rich cream inside. I don’t know how they do it but it’s always the best!“

“I love this place! The service is always good. The food and the donuts are always good. The place is my favorite on this busy street with plenty of competition. I ALWAYS come back to my favorite. Get there early for the best selection of seasonal and year round choices because they do sell out every day. My go to is the Dulce de Leché because it's perfect! Sadly (in this post) I got off work too late to get one. 😕 The Boston Cream Pie is delicious as were the others...and I shared. You need this in your life!“
“I lived in Donelson in the 1990s and made frequent trips to Canada. But I never imagined decades later that my favorite Canadian coffee-shop chain would open an outlet in the heart of Donelson! From the mid-1970s to the summer of 2023, this property hosted a deplorable Krystal, a Nashville expansion project from a Chattanooga-based chain in which I had no interest. But on July 19, 2025, Tim Hortons debuted the state of Tennessee's first location here, converting the old Krystal building from an irrelevant and dated restaurant to a bright and shiny destination for Tim Hortons fans! And now, I can get my Canadian donut fix anytime I want!
Being Tennessee's first isn't the store's only accolade. It's the only Tim Hortons within the Nashville city limits, one of four in the Nashville metro all lying in close proximity in the eastern suburbs. And greatest of all, it's the only Tim Hortons in the first 1,648 miles (70%) of eastbound Highway 70, one of America's longest roads connecting Arizona to the Atlantic Ocean. That makes it the westernmost Tim Hortons on all of Highway 70!
And naturally, the Canadian maple donut is stupendous at this location. All the donuts are delicious, and the service is pretty good (depending on which employees are working). The door handles have hockey sticks, and the signpost out front is topped with a Canadian maple leaf. A mural inside pays tribute to one of the greatest NHL players who founded the company, the late Tim Horton (1930-1974). We're blessed to have Canada's largest fast-food franchise and the world's 25th largest with 6,000+ worldwide locations! It's a nice alternative to the other donut shop chains.“

“So from the first time we went there we met the customer service has always been on par. The food is amazing and has become our go to treat spot as our daughter can have a gluten free chicken sandwich and crinkle fries due to their dedicated fryer. Not only that she loves their gluten free biscuits. I strongly recommend the crust burger and I always have a sweet tooth so a hand pie is must. I will say while some of the staff has changed Ryan always makes us feel at home and goes the extra mile for his customers. I always give four stars as there is always room for improvement but between the great food and customer service this location gets 5 stars.“

“They only have the drive thru option, which sucked as a person who likes to look at my donut options, but then she made my donut toppings fresh when I ordered, so i suppose it was ok. Friendly cashier and under $3 for 2 donuts is unheard of these days.“

“I checked out Shipley Do-Nuts’ newest location in downtown Nashville, and I had a good experience.
I’m already a big fan of Krispy Kreme and Donut Den, but I have to say Shipley’s is pretty good and definitely worth trying.
One thing I really liked was the variety of filled donuts. They had several options, and everything looked fresh and inviting.
It’s a nice spot to stop by if you’re downtown and want something sweet.
The parking can be a little confusing at first, especially if it’s your first visit. Once you understand where to park, how long the free parking lasts, and how to exit the garage, it gets much easier.
Overall, this is a solid new addition to downtown Nashville. I enjoyed it and would return again.“

“I’m a true Dunkin DunkieJunkie! No matter what Dunkin in the U. S. I’ve visited, I’ve received great, friendly service. I can expect the food and drinks to be the same, and they are. This visit was unique that the store had their own Doughnut Swing! That was truly cool, and I had to sit back, relax a sec while sipping my iced caramel macchiato with an extra shot of espresso.“
“The general manager, Darius, is phenomenal! We had an issue with our catering order, and he went above and beyond to personally make things right. His professionalism, responsiveness, and genuine care for customer satisfaction really stood out. It’s rare to see a manager take such a hands-on approach to resolving a problem and ensuring customers leave happy. Because of his outstanding service, we will absolutely continue to support this location and highly recommend it to others. Thank you, Darius, for turning a frustrating situation into such a positive experience!“

“I love it all. The Donut Den is an adorable, cleverly styled, gathering place with the ambiance of an old school diner! Owner, Dr. Fox, is the kindest man in all the land. His love for our community is baked into everything he, and now his son, put in their beautiful colorful cases. The Apple fritter is amazing🤩 Children seem to favor the sprinkles. But, the glazed donuts and donut holes are my fav. The team behind the counter is fun, and welcoming, contributing to this important Green Hills institution❣️“
