“Sydney was the best ever! She was very knowledgeable and helped us navigate every step of the way through the menu and options. I will be coming back to see her I suggest you do as well. However only problem we had was out of her control. The establishment charged for mixers in 2 step cocktails (ex. Tito’s and starry) I’ve never seen a place do that even at 5 star establishments. Fix this and get coke instead of Pepsi and you will be the best place in town.

“The Oak Room has by far the highest quality whiskey cocktails I’ve found in the Knoxville area, or Tennessee for that matter. And though their menu is somewhat limited the food quality and taste are beyond expectation for flavor and presentation. Whatever you do, don’t skip on the cheese tray. Cheers!“

“My wife and I were in Knoxville for a conference, and we ate at the Downtown location for dinner on Friday, then again for brunch on Sunday. Both times were terrific! On Friday, we shared the crab cake hushpuppies and beet salad for appetizers, both of which we thoroughly enjoyed. The crab cakes were like biting into the 8th wonder of the world--Wow! For the entrée, we had the filet mignon was cooked to perfection! Our server was an absolute delight! For brunch, we had the Appalachian shrimp & grits which had such a wonderfully rustic/earthy flavor, and the butcher's omelet which was so fluffy, fresh, and flavorful. The side of fruit could not have been any fresher! The thing that drove us back to the restaurant 'might' have been the Blueberry Basil Margarita. The non-alcoholic version was just as good if not better than the alcoholic version! The blueberry puree was truly the star. We will be sure to visit the next time we're in Knoxville!“

“Just back from a wonderful dinner at Kefi downtown. We started with Saganaki,
pan seared kasseri, fig jam, lemon, brandy flambé. The presentation was fun and the cheese was delicious. Hubby and I both had to have the Kokkinisto, beef short ribs slowly braised in st. george wine sauce, feta polenta, roasted tomato, heirloom carrots, spring peas. This entree was simply mouthwatering! The short ribs melted in my mouth! Our server Hannah was top notch! She asked if she should put our leftovers in one box. I said, “hell no! I have more than him and I’m not sharing!” She returned with boxes labeled “him and her”. Hubby ordered the Butterscotch Pecan Bread Pudding, sweet cream custard, butterscotch, roasted pecans, vanilla bean ice-cream flambéed tableside with butter-bourbon sauce. Again, awesome presentation with fire and outstanding flavor! I ordered Sokolatina, flourless chocolate torte, chocolate ganache, peanut butter mousse, chocolate tuile. It had to be dietetic since it was flourless…right? It was so rich and delicious, I almost had to take some home! Almost…

I would highly recommend this restaurant! All this and the check came to $115 before tip. I thought that was incredibly reasonable for the quality and quantity of food, fun atmosphere and fantastic service!“
