“We were checking out the Knoxville/Smoky Mountain area and were intrigued by a photo of The Abbey. We found Scott and Tanja very accommodating, friendly, and enthusiastic about the area they call home. Even let left-handed Dale take the right-handed guitar off the wall to attempt to play a tune.”

“Two things really stand out: 1) The food at this restaurant is DELICIOUS and 2) the staff and management are wonderful people. We ate here while attending Bugging the Dragon 7 (a Volkswagen enthusiast event) and the staff were so friendly and kind to our large group, allowing us to meet and park in their lot without cost. In addition to the accommodating and kind people who work at the restaurant, the food ROCKS! Particularly the appetizers. I highly suggest ordering the pretzel and the truffle fries.”

“The atmosphere was beautiful for us to celebrate our anniversary. Jacket required for men. We dined two consecutive evenings with different 4 course menus since it rotates every two days. The sommelier told us they have the second largest wine collection in the US, and they have a great selection of premium liquors. Between the courses, chef sent surprise tastings which elevated the experience. Before dessert, they sent Sorghum caramels. After I commented on how much I enjoyed them, our server went to the pastry chef and sent us home with 7 more caramels. Attention to detail and dedication to customer satisfaction made this an unforgettable dining experience.”

The staff were fantastic—friendly, attentive, and made the experience feel a little special. The atmosphere was unique, too, with the added twist of being mixed in with an ice cream shop. It gave the place a fun, upbeat vibe. Overall, a solid spot for a quick bite with great service and a quirky setting!”

“Found this place after reading a post on the Blackberry Smoke page. We have rode by it a dozen plus times over the years and never saw it as it is tucked away in the corner parking area. We sat outside with our dog and was greeted by Jennifer, who took a liking to Frieda, even brought her a treat (slice of bacon). The food was excellent, Hawaiian Tacos and one of their Smash Burgers, and the super friendly service was even better. This will be a regular stop for us, looking forward to the next time!”

“Our wedding cake was beautifully crafted and tasted amazing! We live out of state so Melissa sent us tasting boxes for us to try. We had a Zoom meeting and sent her an inspo pic of the design that we have on mind. We also ordered mini cupcakes and macarons. It turned out so beautiful and complemented our fall wedding vibe. Our guests absolutely loved it. Will definitely recommend!”

As someone who has worked in the service industry for over 15 years and has had the privilege of visiting top hotels and resorts around the world, I can confidently say this experience left me completely in awe. Sophie and Holly greeted us with warmth and professionalism and continued to be incredibly helpful throughout our stay. Their attention to detail and genuine kindness made all the difference. Our driver, Noah, was a standout as well. We were so impressed by how much he knew about the area, especially considering he’s relatively new—his passion and knowledge added such a thoughtful layer to our experience. Kathleen, who led our horseback riding excursion, deserves a special shoutout—12/10! Not only was she hilarious and personable, but her stories and historical knowledge of the farm and the Beall family were fascinating. It’s clear she deeply cares about the animals and the entire riding program, and the way she spoke about the family made it clear the staff are genuinely valued. The spa was a dream. When our riding ran a bit long, the staff kindly adjusted my appointment times so I didn’t feel rushed. The massage and facial were just what I needed, and the spa design—natural woods, calming blues—was straight out of a design magazine. Pure tranquility. Bridget at the pool was so helpful in making sure we didn’t miss out on any must-do activities, which made planning so much easier. And Liam went above and beyond—effortlessly adjusting our plans last minute, organizing a perfect box lunch, and even slipping in a few of the famous lemon cookies (which were a hit!). Lastly, Winston and Cole guided us on a fly fishing adventure we’ll never forget. With a perfect mix of instruction and humor, they had us casting like pros in no time—and catching fish with huge smiles on our faces. Every person we encountered made our stay feel personalized and special. We left relaxed, full of stories, and already dreaming of our return.
