“Two things really stand out: 1) The food at this restaurant is DELICIOUS and 2) the staff and management are wonderful people. We ate here while attending Bugging the Dragon 7 (a Volkswagen enthusiast event) and the staff were so friendly and kind to our large group, allowing us to meet and park in their lot without cost. In addition to the accommodating and kind people who work at the restaurant, the food ROCKS! Particularly the appetizers. I highly suggest ordering the pretzel and the truffle fries.”

“Our family loves this place. The sushi is fresh and delicious, the udon is also amazing, and the service is excellent. It’s wonderful to see a different flavor in Townsend and especially since our family loves Asian cuisine. We highly recommend!”

“We were checking out the Knoxville/Smoky Mountain area and were intrigued by a photo of The Abbey. We found Scott and Tanja very accommodating, friendly, and enthusiastic about the area they call home. Even let left-handed Dale take the right-handed guitar off the wall to attempt to play a tune.”

“We walked through Cades Cove. This is the place that you will be willing to wait 45 minutes before time to open. I came here once before and I still remember how good the burger and fries were. I had a cheeseburger meal this time too. It was so delicious. I enjoyed the music and cozy outdoor atmosphere while eating lunch. I’ll definitely be back.”

“We had a beautiful anniversary dinner at The Barn during our stay at BlackBerry Farm. The four course, farm to table menu had so many delectable choices. We ended up with a spread of lamb, NC trout, and a myriad of gorgeous vegetables and tantalizing sauces. The service was attentive without being overbearing and the modern barn decor had great ambiance. This was a one of kind special meal that we won’t forget!”

“I was a bit hesitant about stopping here after reading previous reviews but we had a great visit. We had just arrived and just wanted to get a quick sandwich. There only appeared to be 2 employees but the young lady who served us was very friendly. We had a nice little chat about recent travels and she was very nice. The food was good but by 8 pm they were out of meatballs so I didn't get the meatball sub I wanted but the turkey was good!”

“Found this place after reading a post on the Blackberry Smoke page. We have rode by it a dozen plus times over the years and never saw it as it is tucked away in the corner parking area. We sat outside with our dog and was greeted by Jennifer, who took a liking to Frieda, even brought her a treat (slice of bacon). The food was excellent, Hawaiian Tacos and one of their Smash Burgers, and the super friendly service was even better. This will be a regular stop for us, looking forward to the next time!”

“Hidden gem, beers and drinks are very affordable, has a great vibe hanger by the river with the water flowing over the rocks. Has games to play, corn hole, darts and others. You only know its there when you know its there, don't pass it up.”

“Our wedding cake was beautifully crafted and tasted amazing! We live out of state so Melissa sent us tasting boxes for us to try. We had a Zoom meeting and sent her an inspo pic of the design that we have on mind. We also ordered mini cupcakes and macarons. It turned out so beautiful and complemented our fall wedding vibe. As someone who has worked in the service industry for over 15 years and has had the privilege of visiting top hotels and resorts around the world, I can confidently say this experience left me completely in awe. From the moment we arrived, the service and hospitality were absolutely top-tier. Sophie and Holly greeted us with warmth and professionalism and continued to be incredibly helpful throughout our stay. Their attention to detail and genuine kindness made all the difference. Our driver, Noah, was a standout as well. We were so impressed by how much he knew about the area, especially considering he’s relatively new—his passion and knowledge added such a thoughtful layer to our experience. Kathleen, who led our horseback riding excursion, deserves a special shoutout—12/10! Not only was she hilarious and personable, but her stories and historical knowledge of the farm and the Beall family were fascinating. It’s clear she deeply cares about the animals and the entire riding program, and the way she spoke about the family made it clear the staff are genuinely valued. The spa was a dream. When our riding ran a bit long, the staff kindly adjusted my appointment times so I didn’t feel rushed. The massage and facial were just what I needed, and the spa design—natural woods, calming blues—was straight out of a design magazine. Pure tranquility. Bridget at the pool was so helpful in making sure we didn’t miss out on any must-do activities, which made planning so much easier. And Liam went above and beyond—effortlessly adjusting our plans last minute, organizing a perfect box lunch, and even slipping in a few of the famous lemon cookies (which were a hit!). Lastly, Winston and Cole guided us on a fly fishing adventure we’ll never forget. With a perfect mix of instruction and humor, they had us casting like pros in no time—and catching fish with huge smiles on our faces. Every person we encountered made our stay feel personalized and special. We left relaxed, full of stories, and already dreaming of our return. BlackBerry Mountain, thank you for the endless memories- we cannot wait to come back.”
