“The atmosphere was calm this evening. There were a few "older" groups of ladies there enjoying their sweet treats.Me,My mother & my 3 daughters stopped by on our way home to grab some ice cream.There was one girl working, but she was fast and efficient enough for my 2 (very impatient) toddlers. She was kind and let me try a sample of their new Marshmallow ice cream-10/10. I decided on that flavor, on a waffle cone. My mom got her norm, I call it almond joys take on ice cream. We also got, little Blue panda, chocolate chip, superman and praline pecan.All flavors were fresh and delicious.Vonore is my (little) home town. If you blink, you'll miss it.So I like to support our local businesses and watch them grow.If your in the area, stop by and give them a try! I promise, You'll be glad ya did!If headed south on 411 they're on your left,less than a quarter mile before the red light at hwy 72. If headed north on 411,After you pass McDonald's and the gas station, start looking for them on your right.“

“I haven't had ice cream this good for a very long time. Rocky's has a variety of unusual flavors alongside the favorites like cookies&cream and rocky road. There is the option of scooped ice cream, or soft serve with different flavor elements mixed in. They make their own waffle cones in house, and you will be ruined for the cones elsewhere. The banana pudding ice cream is a great Southern addition and great paired with a scoop of chocolate. Pecan Praline was outstanding, because their pecans are large enough that you can bite into each one and taste the caramel coating.We tried the hot dogs along with our ice cream, and they were perfectly fine, but didn't hold a candle to the ice cream.There are tables inside and outside to eat at. I was told that on summer evenings, the line is very long, and I believe I can say it's for good reason!“

“They've always been great at this location, but last night they went above and beyond! It was a bit chilly, down to about 40°. I walked up and ordered my food and sat patiently at one of the tables waiting for my meal to arrive. The young lady brought out my food, took my payment, and was so sweet to ask me if I wanted something to drink, told her no it's too cold to carry a drink walking... so she offered me a hot chocolate with whipped cream to help keep me warm whilst I walked back to which I came. She came back out with a hot chocolate and told me she'd go ahead and take care of it and to have a good night. I wish I had gotten her name, but she needs to know how much she made my night, made my week actually with her kindness. It's been a rough go lately and she singlehandedly out some faith back in humanity for me; helped restore a little faith that the world still has good people in it. And she is one of them, an angel. So to the young lady who gave me the hot chocolate, TY from the bottom of my heart, i will pay it forward, and you deserve a raise and some recognition for being so awesome. :-)“
