“This is my go-to spot! The employees are always super friendly. And service is quick and always on point! They even have kid friendly options which is a plus and makes this a one stop shop. Thanks to all of you for always taking care of me! Y’all are the bomb dot com! ?“
“This is, without a doubt, the best restaurant (old school or new school) in San Antonio. All the rest are pretenders! Cappy has been serving us all since the mid 70's. American food, touch of Cajun, a big dose of delicious! Don't miss the coconut cream pie! A local secret! Start to finish, FOOD, SERVICE, AMBIANCE! You name it. This IS the place. Good luck getting a table. I recommend, start early.“
“Happy hour if we was on point. Nice, and right with beer. Felt like mom and Pop vibe. the service is quick and friendly. Definitely a lot of room to have the whole Familia. If you know what I mean locals laugh out loud. I'm looking forward to having this spot as my new local plug-in for the family that comes out of town and the food is on point.“
“Visiting from out of town we had a wonderful experience at Bar Loretta. It was great to see a local not on the River Walk thrive. The service was top notch from Ray! We loved everything from the cocktails to the appetizers (recommend the quail, shrimp and scallops), burrata beet salad, and entrees (our daughter said the Loretta burger was the best she ever had). Great experience from start to finish. Highly recommend!“
“We had a large group and were well taken care of. They have a great little patio and a cute interior space. Our group got everything from intricate cocktails to canned beer. There was a small menu but we were there for a nightcap. They close relatively early so plan to make it an early spot.“
“Our favorite sandwich shop now! I usually get the Power Plant with jalapeño hummus though all the varieties of sandwich look delicious! Love the toasted taste and the eclectic vibe of this restaurant! This location has a great patio too, so it's great for meeting with your SO and or a friend group. Also love their baked goodies! The folks who work there give awesome service - they're all friendly and very helpful! I first visited the Austin location with my college student then when I saw the sign here in SA I was super excited! And they don't disappoint!! It's truly an awesome shop! Make it your next stop and enjoy it!!“
“Damion was our server for our granddaughter’s birthday dinner. He was attentive and polite, quick service, he made sure our babygirl felt special on her special day, by surprising her with a sparkling candle on her dessert. Excellent service. Delightful young man.“
“Customer service was great. Host was fast to get us seated(party of 2). They only had one bartender so there was a little wait for drinks. Food was okay, would definitely try some thing different next time. The sliders looked great we saw another table order but we were already full. Would try those next possibly.“
“We've been here for cocktails many times. We bring our friends here when they're visiting from out of town, and they've all been impressed. We love to sit on the patio and people-watch. We visited yesterday and the server was very attentive.“
“This was our first visit to Maggiano's and it by far exceeded our expectations. The service was excellent and food was absolutely delicious (my family of three had the shrimp scampi, chicken alfredo, and chicken and spinach manicotti). There was a very small delay in receiving one of our appetizers which we later found out was because of an issue with their oven. The delay was so small we didn't even notice, but the manager knew of it approached our table and apologized and offered us a free desert. I believe they removed the appetizer from our bill as well. It was above and beyond. Take note all you other restaurants out there, this is customer service! Thank you Maggiano's for a great dining experience.“
“Fantastic food and high end service. BABY WEDGE was crispy, fresh and my favorite part was the buttermilk ranch with blue cheese and crisps of beacon. Chef’s special was my main dish that included sort fish with crab lumps, Bucatini and some spices…… it was absolutely delicious. Definitely recommend SILO if you like flavor in your dish.“
“Parillada Mixta is beef steak, chicken breast, port chop and jalapeño sausage. Each was the BEST I have had in any restaurant for years. Together an unmissable experience. It's worth the few minutes walk out of the ultra touristy River Walk to a truly exceptional restaurant.“
“I love coming here. The mixologist are always so energetic and friendly. They know what they’re doing. They joke with you, they’re personable. There is no drink menus they make drinks from things of your liking. Your choice of spirit (rum, vodka, whiskey etc) then additional things you like (strong, sweet, floral, fruity, coffee, herbal, spicy, etc) if it your first time there, the mixologist will explain it how it works to you. The inside is a little small with comfy couches and chairs, often it does get a little packed and when that does happen, they will let you know when you come in that they are at maximum complicity however, they have an additional bar outside that will do everything out there that they do inside! Their patio area is cute too. Outside they have little propane fire pits, umbrellas, a canopy, a little patio, and the mixologist out there is also fun, entertaining, and personable. They rotate who is outside so it is always a different person. The bathrooms are unisex but signs are on the doors that state men and women.“
“It's like the White Rabbit reincarnated itself, gained a floor and moved to the Riverwalk. Excellent staff. Great acoustics for a life sound and a super fun, walk right up to the stage crowd.Learn To Swim was AMAZING! That is the lead singer Isiah as the Mad Hatter and the fascinating John Zambrano, San Antonio native and local GQ and Event Glitter.“
“I stumbled on this place through an Instagram post (which normally is more hype than substance), but dang this place is great. The burger was perfect, huge, and a great price. I got a side of tots that were cooked to perfection. This is my new favorite burger spot in town. Highly recommend.“
“One of the best ladies and greatest Places to play games card games have fun. Have a drink have a snack. Look at books open up packs. Listen to some great music you can even have your own room. Also they have improv which is pretty great. The community is very nice everyone there is welcome and See you.“
“I've been a few times now and have never had a bad experience. The parking lot's a little small, so that can be difficult on a busy night, but that's probably my only complaint and even then I'll always recommend stopping here on a night out. The drinks are great, vibes immaculate, and the staff is amazing! I typically get the Molly Ringwald, but have tried many of their cocktails and they're all so good. You can't really go wrong. I also love that they have non-alcoholic options as well, so no one feels left out. On my most recent visit, we got a round of shots and I asked the bartender if she could make one non-alcoholic. No hesitation, absolutely, and our DD was so excited and appreciative to be included for once. It's definitely become one of our go-to spots.“
“5 stars all around! For the drinks, the vibe, the staff. I love coming here bc it feels like you’ve walked into another time period. It makes me want to dress up - are there themed events yet!? :) the staff and very genuine and good at their craft. They pay attention to people, look at you when ordering, and some of them even recognize me coming in a second or third time. It’s warm and oh-so-inviting! I even brought my mom here and she loved it. I haven’t even mentioned how fab the drinks are. I love whiskey and mezcal and they have the best selection I’ve yet to find in the city.“
“My friends wanted to do karaoke so we found Zombies Bar! The horror-themed decorations are great! And there's multiple TV screens playing horror movies and even a section for a couple of arcade games if you're not in the mood for karaoke. The environment is super chill and supportive, as I would normally never sing in front of strangers. My friends and I waited about an hour until it was our turn. It was a lot of fun! Taking off one star because I thought the ladies restroom could've been more clean. And the stall door didn't have a handbag hook.“
“Nice brunch venue. I went to attend a Sunday morning workout from Camp Gladiator, followed by brunch. After the workout, I ordered off the shareable portion of the menu. I ordered the cornbread, brussel sprouts, a side of bacon, and the breakfast old fashion. The cornbread came in a small cast-iron skillet. To me, it was enough to share with one other person. It served with "jalapeño butter" - chopped (possibly pickled) jalapeño mixed with soft butter. I've never had that, but I know I'm going to look for and request it when dining out. The brussel sprouts were flash fried, which I prefer over oven roasted. Very crispy. It was the best tasting brussel sprouts I've had since I can recall. It was paired with a garlic aioli. The "side" of bacon was larger than expected, five or six pieces. It was well done, but not crispy. Very good. The breakfast old fashion was excellent! As much as I wanted to order another one, or two, I was driving. So I relegated myself to only one.Overall, the staff were nice enough. Nothing over the top as far as service goes. I requested an item, but the young lady working at our table must have forgotten. After some time waiting, I got up and asked someone else.I will most likely return again. Truth be told, it'll most likely be if/when they pair up with Camp Gladiator again.“
“Love this place ❤️ it's got a great bag of seafood for a great price. Everything I've had here is pretty good and the sat spice is worth a try. I would highly recommend if your looking for seafood boil. The market price is probably one of the best I've seen in San “
“The staff was friendly and quick. The drinks were great the peach campfire margarita is a must try if that's your thing. The wings were pizzeria wings, but really good pizzeria wings. The pizzas were great! The meat lovers was great and the gluten free house was over loaded with toppings. They have made good progress for cross contamination because I never felt bad afterwards. 10/10Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free“
“A quaint little bar with a big personality! In our search for a bar with an open kitchen, we landed at the Urban Yard Bar. The bartender could not have been any more kind & helpful. Always love when we walk into an establishment & are greeted with a hearty 'hello' .. as if we had been expected. We loved our visit & would definitely return! The food was delicious ? & atmosphere is fun & lively!“
“Cream is an amazing place to go for goths. Every visit I’ve seen all varieties of gothic subcultures. You know it’s a great place when you see some of the same people each time you go. If you’re looking for a smaller place to lurk at night and be with other goths, this is the place for you.The atmosphere has improved over time with a little more new decor and never fails to be spooky. The staff are attentive to your order and keep it strictly business. They’re not overly friendly, but not rude either, just normal goths. For people who are new to the goth scene or those who have curiosity, Cream and its patrons have given the impression that all are welcome and judgement free. It’s chill with great music to vibe to and get lost in the moment. Drinks are about what you expect at a bar, however their speciality drinks don’t break the bank, I’d recommend giving one a try if you’re feeling adventurous. There a mango one my friends really enjoyed. On that note, can’t wait for the night club to open!“
“Jaime’s is an oasis in the middle of the live music desert known as San Antonio. From the moment you walk in, you feel like you just walked into a happy, family reunion. It feels like a big hug, a refuge from the anxiety ridden existence so many are living with today.Bringing in acts from the best soul labels on the planet (Colemine and Daptone) is a huge gold star for Jaime and his crew. SA has a really hard time bringing these bands in as they most often play Austin, where the bands are easily selling out. The fact is however, that SA has a thirst for latin, blues and soul and someone is finally focusing on introducing us to these genres.Beer by the bucket and pitchers of draft are a steal and a full bar awaits those who prefer something stronger or fruitier. The food is reasonable and Jaime patrols the entire scene like a happy shark. He manages this venue, from bar backing to finding parking spots. He runs a tight ship and it really shows.I can’t think of any place in SA I would rather see a show. Bring your own folding chairs if you like, or come early and grab a seat close to the stage. The only thing I could ask for is that they put out multiple water stations, away from the outside ordering area.Love the Blues and Soul fest and can’t wait to see y’all in a week or so for The Altons and Thee Sinseers!“
“I love this place. Reminds me of NYC delis but cleaner and better quality food. Plus, they have some fantastic cocktails so it's a win all around.Happy hours here are definitely worth looking into. The five dollar burger on Tuesday is perhaps the best deal in town- it's cheaper than McDonald's but like actual high quality food and dang tasty. My favorite is Elaine's big salad (or whatever it's called). The ranch dressing is exquisite.Staff is super friendly - shout out to Austin and Alyssa for running the bar like absolute pros while also taking care of tables!“
“Great bar with inside and outside seating options. Everyone is super friendly! I chose to sit outside because there was a covered patio, live music and plenty of fans to keep you cool. The inside is too smoky for me but it looked chill with plenty of tables, slots and the restrooms were clean!“
“Easy Street Bar is an absolute hidden gem in our local scene! Walking through its doors feels like stepping into a cozy oasis where time slows down and good times roll. The ambiance exudes a charming dive bar vibe that instantly puts you at ease. The jukebox, filled with an eclectic selection of tunes, sets the perfect backdrop for laughter and conversations with friends old and new.The allure of Easy Street goes beyond its inviting atmosphere; their pool tables offer endless hours of friendly competition, making every visit memorable. And let's not forget the food – a delightful surprise that takes traditional bar fare to a whole new level. The menu boasts mouthwatering options that satisfy both cravings and appetites. But what truly sets Easy Street apart is its sense of community. The regulars, the staff – everyone here feels like family, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie that's hard to find elsewhere. Whether you're seeking a chill evening with friends or a solo escape from the daily grind, Easy Street Bar is the place to be. It's not just a bar; it's a haven where music, games, food, and camaraderie effortlessly come together. Cheers to Easy Street Bar for consistently delivering an exceptional experience!“
“29 Dec 2023 This used to be called the St. Joseph's Society Hall or something close. We had our 25th wedding anniversary at this venue. That was 20 years ago. They still do events in the hall area. Now it's touted as Southtown Joe's, a cute little bar with pool tables, darts, electronic games and several TVs to watch sports. Our bartender Sondra was great. Personable, on point. There is karaoke Fridays at 8pm. Got off on a late start today, though. Oh well. It turned out OK. Go there.“
“Me and my fiancé love the food here especially the Birria pizza! Well anything Birria is really good we haven’t tried the other food yet but I bet it’s just as delicious! And every time we come the service is always great never fails to always cater to our needs and always very nice“
“Food is always the highest quality and at a reasonable price. Excellent Enchelada special on Wednesday for $6.95. Quesadillas are always good. Have never had a bad meal here and have been a regular since their opening six years ago. Service is always friendly and attentive.“
“Love this place! The entertainment was great, the set up and the stage is nice and easy to see, and the staff is friendly and kind. it's also not ridiculously expensive! Most places for cover bands want to charge crazy money for a table or VIP experience, but this was very reasonable. We had a great table upfront and the table for two was only $50 for really high-quality entertainment. I didn't want no VIP package, I just wanted to listen to some good music, and the band Radio Journey was on point! They sang great rock hits from the 70s and 80s of course from Journey, but also Pat Benatar, Heart, Loverboy, Night Ranger, Van Halen and more!Anyway, great people, good place, reasonable prices; what more is there to say? check them out! You'll be glad you did!“
“The service was fast & exceptional! My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our appetizer as well as the main course. The Crown Pepsi bar drink was mixed well and didn’t make my girlfriend feel yucky. Phew! We sat outside and loved the scenery as well as the nice breeze. Thank you very much, and we will be coming back again!“
“This is one of my favorite go to spots. I live for the matzo ball soup, I don't recall a time that I've visited and not paired it with my meal! The pimento cheese app is delicious as well. Another great option is the Elaine's big Salad. The staff is kind and the restaurant is always clean and organized.“
“Hidden secret. Great pub food, exceptional good-hearted service, fantastic prices, if you don't come here you should ask yourself why not. Did I mention they have Yueng Ling on draft? I'm not special, but I don't review often unless the place is worth it, do as you please.“
“Very welcoming place. I saw folks of all walks of life there socializing in a safe space. Sadly i take a picture but they have a very cool mural. Also at one point the bar tender was playing classic anime theme songs. Really brought my inside kid out while hanging out with friends. Very cute spot.“
“I love that I can pop in and it will be friendly faces at the bar and behind the bar!!! Wednesdays and Thursdays are my favorites though!!! Wednesday with Hannah and Danni behind the bar and game night made it even better!!! Thursdays with live music and those tender steaks!!!! I’d like to give a review of everyday but not enough room to do so! Try this place out if you’re in the neighborhood any day of the week to be honest!!!“
“This place was fantastic and a great night cap for our food outing downtown. The venue has ample indoor and outdoor seating, packed full of smiling people. The DJ was absolutely killing it with one turntable, a mixer and Serato/Rekordbox? Either way, highly recommend this place for people who want to make some new friends, get some good drinks and just relax.I was outside having a heart to heart with a friend and when we went inside, it was like the vibe completely changed. The bartenders work their a$& off all night to make hundreds of those fancy cocktails!Anyways, solid spot. Food in front, party inside and you can dance without people getting upset. Spread the love and bring the good vibes.Thank you Amor Eterno for treating us so well ❤️*We Ubered here and did not have anyone underage in our group. We did not order food. This would probably not be kid friendly but what do I know?*“
“A friend of mine wanted to go as soon as they opened & I had never been. The female working was professional, fast & friendly. I have to give props to whoever designed the place. The vibe, decor, layout & overall atmosphere was ??“
“Didn't have food this time but the Margarita WAS THE BOMB!!! I've had many B4 but dang!!! The mixologist Edward was sweet and the drink was PERFECT!The blue lemon drops were divine on the tongueNice cozy atmosphere and good music.“
“We visited The Buckhorn Saloon on a weekday so it wasn’t super busy. Only went for lunch. Ordered The Buckhorn Burger. Huge burger, pretty tasty. My husband and I split the burger - picture shows size of my half of the burger. The atmosphere, however, was fantastic! Loved the saloon and all of the big game trophies on the walls. Definitely want to make a return visit to wander through the museum.Parking: Parking lot is located across the street from The Buckhorn Saloon.“
“Food was phenomenal!! Please be sure to check your receipts if you're paying with a gift card, or multiple cards as in our case. We handed our waitress two gift cards and asked her to process what was on the cards and use our credit card for the difference. Long story short, both cards were not used and the credit card was charged more as a result. The manager was very kind and understanding and made it right by reversing the transaction and started from the beginning.“
“The atmosphere changes from day to day. I totally love it!!! One night it's karaoke, the next live band, then u have the dj, and u can't forget about the beautiful bartenders. Come check it out. It's worth the listening pleasure.“
“Let me tell you about Pigpen in San Antonio - it's the kind of place that steals your heart faster than you can say "oink!" The first time I waltzed in, it was like stumbling upon a hidden gem - fairly empty, which I secretly loved. But let me warn you, every other time? Jam-packed, and for good reason! Now, onto the main event - the food. I dove into a plate of wings and a chicken slider, and let me just say, yum, yum, yum! It's like a flavor explosion in your mouth that makes you want to dance a little jig of joy. Finally, a spot serving up killer bar food that isn't just another taco joint - Pigpen, you're doing it oh-so-right!And let's not forget about the libations. We sipped on classic cocktails and beer all night long, thanks to the fabulous Courtney, our bartender extraordinaire. She's not just attentive, she's like your long-lost drinking buddy who knows exactly what you need before you even ask.But here's the real kicker - the nachos. Oh boy, oh boy, were we in for a treat! Brisket on everything? Yes, please! Pigpen knows what's up, and let me tell you, it's a flavor sensation you won't soon forget. So, do yourself a favor and trot on over to Pigpen immediately. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you later!“
“Absolutely love this place! It's in an amazing location and is truly a hidden gem in Southtown! There's something for the adults and children! The flavors are absolutely amazing ?? You need to be sure to there quick before it's sold out! Check out their Instagram to stay most up to date on limited edition flavors! And if you love a certain one, ask about purchasing pints to take home!I always can't wait til "YETI TRACKS" comes out! I usually order 3 pints to take home!“
“Has a simple family owned feeling. Probably the best Mexican food I've had in a long time if not ever. The magonado was an exceptional and unique margarita. I'd recommend this place to anyone who finds themselves in the area, but it's also worth the drive if you're not in the area.“
“I was just walking around on a Wednesday evening and came across, Pink Catrina Taco Club. What a great find and everyone at the club was very friendly. Drinks, music, comfort vibe, and exceptional staff and customers. I'll definitely be going back and try the food. Good time memories at the Pink Catrina Taco Club.“
“My boyfriend and I stumbled across near dark randomly recently. We walked in and Jenn was so attentive and made us a special drink upon request! The playlist was top tier. My boyfriend and I jammed out and knew every song! 10/10 would recommend! Coffin coffee was outstanding! Sweet but still strong. Aesthetic is everything and more you would want.“
“We are from Rhode Island and we wanted to check out a local bar. We were told to try the Lonesome Rose, and it didn’t disappoint. The doorman was super friendly and the bartender was great. He made a tasty margarita. I love this atmosphere, and wish that we didn’t live so far away.“
“I had the philly cheese steak, and the rest of the fam (kids included) had burgers. Everyone loved their meal. We went on a Sunday after church, so it was fairly quiet. The kids were entertained by the games (arcade, basketball, 'the claw') while we waited for our food. Some of the games weren't working. Some games took quarters/dollars, and some took a credit card. The atmosphere is a casual/divey sports bar. It definitely has a local casual feel to it with lots of large tvs to catch a variety of sports. It is kid friendly, but I wouldn't bring them there past early dinner on a Friday or Saturday.“
