“I recently visited Dairy Queen in Alvarado, and I was incredibly impressed by the entire experience. The chicken finger basket was cooked to perfection – the chicken and fries were delicious, and the gravy was excellent.
The lobby was immaculate and spotless; it's clear this location is exceptionally well-maintained and has a sophisticated, welcoming look. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with utmost kindness and respect. The service was incredibly fast, taking maybe only two minutes, yet without compromising on quality. You can truly feel the dedication of the management and staff here.
Beyond the excellent food and service, I deeply appreciate that this Dairy Queen provides a free kids meal with the purchase of a combo on Mondays. This is a special that is done in Johnson county (Cleburne, Alvarado,Joshuaand etc) and is subject to change my location and availability in the future. This policy truly reflects a people-first and child-friendly attitude, demonstrating a genuine commitment to the community.

“Where do I start? The cookies are unbelievable! So far, everything I’ve tried has been amazing. My very favorite is the Oreo Cookie! Tastes just like an Oreo. The big cookies are huge. I first bought the box of 4 big cookies. The box was 17” long! Be sure to buy the cookie cutter too. When you cut the big cookie, a fourth of it is the size of a regular cookie! Honest! In fact, I’m headed there today!“

“Ice cream is good but this pina colada is very dry. Thought it would be drizzled with something on top and it was not. Also, pineapple tasted old not fresh. Not my favorite!“

I L♥️VE their Turtle Sundae.. vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, hot caramel, whipping cream, nuts and the cherry. You will be moaning and rolling eyes with pleasure.
Also in the grocery area, quick pick ups for a meal, great frozen desserts to take home. I highly recommend their Pecan and Cherry Pies.. Enjoy!“

“So good food and great service, but so weird. So the girl that looks like Olive Oyl from popeye just started talking shit to us in the middle of the dining room. I guess she was talking to us while we were in a conversation about serious matters. So I really dont know what she was saying. But this definitely made us laugh.“

“12/4/25 4:30pm.. I just tried the beef burrito and super nachos. I think they both could had a little more beef and cheese but it was still very delicious. I should have taken a picture before i hav eaten both. Maybe next time. Im definitely going back.“
