“We came here for drinks and apps one evening and was wowed by a beautiful sunset over Austin. We snagged a seat around a firepit, which was nice as there was a slight chill. The drinks, too, helped warm us up as we tried two different dips to go with the nacho chips. This is an expensive view, don't be fooled, but an excellent one if you are in the area.“

“We love this place! We’ve gone for the Body Rock events a few times and had a blast. The bar is small but they usually have three or four bartenders that keep the line moving. Water is available at your convenience and trust me you’ll need it! It’s a bit toasty when you get everyone dancing together! Plenty of parking, great outdoor patio, food truck in the back too.“

“This hotel restaurant is 5 minutes from our house. It’s been there for approximately 2 1/2 years and I had no idea it existed. While running errands at five in the evening I decided I didn’t want to cook so I googled restaurants in my zip code. This restaurant popped up with 4.5 stars. The reviews were impressive so we decided to try it. I’m so happy that we did. The hotel and grounds are beautiful. The restaurant is lovely, well appointed, and has great ambience. The bar tender, Ray, was so attentive and helpful with the menu. Probably the best martini I’ve ever had. I don’t say that lightly as our business was based in travel so I’ve dined in some very prestigious hotel restaurants as well as enjoyed fine dining during many business dinners. The drinks were stellar and the food exceeded my expectations. We enjoyed the lamb meatballs in an agradolce sauce and the brisket nachos. Both were superb. I am extremely critical of food as I’m a very good cook(aspiring chef)😊 This will be on our frequent flyer list from now on. The prices are very reasonable. In today’s economy we have experienced a sudden and universal decline in food quality with more than a few restaurants. This was such a pleasure, surprise, and all around delightful experience. Fresh ingredients with perfectly blended spices speak for themselves.“

“Drinks are definitely overpriced, small size. Honestly, happy hour is the only time it feels worth it. Bartender wasn’t the most welcoming, sadly! a smile would’ve made the experience better. The pool’s more for looks than lounging, it’s super shallow. And heads up! just snacks, no real food. To be real, I’d only come back for happy hour or a special event.“

“Good service, drinks were okay. I liked that it was happy hour and a decent selection was half off. The music was so loud at 5 pm and hardly anyone was there. I didn’t understand why there were bouncers there but maybe this is a young person club spot and I’m just old. Never the less, staff was friendly and kind.“

“Great place, brought my wife for our anniversary and we really enjoyed ourselves. I reserved seating next to the balcony and had an amazing view of downtown Austin. The staff had really great customer service and service was quick and we received our drinks and food in a timely manner and not to mention they have us a complementary glass of champagne for the both of us. “We had reservations for 6pm at the bar for a party of 4. Upon arriving at 5:50pm, we checked in for our table. We waited for 30 minutes to get our table. I asked how much longer would we have to wait and were told the party at our table was just now being served desserts. This indicated to us that we would have to wait at least another 20 minutes to get our table that we reserved in the bar. At this point. we requested to be seated in another dining area. We were promptly seated in the small dining room adjacent to the bar. The service we received in that dining room, table 202 was excellent. Gabriel was very attentive and an excellent waiter. The food was excellent. The only reason I cannot give a total 5 start rating is the mishap with our reservation in the bar. We have been to Eddie V's many times and have never experienced such a huge delay in being seated, especially given that we had a reservation.“

Blink and you’ll miss it… This little gem is tucked away behind a bookshelf in the Firehouse Hostel. Weekends it’s open noon to two otherwise the fun starts at five.

I make this a staple each time I stop in Austin Try the Cosmo. It’s the bomb!“

Great sound system, great bar food (kitchen in-house) incredible bartenders (Molly😊) and did I mention that there’s a sweet-ass record shop here too(?)! “What you see is what you get, but the staff is great and they are kind and welcoming to musicians of all stripes, unlike a lot of Austin’s venues. The acoustics are surprisingly good - my old band recorded 2 live albums there and they sounded as good as anything else we did.“

If you want great service, an ok selection of alcohol, a broken patio table (pictured), and a couple of highly self-conscious comics looking for open mic-style practice this is the place to go on a Tuesday.

They laid into the audience so hard I wouldn't have been surprised if we saw Will Smith v Chris Rock round 2..

“Sophisticated and intimate ambience. Some covered patio seating as well as indoor seating. We ordered several appetizers and the braised short ribs. The Hamachi and the Bluefin Tuna Carpaccio were out of this world. Both could be shared by 4 people if you just want a bite. The Beet Tartare was served with 2 pieces of grilled flatbread, and it was delicious. The butternut squash fritters were so light and crisp. They were served with a pepita butter, but I think a savory sauce might also be good. The perfectly cooked braised short rib was served over a thin layer of pureed potatoes that were so creamy and delicious. A beautiful dining experience overall.“

“I don't get out often and I'm not much on being around large groups of people. But for being my first time here I was definitely impressed and I will definitely be coming back . Great service staff is very helpful and attentive food is good and reasonably priced. And the atmosphere is phenomenal and that's coming from an introvert lol. If you're in Austin TX you should stop by.“

“Very chill and comfy-feeling bar w/stage. I drove down from Dallas to see a few bands play, and the vibe was awesome. The door guy was patient with me as I paid the cover and was nice. The bartender was very nice as well. Food from Marinara Miracles was SO GOOD.

There’s plenty of seating all over, upstairs and down. They’ve got pinball and arcade games in the main bar area, and pool and air-hockey upstairs.

Overall, a really nice dive. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Austin.“

“Six ladies had lunch and a planning meeting at Plate today and the food and service provided by Marco & Ryan were both wonderful! We were seated at a nice round table so that we could talk and it was perfect for our group. Plate is always a great place for lunch or dinner and now they’re serving brunch on the weekend!“
