“I finally found a bakery in Austin that has the perfectly crafted, out of this world cakes and pastries. It’s quite a drive from my house but I will even walk to this place for the deliciousnesses. My son’s new favorite and mine too…Plus their cakes feel so light on body and soul…Thanks to the one who bakes these beauties.“
“85 degrees has the best taro bun! Their pastries are delicious; however, not being much of a cake lover - My partner surprised me with a variety of sliced cakes which was perfect for me. The tiramisu was fresh, very bold, and would go very well with coffee. The mango cheesecake was refreshing, but not so much my preference and as for the strawberry layered crème, absolutely delicious. What a surprise!85 degrees never disappoints. Every time I am in Austin, this is always a place on my list to drop by before making the drive back home. I can’t wait for your opening in San Antonio!“
“Modern yet cozy atmosphere, fantastic drinks top to bottom (kudos to americano and golden milk), and a great selection of food for a coffee shop. Bonus: super thoughtful beer and wine list, and an unusually robust selection of non-alcoholic drinks. This place + Lamar pedestrian bridge + downtown library = chill afternoon“
“Went to an Austin Farmers Market. Partner bought me "The Perfect Cookie" but it was not even close to TeddyV. My two pack cost less than that pack, weighed so much more, and was the great cookie of dreams. Ate one and was full for a day. The other I saved for last. It was the same amazingness. Thanks for helping me recover from an imPerfect Cookie!! Lately I am far less into chocolate cookies, have moved savory. But all I can say is I am glad I don't live in Austin as I would gain too much. But any time I pass you know I will want your perfect (and huge and heave and wonderful) cookie!“
“Nestled in the vibrant heart of Austin, Mañana is more than just a coffee shop; it's a sanctuary for coffee aficionados and a beacon for those seeking a moment of tranquility in their busy lives. This gem of a spot has quickly become my go-to for not only its exceptional coffee but also for the ambiance that feels both modern and welcoming. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by the inviting aroma of freshly brewed coffee, hinting at the quality and care put into each cup. Mañana's dedication to excellence is evident in their selection of beans, sourced from some of the best roasters, and their baristas' skillful preparation. Whether you're a fan of a classic espresso, a beautifully layered latte, or one of their seasonal specials, each sip is a testament to their passion for coffee. But Mañana offers more than just top-tier beverages. Their assortment of pastries and light bites, all crafted with the same attention to detail and quality as their drinks, are the perfect companions to your coffee. From flaky croissants to hearty, wholesome sandwiches, there's something for every palate and time of day.The interior of Mañana, with its sleek design and ample natural light, creates an atmosphere that encourages you to linger, whether you're diving into a good book, catching up on work with their free Wi-Fi, or enjoying a quiet chat with friends. The outdoor seating area, surrounded by lush greenery, offers a serene retreat in the heart of the city, perfect for those sunny Austin days. What truly sets Mañana apart, however, is the sense of community it fosters. The staff are not only knowledgeable and passionate about their craft but also genuinely friendly, making everyone from first-time visitors to regulars feel right at home. It's this combination of exceptional coffee, inviting space, and warm hospitality that makes Mañana a standout in Austin's bustling coffee scene.Mañana has captured the essence of what a coffee shop should be: a place of refuge and delight, offering excellent coffee, delicious treats, and a welcoming atmosphere. It's a must-visit for anyone in Austin looking to experience the best of what the city's coffee culture has to offer.“
“Selection was very limited. Canelle was delicious. Blue berry tart was acceptable and fresh. Chocolate croissant was average, not flaky or light enough for me. I would have tried more things, but not much left. Might give their new location a try one day. It's just a trek for me.“
“I ordered a custom birthday cake for my daughter’s 4th birthday and it was incredibly delicious and beautiful! The vanilla filling was so good! Stephanie responded to my emails super quick and provided great feedback about the cake’s size, flavor and decorations. Highly recommend Violette’s Bakehouse.“
