“The atmosphere was welcoming. I was timid about entering since I didn’t know the restaurant is inside the Hindu temple, and I had never been in one. Each dish was amazing and the flavors exploded in my mouth. The food is real natural, fresh, authentic vegetarian Indian food. The tamarind tea/lemonade was my favorite. It is the color of sweet tea, but taste like a rich bold lemonade. The dining area was also beautiful a mixture of indoor and outdoor with strong appreciation for nature
Definitely coming to Kalachandji’s again.

“Drive-In restaurant that’s a bit confusing on the ordering process when you haven’t been here before. You park and someone comes up to you, and you flash your lights on apparently to get there attention, however that didn’t work for us. Nonetheless, very good price for the burgers and fries and drink that you get.“

“This little joint has been an East Dallas treasure for some time. When you think of mom's home made breakfast. Best describes Gold Rush, from the fluffiest pancakes which IMHO is their clame to fame. I might order a tradional fried egg and bacon breakfast, but bet your bottom dollar it's coming with a short stack of pancakes. As you imagine the tastiest ham slice. remember that they do lunch. fall apart pot roast, hamburgers will not disappoint, chicken fried steak, why not have an omelet for brunch, they'll do it just right. It's not a big place in any way. You get there and you see an empty table go ahead and seat yourself. if there's a short line. you might have to stand between 5 and 8 minutes but everyone in line is cordial. when guests leave their table, grab it, even if it hasn't been cleared off very shortly someone will come by a cleaned your table. while you wait hopefully a member of staff already given you a menu. Be ready when someone takes your order. and the place can be hopping. Give it a shot, I'm sure you will find your visit enjoyable and the food done right.“
