“ELISE CUISINE is the manifestation of owner Rocio’s ten-year dream, and her dedication and commitment to her dream is evident down to the smallest details. The dining space is simple, but quite lovely, and the atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. Service was excellent and perfectly balanced in attentiveness. With hours of 7 AM to 4 PM, this is a breakfast and lunch place, with a varied and adventurous menu that caters to meat-eaters, vegetarians, vegans, and diners in need of gluten-free alternatives. On my first visit, I had the excellent spicy fried chicken sandwich, with sides of home fries and a wonderful arugula salad with cherry tomatoes, quinoa, and a balsamic vinaigrette perfectly blended between sweet and acidic. I look forward to returning again and sampling the extensive breakfast menu. Plenty of beverages are available, and there is a stately espresso machine that speaks to a restaurant that means business when it comes to coffee. This area of Potranco has been in dire need of a sit-down coffee house alternative to Starbucks, and ELISE CUISINE is it. I’ll admit that I was initially a bit cowed by the menu prices, but the portions are very generous; I left with half my meal unfinished, so I was really getting two meals for the price of one, and in truth, virtually all the dine-in, non-fast food alternatives in the area are similarly priced, with nowhere near the ambience and elegance. I plan to be a regular at ELISE CUISINE from here on out.“

“It's a nice place, but if I drop into a neighborhood (or any) coffee shop on a Sat a.m. I expect a Sat a.m. "coffee atmosphere" - quiet, laid-back. Suddenly in comes a bunch of pre-teens, cackling and shouting. Too many parents make the mistake of assuming that we all want to see and hear their kids: teach them to recognize and respect quiet. Otherwise, as I said, a nice and convenient spot with a good selection for coffee and low-dB conversation.“

“Olla Express is a hidden utopia in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city. This is my favorite place in all of Texas. The atmosphere is beautiful and mellow, warm and welcoming. The drinks are a wonderful take on Mexican classics. My favorite is the Olla Socorro. It is a blend of strong coffee, spices, and rich Mexican chocolate. It is decadent and warms your soul. The owner Andrea, has created a place that makes you want to come back everyday. Her and her staff are great and make you feel genuinely welcomed. She also has a wonderful playlist going in the background. Give Olla Express a chance. You will not regret it.“

“This standalone cafe is drive through only. The person taking our order and making the drinks was very personable, very friendly and very knowledgeable about the different coffees. I had a special drink that had honey in it and it was great. I will come back here whenever I’m visiting family again.“

“This place is a tall-ceiling coffee shop vibe. It is in a business tower but it doesn’t feel that way at all. Somehow they’ve made it cozy and inviting inside a giant corporate tower. The coffee is strong, well-sourced, and delicious. The food is all good, especially the sandwiches. They will accommodate any special requests and make sure to go the extra mile to be there for the customer.

This place is not cheap, likely because they pay rent in one of the nicest buildings in the city, but they go the extra mile in quality and service, and for that they are worth every penny. Highly recommend this place for coffee, a quick snack or sandwich, and even some vintage finds in their little clothing shop in the back.

I asked about my plate cause I knew they were busy and didn't want to be impatient. when I asked cashier about my plate, turns out she never even charged my order. so they just looked at me like a deer in head lights and apologized they didn't know how to compensate. They were too busy to do my order so just compt my tip. i left hungry and bummed out so maybe it'll be to iron out unsatisfied customers after mishap so they're not leaving a Lil negative remarks.“

“The Capital One Café at La Cantera is always my go-to spot, whether I’m working or just taking a break. Today, I ordered the breakfast club with bacon on a brioche bun, along with a power yogurt bowl and a cappuccino, and everything was absolutely delicious. The food was fresh, flavorful, and served in a timely manner. The atmosphere is perfect for getting work done or relaxing, and the baristas are incredibly friendly and welcoming. It’s always a pleasure to stop by!“

“The Jewel cafe and bar is just as it's name states, " A Jewel in San Antonio". My husband, 23 year old daughter and I visited this establishment Saturday morning. The new owners are more than friendly and welcoming. They educated my family on the history of the business and when it was a home. They elaborated on their menu and services. The property and fractions of it can be reserved for private parties and events. I ordered the cappuccino with almond milk and hazelnut syrup. Amazing! I can change this up several ways, which is my intention in the future. My husband ordered a peach mango tea. Hot. He loved it, also. My daughter ordered a Latte with almond milk and hazelnut syrup. She agrees this is the best coffee drink she has had and the luxurious but comfortable and casual home atmosphere made it 100% better. My husband also ordered a cinnamon roll. One of the many pastry options available. There are many areas to sit inside or outside, to enjoy the treats. Something good to know, behind the establishment is their private parking lot. This makes it easy to park safely and not worry about crowded curb parking. I highly recommend the Jewel to all folks looking for a coffee, breakfast house to enjoy quality time with family and friends. I do know they are open in the evenings also, offering a full bar alongside coffee, to those who love to unwind with a cocktail. The owners told me of so many plans to serve their community, in this coming year, that I cannot remember it all. I, for sure, will be coming back with new folks to give everyone I know an experience worth having.“

“I've been to MANY Dutch Bros locations, and this one by far has the best team. The vibes are immaculate. They know my order and most mornings that "little" gesture of remembering is beyond appreciated. They care about their clientele and will always go the extra mile to make sure their day starts off, or is going well. They even take the time to draw whatever my 7 year old can think up on the cup on the weekends we stop in. Thanks, Dutch, for being part of my everyday morning routine.“

The coffee always hits the spot and whoever came up with the coffee pouches ia brilliant. Veen dipping coffee groumds for a couple of decades now. Love taking a pouch between my lip and gum, and I can get stuff done around the office like a champ. No spitting and getting my coffee fix at the same time without having to battle others around the coffeemaker is a new high light of my day as other walk up to an empty pot, lol.“
