“ELISE CUISINE is the manifestation of owner Rocio’s ten-year dream, and her dedication and commitment to her dream is evident down to the smallest details. The dining space is simple, but quite lovely, and the atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. Service was excellent and perfectly balanced in attentiveness. With hours of 7 AM to 4 PM, this is a breakfast and lunch place, with a varied and adventurous menu that caters to meat-eaters, vegetarians, vegans, and diners in need of gluten-free alternatives. On my first visit, I had the excellent spicy fried chicken sandwich, with sides of home fries and a wonderful arugula salad with cherry tomatoes, quinoa, and a balsamic vinaigrette perfectly blended between sweet and acidic. I look forward to returning again and sampling the extensive breakfast menu. Plenty of beverages are available, and there is a stately espresso machine that speaks to a restaurant that means business when it comes to coffee. This area of Potranco has been in dire need of a sit-down coffee house alternative to Starbucks, and ELISE CUISINE is it. I’ll admit that I was initially a bit cowed by the menu prices, but the portions are very generous; I left with half my meal unfinished, so I was really getting two meals for the price of one, and in truth, virtually all the dine-in, non-fast food alternatives in the area are similarly priced, with nowhere near the ambience and elegance. I plan to be a regular at ELISE CUISINE from here on out.“

“Olla Express is a hidden utopia in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city. This is my favorite place in all of Texas. The atmosphere is beautiful and mellow, warm and welcoming. The drinks are a wonderful take on Mexican classics. My favorite is the Olla Socorro. It is a blend of strong coffee, spices, and rich Mexican chocolate. It is decadent and warms your soul. The owner Andrea, has created a place that makes you want to come back everyday. Her and her staff are great and make you feel genuinely welcomed. She also has a wonderful playlist going in the background. Give Olla Express a chance. You will not regret it.“

“My favorite coffee shop in San Antonio by far! One visit had me hooked already. The staff are so down-to-earth & have a great sense of humor; the atmosphere brings you a sense of serenity as much as the coffee perks you up! Lol. "Bright coffee" is a good name to fit the well-sunlit place (super important for me personally) & the bright coffee flavors (I had the banana latte ?). Carrot pecan bread was also the perfect rich/sweet/nutty balance :) so excited to come back!!

“I’ve been coming here for a few years now and they have never gotten an order wrong. They have THE BEST coffee!! My family and I love the Maribel, Charlie Brown, and any of their matcha lattes. They also have decaf espresso, which is a must for us. The quality and vibes are impeccable! The espresso has a lot of body and the machine is always dialed in correctly. I also love that I can order ahead of time and pick up on the way to work.

They know my order and most mornings that "little" gesture of remembering is beyond appreciated. They care about their clientele and will always go the extra mile to make sure their day starts off, or is going well.
