“It's a nice place, but if I drop into a neighborhood (or any) coffee shop on a Sat a.m. I expect a Sat a.m. "coffee atmosphere" - quiet, laid-back. Suddenly in comes a bunch of pre-teens, cackling and shouting. Too many parents make the mistake of assuming that we all want to see and hear their kids: teach them to recognize and respect quiet. Otherwise, as I said, a nice and convenient spot with a good selection for coffee and low-dB conversation.“

“If you want the best specialty coffee shop in town this is it. Their personalized service is top notch as you will talk to baristas who love what they do.

As a home barista and coffee lover who has 2 grinders, 3 pour over devices, and an espresso machine this is what I’ve alway wanted in San Antonio. Best place in the city to know what coffee can really taste like. They source and roast their own coffee. You won’t taste anything like this in town.

“Oh my goshhhhhhhhh. these ladies were lovely. We went to check out the place before we scheduled a meet up with friends. They were busy. Wicked polite and as we were waiting, they kept up with wait times, alternative seating and the reality of sitting on the patio....TOO HOT for this northerner transplanted in Texas. Our waitress was super sweet and went out of her way when we asked if there was a way we could try some pastries. The 2 of us could not do a full tier platter because of the portion sizes, but golly!!!!!! Did they make our day with letting us have a few that are usually for afternoon tea exclusively. We will be back with another friend couple to experience the full afternoon tea!!! You really know how to make people feel welcome.“

“Loved Poppy’s so much. Became my favorite coffee shop in SA from the moment I moved there. Made sure to come almost every weekend to snag a 10/10 latte. Truly addicted. Great atmosphere, sweet staff, cute snoopy memorabilia, amazing menu. I never had a bad coffee from Poppy. Been missing it ever since moving out of SA. Will definitely come again as soon as I’m in town!! It’s a must visit.“

“I stopped by today for coffee before work. The “pillow talk” got my attention.. coconut water, horchata, cinnamon and espresso. Perfect way to start the day. Not too sweet and just right. The staff was friendly and I didn’t have to wait long for my drink. I wish I could have stayed because it was definitely a vibe in there. Next time for sure. “Flower in Flour is cozy, welcoming, and enchanting.... and that's just the decor. The coffee has never disappointed. I especially like the themed Texas Star drink. Whenever friends and family come into town to visit I introduce them to Flower in Flour. This place is the perfect place to go with friends for a coffee and chatting, crafting, or even reading. Don't get me started on their events. I did a silent book club event there last month and it was positively divine.“
