Instead of telling us to come back in a few minutes, they did the polite thing (which is unheard of in today’s society) they told us we are not quite open yet, but we can seat you. They told us it maybe a few minutes for us to get to you. This is totally understandable. Even if they told us to come back we would have understood. But very refreshing for a business and its employees to treat customers like they are more than an inconvenience. The waiter we had was amazing. Very attentive!!! The food was great! After knocking out a few errands in Beaumont, I figured I deserved a little treat — I reached out to a handful of friends, but everyone was busy. So once again, I ended up dining solo… something that seems to be happening more often lately (probably means a little self-reflection is in order). But here’s the truth: it still turned into a pretty solid evening. I slid into a seat at J. Wilson’s, started with a Godfather cocktail — smooth, cold, and precisely what the moment called for. Followed it up with a great ribeye steak dinner and capped it off right with crème brûlée and strawberries (along with a second cocktail). Not a bad way to close out a long Saturday. Sure, having a beautiful woman sitting across from me would’ve been the icing on the cake… but you take the wins where you find them. And tonight, the win might just be ending the night with a good cigar and a quiet moment to breathe. J Wilson’s for the win. Service was great — as usual; and the meal was perfect. Not a bad Saturday at all.”

My meal always includes their wonderful crab bisque and I usually have a fish steak- Tuna, Sword, etc blackened with the veggie side. They just do this so well. Every meal- and I have had quite a few over the last 12 years of going there, has been awesome! I recommend Floyds to all of my friends that come into TX. via I-10.”

We were recommended Riverside Grill by a close friend for Valentine’s Day so we made a reservation for 8:30pm. It was 8:55pm when we got sat, but the hostess was super sweet and it was obvious they were BUSY.
We ordered 2 appetizers (chicken quesadillas and brisket sliders) and my entree was the North Atlantic Salmon.
My expectations for recommendations are usually low, but from that first bite it became my new favorite place ❤️”

The fettuccine Alfredo was great as well. 10/10 recommend.”

“The Home Builders Association of Southeast Texas hosts an annual crawfish boil, and this year we used Mike at RedTailz to cook for our event, and we have received nothing but fantastic feedback on the crawfish! Not only was the flavor spot on, Mike showed up and got to work cooking 800 lbs of crawfish. He handled our large crowd perfectly and provided some great crawfish and great service. He did an outstanding job and will use him again!”

I will say hands-down every time I go in there I’m always graded right away by everybody you know and you can tell when you walk into this place. They really take pride in what they do. They take pride in their food and the way they present it to the customers, and they take pride in their customers and make sure that everything is just the way they asked for it to be. Their food is cooked to perfection. The employees are very nice. They have an excellent management team there as well as owner and I highly recommend the place to anybody. I think by far they are the best in the state of Texas and anywhere around this world you will not find a better place than here. I can guarantee you that. When you walk in here and you order your meal and you eat it, I’m gonna guarantee you. You will walk out completely full and you’ll wanna come back again and again and again so if you have not been here or say you’re just visiting the area I highly recommend walking in because you will not be disappointed”

“Visited at around 5 on a Friday evening. Plenty of seating available, atmosphere was quiet and enjoyable. Appetizers were the stuffed mushrooms and onion petals. For the main course my wife ordered the bone in ribeye with a loaded bake potato and a side salad. My meal was the T bone with rice pilaf and a side of steamed broccoli. My wife asked for medium rare and received a medium rare steak. Seasoning was on point with a nice flame sear. The T bone was ordered rare and received as such. Again the seasoning and sear were perfect. We ordered a mixed drink for her (strawberry margarita) and I had a Mai Tai. Our server was courteous, considerate, and attentive. At no time did we feel pressured to rush a decision and periodically check to verify everything was satisfactory. For the quality of the food, prices were fairly set. The complimentary bread and butter were fantastic. We will definitely eat here again. The only detraction we found was the entry/exit setup. Customers have to exit through the same doors they entered. Exiting past waiting customer entering is a little congested and confusing.”

We were an indecisive bunch but luckily our waitress was Neshia (sorry if I misspelled her name), and she made the best suggestions. We went with her recommendations, and we had the best meal experience. Neshia is a superstar, bringing us whatever we needed, frequently checking on us, clearing items off our table to be sure we had plenty of tabletop room. If you stop by Crazy Cajun, ask to be seated where Neshia is your server. We had the boudain ball appetizer, the crawfish specials and ice cold beer. The crawfish was seasoned perfectly--just spicy enough. They were very fresh, juicy and easy to peel. It was a chilly day but we picked a table on the patio and were toasty warm due to heaters and lovely fire pit features. This is the place to go in Southeast Texas to have a great dining experience with friends and family. I hope you're lucky enough to have Neshia working your table.”

“We celebrated my mother, Michiko Haimoto Guyote’s 90th birthday at Tokyo Japanese Steak House & Sushi Bar at 1970 IH-10 in Beaumont. A room with two hibachi tables was available for our party of 17. Despite the large group and the various orders of teppanyaki and sushi, everything was absolutely and beautifully presented and served without delay. The chefs were entertaining and prepared the hot dishes just as ordered! And the sushi was beautifully prepared, fresh and delicious! It truly made my mother’s birthday a very memorable occasion! We highly recommend Tokyo Japanese Steak House and Sushi for a unique and delicious experience!”

I will say hands-down every time I go in there I’m always graded right away by everybody you know and you can tell when you walk into this place. They really take pride in what they do. They take pride in their food and the way they present it to the customers, and they take pride in their customers and make sure that everything is just the way they asked for it to be. Their food is cooked to perfection. The employees are very nice. They have an excellent management team there as well as owner and I highly recommend the place to anybody. I think by far they are the best in the state of Texas and anywhere around this world you will not find a better place than here. I can guarantee you that. After knocking out a few errands in Beaumont, I figured I deserved a little treat — I reached out to a handful of friends, but everyone was busy. So once again, I ended up dining solo… something that seems to be happening more often lately (probably means a little self-reflection is in order). But here’s the truth: it still turned into a pretty solid evening. I slid into a seat at J. Wilson’s, started with a Godfather cocktail — smooth, cold, and precisely what the moment called for. Followed it up with a great ribeye steak dinner and capped it off right with crème brûlée and strawberries (along with a second cocktail). Not a bad way to close out a long Saturday. Sure, having a beautiful woman sitting across from me would’ve been the icing on the cake… but you take the wins where you find them. And tonight, the win might just be ending the night with a good cigar and a quiet moment to breathe. J Wilson’s for the win. Service was great — as usual; and the meal was perfect. Not a bad Saturday at all.”

• Southwestern Eggrolls: Crispy flour tortillas filled with chicken, black beans, corn, jalapeño Jack cheese, red peppers, and spinach. Served with avocado-ranch—absolutely delicious and packed with flavor.
And:
• Classic Nachos with Chicken: Generous portion with chicken, shredded cheese, black beans, jalapeños, and skillet queso with beef. Served with pico and sour cream, it was hearty and satisfying.”
