“Honestly kind of shocked the reviews aren't 4.9, this is my favorite bakery in Austin. French style pastries, super high quality, flavorful, divine, and the perfect amount of sweetness. I've had the lemon merengue tarte which was DIVINE- best merengue I've ever had. I've had the raspberry tarte twice which is so fresh, the cream/ custard (?) tastes like real vanilla bean just delicious, raspberries somehow always perfect, and the crust/base just as good as everything else. And lastly, the eclairs-- I love the classic chocolate eclair with the custard filling. I tried the chocolate filling one as well recently, and was surprised how delicious. The ratios are perfect, pastries are fresh, and made with love and respect for the craft! Sweet staff who seem happy to be there, though I wish you could tip (apparently they pay higher wages though, so, good for them.) Great drinks, too- I've had the lavender latte and chai tea! Atmosphere is cozy and unpretentious which is a bonus for me. Hidden gem in Bee Cave, I will be back! Highly recommend especially if you're a pastry lover“

“Florentine Crepe is SO flavorful! Even my 9-month son kept coming back for more. It comes with a side salad that has a light, sweet honey mustard vinaigrette. The hot Matcha Latte was amazing! I got the Almondine crepe added a drizzle of Nutella to-go can’t wait to try it!
There a few parking spots up front by the building that are designated for the restaurant. They also have a free parking garage in the same lot for overflow.
Accessibility- the front doors are not automatic/sliding; there was no button to assist open. There may have been another door I’m unaware of. Once inside the halls are very wide for wheelchair and appears easy to maneuver around the tables. Bathrooms are wide as well.
Lots of tables that could be pushed together for large groups.“

“Visited on a Sunday morning and had a great experience. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I tried the egg croissant and the chicken ciabatta — both were fresh and tasty. The place has plenty of space for dine-in, making it a comfortable spot to relax and enjoy your food.“

“My wife and I had a wonderful lunch experience here on a relaxing Friday afternoon. The burgers were fantastic, the potato salad and tomato soup excellent, and the iced tea refreshing. They have really nice outside seating that is shaded, coupled with a very nice indoor space. If you are in River Place or nearby, this place is a great lunch option. Their prices cannot be beat, and the lady who took our order and made our food was very helpful and kind.“

“I got an iced toasted coconut latte here yesterday afternoon and it was beyond delicious. Right amount of sweetness and tasted like real coconut. Easy to find parking and when we went there was no line. Barista was very friendly and helped grind the coffee beans we purchased. My fiancée is picky with coffee and he agreed they make amazing coffee here. We’re looking to buy a home in the area and hope to be frequent customers here!“

“I like Galaxy Cafe. I have food sensitivities, so being able to find delicious, nutritious, gluten-free food is a godsend. And, my friends who aren’t as health conscious can find things they like, too. 😊 Prices are reasonable. I just have one question: can someone tell me why the location on Mesa is so dang dark lately? It’s depressing and I can’t see my colorful plate. Part of my enjoyment is seeing a colorful plate, but if I can’t see it… I have never noticed this being the case at West Lynn or Brodie.“

It’s thoughtfully tucked into an apartment complex, so you might miss it if you’re just driving by, but once you find it, you realize how special it is and why you see so many regulars in here. There’s an old-school Austin spirit, but it still feels completely modern and elevated in quality and taste.

I love sitting at the bar and writing. Everyone who works here is really cool and thoughtful, and the owners are truly good people. It kinda has a modern Cheers energy with creatives, business people, and apartment locals all crossing paths and talking to each other.

At night, the vibe shifts into a romantic spot for dinner and natural wine. It’s hard to find places that do all of this so well, especially in South Austin so I feel really lucky to have this spot in the neighborhood.“

“Carmelas has got to be the longest lasting good restaurant for Drippin folks along with Thyme and Dough. Consistently great food and service. It goes unnoticed I think because of its location on a small strip of spaces shared with a gas station/convenience store. Family owned. At the corner of RR12 and Hamilton Pool. We have never been dissapointed with their food, desserts, drinks and wine selection.“
