“My favorite soup by far is their smoked jalapeno soup. It's not really spicy but it's kind of addictive. The dishes were yummy (Parmesan rice is a must order) plated well, atmosphere was not bright, but nice and quiet. We're going to go back for their evenings with live music.“

“Had a great lunch! The hostesses opened the doors for us as we walked in and we were seated within a couple minutes, despite having a large party. All of our orders came out correct and they were all really delicious! Our waitress Alyssa was amazing and took really great care of us. The manager, Adam, also stopped by to make sure everything was going well. It was a wonderful dining experience, will definitely be back!“

The other day we went to Captain D's in Burleson.

I hadn't been to one in years and so was curious how good it would be.

We were a Long John Silvers family growing up so I always have memories of those meals

Well Captain D's has done it well and made me feel like I was at LJS but it was BETTER!

First off Perla at the counter was tremendous!

She definitely knows how to run the restaurant

We tried a little bit of everything

The fish was fried perfectly

The hush puppies were crunchy but moist on the inside

The fries were excellent

The fries pickles were lightly breaded and sour pickles

The butterfly shrimp had the perfect crunch

The mozzarella sticks were flavorful and not over chewy

Overall the oil seemed very new as everything had a light color to it

What I was also very impressed with was how clean the restaurant is for the age

Also how great they maintained it after being there for awhile

I'll definitely be back now that I know it leap frogs the ol LJS!

“I went to Southwest high school just up the road from 2016 till 2020 and it was the go to spot for lunch , for those who didn’t have a car they walked for the first two years of high school and then we started driving there for lunch. It’s a small spot so it’s usually empty inside because people get their food to go, but the people were very kind during high school school and they knew me for getting lemon juice and ranch with my fried rice and then they got new owners and they are still just as nice and the food is just as great I personally love the 12 large fried shrimp with fries so good and fresh every time as well as the spicy chicken fried rice or any variation of the fried rice, 10/10 I haven’t tried the fish, but I heard it’s really good“

“There was a small line not too too busy. The ceiling was leaking from the vents that was scary. Hazardous and extremely dangerous with it without a wet floor sign. Our food was delicious and I am Glad I came back to Killeen I only wish another captain d’s would come back our way! Missing a piece of home. “Anna was our waitress and is AMAZING!! The food is always hot and huge portions we have been there twice in the last two weeks to celebrate birthdays. It is such a great place to go to because you can actually sit and talk and visit. The restaurant is kid friendly with a small little game room with close circuit TV so you can keep an eye on the kiddos The bathroom is so clean it’s mom approved!! Love this place“

“The Daily Special is a hidden gem!! Our server, Shanda, was amazing! She was helpful, cheerful, and kind to everyone there. The food was spectacular! My husband got the meatloaf special (on Mondays) and I got the chicken fried chicken. It was tender and seasoned just right. We didn’t get dessert but someone at another table liked the pie so much, he got a second piece :-) We may have to go back later for dessert!“

This store would probably double its customers and double its profits if they cleaned everything spotless. When the door to the store is so grimy that you don’t even wanna touch it, it’s kind of a turn off to a LOT of people. Manager…make sure your floors, doors, windows, stainless steel and bathrooms are cleaned spotless every single day before you open or after you close. Use vinegar in your mop water to elimate sticky floors.“

“Been in a few times and I'm more than happy to drive out of the way to enjoy this amazing Gem. There's such a calm and yet great vibe while inside, whether you're dining in or just in long enough to grab your order to go.
The staff seems to be smiling and very welcoming and happy to see you no matter how busy or slow things are inside. Makes you feel good before you even get a chance to eat.
Food portions to price seem a bit small, but the taste is amazing and it's cooked to perfection. You'll be full before you even know it and you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Lunch options are obviously a bit smaller, but perfect.
Good parking out front, but can fill up quickly on them busy weekends, during the lunch rush, but great for families or a date night. The inside is always very clean and great, but maybe just a tad tight when full. Just can't say enough good stuff about this location.“

“I visit Joe's atleast once a month since it's close to work and convconvenient. I always get a chicken Cesar salad or a slice of pepperoni pizza.

The service is always quick and the staff is nice. Everyone greets you when you approach the counter.

The atoatoatmosphere is very laid back and comforting. It reminds me of visiting grandma, warm and welcoming.“

“I was hesitant at first since I had a bad experience at a Lisa’s a couple years ago, but this Lisa’s is like no other. Chicken was just what you’d expect but their extra sides are where it’s at!! Pizza pocket, corn nugs, and corn dogs were crazy good! Also get Gravy snd mashed potato’s and it makes everything 1000x better. Will be adding this to the regular spots to come back to.“

“The food was kinda mild. Like I had to add salt and they gave me yellow lemons.? I need the green ones for the tacos. The bababacoa tacos were better then most in the area and the tortilla double up is nice. The hot sauce was good but not very spicy. Over all it was ok for the price. Oh but I did have to pay $4 FOR TWO CAN COKES.“
