“I happened to be in town and visited this location. Located conveniently right off the freeway. Food was really great; I ordered a Birria torta. Service was friendly and food prepared fast. Portion sizes were generous and filling, and food tasted great! I'm not from the area, but I would definitely come back next opportunity.“

“This was hands down some of the best tacos I’ve had in awhile. They were courteous and made it all to order. All the food was hot and fresh and they brought the food to my car. Next time you go make sure and try the Quesabirra tacos. I ended up going two days in a row. Don’t take my word for it check it out yourself. The food truck was clean and well maintained so that was an extra plus.“

“Great food truck. Ordered an asada quesadilla and tacos de cabeza, pastor and asada. Tacos were great. The quesadilla was stuffed with meat BUT imo it needed to be a bit crispier (it was like a big asada taco with cheese). I decided to save it for when I got home so I could reheat it with a bit of butter. The red sauce was spicy . We had two aguas de Jamaica which were huge, but a bit too sweet. I bought an ice cup at Buc-ee's and that mellowed out the taste. The price was good for the amount of food. The service was friendly.“

“Went here for the first time last night and it was good. We got there about 4pm and were the only ones in the restaurant. The clerk was very nice and took the time to explain all the items on the menu(I asked her too). She told us it was a family run business and they made all the items in house. We got the Monster Quesadilla(chicken) and the 5 street tacos(asada). I ordered a Mexican coke but it was not what I expected. It was from Mexico but was made with regular sugar instead of the cane sugar I expected. The quesadilla came on a lightly fried flour tortilla. It was loaded with chicken and cheese; it was a little greasy but that helped make it to taste very good. I ate it all and was filled up. The street tacos were double wrapped corn with a good amount of chopped steak with chopped white onions and cilantro available. There was not any sauce or cheese on them but there was a bottle of mild and of hot salsa available. I joined their loyalty program and got enough points for a free side; I will build them up until I get a free entree. The restaurant was clean and had Latino music playing on speakers. The taste and quantity of the food was great. This place was good and I'll be back“

“Yummy, we have stopped there a couple times and my favorites are the warm cream filled donuts. The colaches are wrapped in flaky, heavenly breading. Definitely not something you can eat everyday, otherwise y'all will be 400+ lbs haha. Very sweet and delicious, served warm!“

“This place might not have ample indoor seating, but it does have a welcoming owner with a million-dollar heart. Mr. Chris will ask for your name to ensure he remembers you the next time you stop by, and trust me. Once you have tried his tamales, tacos, or burritos, you will return for more. I stopped by this past weekend; the weather was great. I enjoyed sitting out to eat a tasty breakfast burrito for only $4.95. San Antonio Tamales is an excellent hole-on-the-wall kind of place. It might not be highly recognized, but the service and the food are fantastic, and we must give it the review it deserves. Eat local, eat fresh cooked food, and support small business owners in our community! If you go visit Mr. Chris at San Antonio Tamales in Converse, let him know that Abrahan recommended you to stop by. Enjoy!“
