From the moment we walked in, the cozy ambiance and attentive staff made us feel right at home. The star of the evening was, without a doubt, the steak. “Great location with friendly staff. We ordered the calamari (seasoned well with a nice crunch) combo with fish and shrimp (fish was flavorful and crispy but the shrimp had a “fishy taste”. Also didn’t realize until we left that my hush puppies were missing) The Caddo (very flavorful! If you don’t like things saucy this isn’t the dish for you).

There are many locations so we will definitely be checking them out again.“

“I have to start by saying that the service is wonderful. Everyone in the back was killing it and everyone in our group enjoyed every bite of all the burgers and stuff that we ordered (even if we couldn't finish.) As the new Fleetwood Mac, I'm gonna suggest the fried green beans and carrots instead of fries, try the onion rings and the milkshakes. I also caution you about the homemade pickles, you're gonna keep going back for more (perfectly crisp and i think it was 5 flavors)
I also want to single out Lucas for adding to our first timer experience: great energy and went above and beyond, he's also good at taking group photos- Thank you Lucas and Twisted Root for a fun experience!“

“I’m glad that I finally went and tried this restaurant. I have now been there three times. Dine in once and take out twice.

I’ve tried pho, banh mi and a noodle dish there. I thought the egg rolls were very good. Among the best I’ve had in a while. I thought the prices were reasonable and portion size was perhaps slightly below other Vietnamese restaurants I’ve been to.

Each time I had to wait a little bit for my food. Small business so I suspect they just have one or two people working in the back so just be prepared to wait a couple mins.

Will continue to go back and would like to try a few other menu items.“

“My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed brunch today to celebrate Valentine’s Day. My husband had the Texan Omelette and a biscuit on the side and I had the Southern Benny. Both dishes were outstanding. I had the jalapeño grits with my meal and they were really delicious. This was our first time to come to J. Macklin’s for brunch and I look forward to our next visit. Our server was Cameron. He knew everything we asked about the dishes, he was friendly and very attentive. We will be asking for Cameron on our next visit. Great job Cameron and J. Macklin’s!“

“We loved the wine tasting experience here at Landon Winery, Cypress water’s location! Patty Barlow gave us an incredible experience of wine tasting, it’s memorable!!! She takes time to understand what we love, and gave suggestions on some of the best wines to taste. We tried a variety of wines- red, white, dessert and special editions! Every single choice is fantastic! Chris Mayhan is a lovely person and gave us a wonderful experience! We are coming back and got some bottles to take home as well! Btw, another last thing about this place is to try as a couple hands on lessons in the art of blending wine! Fun and fun! Highly recommend this place!“

“Loved the lamb skewer plate with grilled veggies (slight upcharge to sub for rice and my favorite part of the meal). My husband loved the chicken soup and falafel (very light and fluffy). Also tried the fried feta sticks and honey feta dip. You can definitely tell the dolmades are homemade. This was our first visit and we will definitely return.“

I’m not a frequent going as this is my second time in ten years? But if it’s this quality, I’ll definitely come back. Esp for the $5.99 Monday and Tuesday deal. What a steal. Try ordering the spinach flatbread and thank me later.

“Catered food from Arunachala restaurant for pooja at our house. Ordered sambar vada, Pongal, idli, poori ,channa masala and pineapple kesari. All the menu items were excellent and everyone who came for the pooja enjoyed the food. Food was perfect with the right amount of spice.This is the best catering experience I have had in Dallas. Would highly recommend this place for catering your future events.“

“I don’t go to chicken express often but when I do, this location has always been great. Just left the drive thru a few minutes ago and finished some food- chicken and fish fillets. The person taking orders at drive thru was very patient when I didn’t know what I wanted just yet. Then the person that handed me my food was also very nice. This was about 5:30 on 6/13. Chicken and fish were cooked perfectly, crispy outside and moist inside. Fries also perfectly crispy. Everything tasted fresh. Highly recommend if you like Chicken express.“

“The food was DELICIOUS! We travel a lot and this is the best Indian Food buffet we've been to! it's difficult to choose my favorite dish because it was all amazing. The only thing that was questionable is they use paper plates for the buffet and we didn't have a table "server/waiter" but the food was so good it made up for it! After tasting several things from the buffet on my plate I completely got over the paper plates and was glad we decided to eat here. I highly recommend this restaurant.“
