“We visited Verf's on 9/19/25 and Jose F was our waiter. The food was wonderful, and our waiter Jose did an excellent job checking on us but not becoming annoying by constantly asking if we needed anything. We sat near the bar which was a tad noisy, but the booth we were seated in was uncomfortable and better suited for larger people b/c the table is too far away from the seats. And our table had an uneven wood surface as we cut into our food. Lastly, the $2.50 discount for Police/Fire/Vets should be a little more ... say 15%. Otherwise, it was an outstanding dining experience.“

“Istanbul Cuisine is a delightful gem for anyone craving authentic Turkish and Mediterranean flavors. The cozy atmosphere creates a welcoming atmosphere. The menu offers a variety of dishes. The Baba Ghanoush is fantastic. Service at Istanbul Cuisine is exceptional, with a staff that are friendly and attentive, enhances the overall dining experience. “First time today. Ordered Tikka Masala bowl for her and Tikka burrito for me. Also Paneer fries and a couple Naans. Everything tastes good, but Naan is dry. Spice level is about 3 and we are usually 1 or zero, so be aware. Can we request less spicy?“

“Went Firstwatch and after having a bad experience at my doctors visit my son and I wanted breakfast. We were seated right away and a young lady by the name of Iris took care of us. “First time trying this location. Gannon was our server tonight and gave us some amazing service. Super friendly and polite, very engaging and gave us great recommendations. We ordered raw oysters, 2 kinds, gumbo, clam chowder, coconut shrimp and crab dip. All came out perfect temperatures and great flavor. We will definitely be back.“

“MY wife and daughter's, son, son in law's and grandchildren (11) of us had lunch there today. Louis who took our reservation and had our table ready when we walked in was awesome. He took care of us too. The food was excellent, portions large , and service great. Would recommend for any family dining experience or couples who want to try. The prices were reasonable too. Plus it's BYOB. Happy Thanksgiving to all!“

“New to flower mound and was craving Chinese (first trimester!). Ordered wonton soup, hot and sour soup, egg drop soup, and honey walnut shrimp! I’ve now gotten 3 meals out of those 4 things (and I eat a lot) and still have half my shrimp and 2/3 of the hot and sour soup left! Needless to say, I’m not kind of obsessed because everything is SO good so I will definitely be back and maybe let my family sample the deliciousness! And the owner was so sweet to come out and greet me and give me my carry out order!“

“I had such a wonderful experience at The Tavern at Lakeside, and I want to give a very special thank-you to Manager Kevin, along with the amazing staff members and servers Sarah and Reed. Kevin demonstrated truly exceptional leadership throughout my visit. He was professional, attentive, welcoming, and clearly dedicated to making sure guests had a great experience. Great managers make a tremendous difference in the atmosphere of a restaurant, and Kevin’s leadership was evident in the way the team worked together and interacted with guests. Sarah and Reed were absolutely fantastic. They were friendly, attentive, patient, and incredibly personable. They made sure I was well taken care of and consistently checked in to make sure everything was going smoothly. Their genuine kindness and positive attitudes made the experience feel special rather than simply being another restaurant visit. What stood out to me most was the teamwork and level of care. Everyone worked together so well, and it was clear that providing excellent service was important to the entire team. Sarah and Reed both went above and beyond to make the experience enjoyable, while Kevin provided the kind of leadership that helps create such a welcoming environment. The Tavern at Lakeside already has a great atmosphere, but outstanding employees like Kevin, Sarah, and Reed are what make customers want to come back.
