“🍳 Sunday Brunch Review – J. Macklin’s (Coppell, TX) 🍳 My wife and I stopped in for Sunday brunch at J. Macklin’s and overall had a great experience! The atmosphere was lively but comfortable, perfect for a weekend meal. We did have an extended wait (they were out of biscuits 😅), but I have to give major credit to the management and wait staff. They handled it extremely well and even offered a discount for the inconvenience. Truly phenomenal service, they turned the situation around and made us feel taken care of. We tried the Bacon Board, which has a fun concept but could use a little more creativity. Just maple syrup on bacon didn’t quite hit the mark, but with a little flair this could easily be their signature appetizer. Now the entrées were exceptional. ✔️ My wife’s Southern Benny was flavorful and perfectly executed. ✔️ I had the grilled cheese with a hearty tomato soup and fries and let me just say, those fries were some of the best I’ve had in a long time. Bottom line: 🔹 Great vibe, 🔹 excellent main dishes, 🔹 and top-tier service. We’ll definitely be coming back!“

“The toppings need to more evenly distributed. This is my 3rd time ordering, and each time the toppings are “clumped” and not evenly distributed. I always order The KING. This is an educational issue and application of ingredients for an even distribution must be employed. Thanks“

“I’ve been coming here for about 4 years, even through their renovation, and the food has consistently been great. The quality is always reliable, the pho is comforting and flavorful, and it’s one of those places I keep coming back to because I know the food will be good.

The service can be a little slow at times, but the food has always been worth it. Overall, this is a solid spot with consistently good food!“

I'm giving it 5 starts, the only downside id state, would be the price of the food, which, it's a good burger, it's just a little expensive, and there isn't many other staff when I went with a pal of mine. Not many were needed, though, so 5 stars!“

“Ummm. This is a tricky one. I know what some of the other low reviews are talking about pertaining to service but the young dudes were working tonight and everything was PERFECT. Young man at the window was friendly and polite. Food took a few minutes (good! They are making it for you) and was fantastic. I have had some weird workers not nail the customer service here but I’ll put it like this:
On average the food is 8.9/10 for fast food.
The prices are reasonable as hell. I can get 2 perfect fish fillets, 6 pounds of fries and THE BEST HUSHPUPPIES in the lower 48 for under $11.
I’ve never lived in a state with Chicken Express so I’ve only been to this Coppell one (several times) and the Euless one a couple times. They are both waaaaay above average for quick food.
Service is wonderful if you get the good crew.
Overall, when food, price and service are way above average, they deserve a visit.
This Chicken Express is like a Cottonwood Cafe level food for half the price. I highly recommend trying this location a few times before passing it up. I shutter at the thought of Chipotle and Panda Express being our “premium” fast food and only having McDonalds and Whataburger for the “cheap stuff.”
This place is 4x better than McDonald’s for literally the same price. Give them a try. A real restaurant quality food, pretty quick, pretty good price.
