The speed and accuracy was on point, my strak was cooked perfectly and was flavored wonderfully. The atmosphere is very enjoyable and to top it all off, someone overheard us saying it was our first time here and surprised us with free Blackberry cobbler! Our waiter Tony was by far the best waiter as well. He kept making sure we were doing ok, needed anything, kept our drinks full and was so personable. “My quandary: give Hannah’s the rave review it deserves and risk not being able to get a table on a Saturday night or just pretend we never made it to dinner? Looking for a new restaurant to celebrate our anniversary, my wife made a reservation at this gem in Denton and we were not disappointed. Our table was laid out with rose petals to celebrate the occasion and the staff wished us a Happy Anniversary. The menu had a multitude of items that sounded mouth-watering, so the decision making process was tortuous. We settled on bacon wrapped dates and steamed mussels as appetizers. The dates were moist and the bacon crispy, a perfect bite of sweet and salty. The mussels were perfectly steamed with a delicious broth and the perfect crispy, warm French bread to sop it up. A great start. My wife ordered Beef Cheek stuffed Ravioli, remembering how much she loved the beef cheeks we first ate in Spain. Ground meat in the ravioli topped with a perfect ragu of tomatoes, beef cheek, and vegetables. I am drawn to duck whenever I see it on the menu and the Rosemary smoked Duck Breast was cooked to perfection; crispy skin, juicy meat, and a sun dried cherry pico tart enough to complement its maple syrup glaze. The sliced duck breast was served atop a wild rice and vegetable pancake that was unique and perhaps the star of the dish. Come on, who wouldn’t love pancakes for dinner? A couple glasses of wine with dinner, a slice of award winning carrot cake for desert with an espresso, and exquisite service all evening long made for an ideal anniversary celebration. Thank you to the kitchen staff and everyone in the front of the house and remember to save us a table on Saturday nights. See you soon.“

“visited The Greenhouse in Denton, Texas, on Friday, July 25th, and really enjoyed the experience. The interior has a great casual dining vibe that’s perfect for conversation — relaxed but refined enough to feel like a treat.

Our waitress struck the perfect balance of attentiveness: available when needed but never intrusive. She gave us excellent recommendations when we were torn on what to order.

Pictured are two of our entrées:

Honey Chipotle Salmon – This was the table favorite. The salmon was glazed with a rich honey chipotle sauce and served alongside jack cheese mashed potatoes and broccolini. The dish was clean, flavorful, and well balanced — the richness of the potatoes was offset beautifully by the glaze. I could honestly put that glaze on anything. 😂

Stuffed Chicken – Filled with poblano pesto and jack cheese, this chicken dish was topped with a creamy poblano pesto sauce and served over the same jack cheese mashed potatoes. While tasty, it felt like it was missing something — maybe a pop of acidity or a marinade to liven up the chicken. Still enjoyable, just not quite as memorable as the salmon.

Overall, we had a fantastic dinner. The wine was great, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was perfect for a quiet Friday night out. I’m sure we’ll be back sooner rather than later.“

“I went to the Cotton Patch Café with my husband tonight and had a really good experience.
I got the chicken fried steak, and it was delicious—crispy, tender, and full of flavor. The mashed potatoes and green beans were great, and the rolls were fresh and warm.
Even though the restaurant was really busy, my server Justina still managed to take care of everything perfectly. She was super nice, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without any delays.
Overall, great food, great service, and a very comfortable atmosphere. We’ll definitely be coming back.“

“Wow! Is there an option for more than 5 stars? The bartender made an absolutely fabulous, one-of-a-kind smoked old fashioned. The steak... I've paid three times the price for a meal with a fraction of the quality of this one. The meat was so tender that my steak knife was purely decorative, and the flavor was out of this world. Au jus or A1 need not apply, this thing was juicy and absolutely perfect. I cannot believe of all the restaurants I've come across in my travels that the Hilton Garden Inn would rank in my top 3, but this was truly fabulous! 12/10! 👏👏“

“This was an unexpected stay after a missed airline connection. We arrived around 2am and checked into a very nice room. We haven’t stayed in a Courtyard as new as this— really nice! We had no luggage and were provided with all we needed, toothpaste/toothbrush, razor/shave cream, comb, brush, hairspray. The beds were comfy for our very brief stay. Towels were fluffy, bathroom very sleek, modern. Taxi called for us when we needed it. These weary travelers are very appreciative!“

I was new to the EWAK process but felt at ease learning how this activity would benefit me in the short and long term. “We LOVE Dix Cafe and is our favorite in the metroplex. We've gone to many brunch spots but the flavors here are amazing and the decor is lovely. The Greek Omellete is our favorite and I am not even an omellete person! The blueberry pancakes have the perfect outer crispness while being soft and fluffy inside. The waffles are also excellent. I've had the eggs benedict and it is also great. The maple butter syrup is to die for! You truly can't go wrong with any of the food here. My only wish is that they had healthier ketchup that doesn't contain high fructose corn syrup but that's what most places have. Go here, you won't regret it!“

“We have four adults and three kids for dinner. The food was delicious, from the artichoke dip and pan seared pork dumplings to the pasta, steak, and salads. The server was very attentive to our needs and ensured our drinks were kept filled and the food came quickly. I travel weekly and in 26 years have never eaten at a hotel restaurant without staying at the hotel, this was my first time and I highly recommend this place.“

I’m reviewing this for their breakfast/brunch

Food: 4.2
A very good brunch/breakfast spot. I ordered an array to really get a feel for the place. The menu is extravagant..took me some time. The flap jack was great. Huge portion, great flavor. Not too dry. Biscuits and sausage gravy were good. Biscuit was soft/thick and gravy was a good consistency. The bacon wasn’t as crispy as I like and was thicker cut, so had a bit of a meaty chew to it. The fried potatoes were delicious and crispy. Honestly probably the best ones I’ve had, most places are soggy. The ham was mid. Not my favorite. I ordered over easy eggs and they were very watery once cut. The whites weren’t done (sigh). Waitress quickly brought me over medium (Which shouldn’t be the doneness of the white. Over easy eggs have a runny yolk, while over medium eggs have a slightly more cooked, jammy yolk). Nonetheless they were better and more so what the over easy should have been. Be advised when ordering them this way. Ramsey does say a true test for a chef is make him cook an egg! French toast was excellent, and the fruit was fresh. Other than the egg debacle, I can see why so many people eat here. Huge portions, large menu to cater to a lot of different people, and the food is well above chain breakfast spots. Not innovative, but good!

Nothing spectacular here to report, but the job was done. She asked how our food was and I gave my feedback on the eggs. She quickly offered to remake them.

I ate here for Tuesday brunch. It was still pretty busy and loud. They have lots of seating (booths as well). It appeared clean. Decor gives me Cracker Barrel vibes. Lots of families, kids, & babies. If this describes you, you’ll fit in just fine! Hard to find places to bring kids/big families, and this is a good breakfast spot with a menu that will appeal to a lot of variety of people. If you’re looking for a romantic brunch spot though this isn’t the place.

Good breakfast/brunch spot for Denton, and can see why so many people eat here. It’s not on my best breakfast spots, but it’s well above mid. Bring your appetite!“

“Snooty Pig is a simple place serving traditional American dishes at their place along Country Club Road in Argyle. They have a good sized indoor seating area with tables spaced out nicely. You'll also find friendly and timely service along good portion size servings that seem to taste really good. Had breakfast here recently, ordered the pancake combo with eggs and bacon. Everything tasted exactly like it was supposed to taste, coffee was hot, good and refilled by our waitress regularly. Very pleased with this breakfast and would likely eat here on a fairly regular basis if I had a place like Snooty Pig Cafe back home.“
