“The best old school Tex Mex in town. Fajitas are so much better than Chuys or Maudie’s. Then there are killer items like shrimp ala mexicana with chipotle and classic lengua. Green enchiladas crush the ones from other places. Margaritas are super tasty and there’s no better staff at this family run place. It’s all very reasonably priced. Can’t recommend it enough.“

If you enjoy margaritas, definitely give theirs a try! They’re strong and enjoyable. The food is always excellent, and that’s one of the main reasons I keep coming back. Overall, I definitely recommend Los Agaves to my family and friends if you’re looking for good food and a nice place to enjoy a meal!“

“SUCH a gem of a location!!! The staff here is wonderful, everyone is super nice and attentive. If you’re in Lexi’s section you’re golden because she’s amazing. One of the managers, Fernando, totally makes the experience. He has an incredible warmth and kindness and makes you feel like a regular immediately. I wish I lived closer but I make the drive just for him. Everything is great but the tres leches cake is a total standout that I return for again and again!“

“Pretty annoyed, second time ive ordered a CHICKEN CHALUPA an upgrade on the garcias deluxe meal and they dont gove me a chicken chalupa, but a bean and cheese TOSTADA. Like thats what i was craving, and i got ripped on my chicken upgrade twice now. I live close by and like the food but this is frustrating, please pay attention, i dont just throw money at eating out just anywhere, and i dont want to feel regret when i do. Mind that the food was still all good its just dissapointing as all hell when you dont get what you were craving and 'splurged' on after work . “I've been a weekly customer now for over five years. Sam always goes out of his way to say a friendly hello to me and ask me how things are going. Really appreciate the high level of customer service here. The store is kept well-stocked and extremely clean. Prices are very reasonable for a neighborhood convenience mart and their food options are VERY good. I would highly recommend shopping here over most of the other local stores.“

“We’ve been longtime Freebirds fans and really want this location to succeed. The staff was friendly, and the manager went out of his way to cut fresh cilantro for us (after 2 other employees went to the back and said they were out), which we appreciated.

That said, our visit had several operational and cleanliness issues that were concerning. Some food on the line looked dried out or old, and there was spilled food left on the counter that wasn’t cleaned between orders.

For example, the employee preparing a burrito for the guest in front of us rolled it, unrolled it, and then gave it a firm smack on the counter, which caused part of the filling to spill out onto the prep surface. The mess that was left was then wrapped anyway. Fortunately, the customer asked for it to be remade and received a fresh one. However, the spilled food remained on the counter and was not wiped down before additional burritos (including ours) were rolled up on that same surface. We were handed foil with gunk all over it!

The tea station was out of order, and we weren’t informed before purchasing a drink. I bought the almost $3 cup for iced tea.

I do want to note that the young woman assisting us was very sweet, professional, and patient throughout the experience. I believe she said her name was Vanilla. She seemed to be doing her best in a challenging environment and handling situations that pointed more toward training and management gaps than individual effort.

I’m leaving 4 stars because the employees were kind and trying, but this location would really benefit from stronger leadership, better training, and more consistent attention to cleanliness and food handling.“

Took to go, but the place was clean and ready for business later on in the day. Grabbed a couple neighborhood newspapers as I left.“
