“Went in yesterday afternoon & the esamocha was on point for my first time ordering. Returned this evening and definitely wanted another but horrible! Way too much honey that makes it too sweet. Definitely a difference between the people in the kitchen.“

“Amy's is in a great location right on busy South Congress. The ice cream's are straight forward, tasty and it is a great experience on a nice day. Lines can get long and there usually are only two people taking and making the orders every time I've gone, so, I'd recommend going when you aren't in a rush“

“I met the most wonderful person I ever encounter in an ice cream shop, he was so friendly, as soon as I enter the door he welcome me, he also show kindness and patience because I asked so many questions that were probably naive, or dumb but he took the time to answer them promptly and accurately, he should be the trainer for all the staff, and be promoted to manager for giving 10 star treatment to the customers, great job for whoever hired him, this is true hospitality!

“Amy’s is another Austin original and I am especially fond of it because in the 1980s, the original Amy’s opened up in what used to be a Texas French bread literally around the corner from me. I used to go there all the time for the very first days of their opening and still go. Their ice creams are excellent with a lot of unique flavors.“

“We are lucky enough to have Dulce Frida at our monthly farmer’s market, and we always get lemonades. They are the best and tastiest lemonades I have had! Yesterday we saw they were coming out for our food truck night in the neighborhood, I literally jumped for joy! This time we got cherry, mango and watermelon Italian ices and they were fantastic! “We visiting this location of Jeni’s on a trip to Austin, the ice cream was great. A lot of new unique seasonal flavors.

They had a poster for crispy chilli oil on ice cream… it was a limited time thing.. so we gave it a try and surprisingly wow! It’s seriously a game changer! The staff was very friendly.

“This place is a hidden gem. It may not be the bigger names but the selections and different varieties of boba milk tea is good. Most big names uses store bought boba, Love bubble tea makes it fresh. I'm Chinese and I'm from NYC. It's boba central over there but when it comes to focusing on the product vs name brand Love Bubble Tea will delivers it.

I had the taro milk tea with jasmine tea, less ice and 75% sugar. The milk is very fresh and you don't taste the bitterness from the jasmine but you can still taste it. I really liked the fresh boba.

This place is underrated but worth going again.“

I don’t feel this review needs much elaboration. It’s just amazing ice cream sandwiches, served by friendly staff, in a cool little spot. Sometimes places just get it right and The Baked Bear does. It’s simple but executed wonderfully.

Parking: The parking was as much as the ice cream sandwiches… that’s the only downside of going here.

I understand paying for parking, but there is no other option to get into downtown besides driving. Until we have viable public transit we all have to drive and should not be charged so much to park.“

It’s been the most inspiring thing for a chefs palette . And the chocolate chip cookies will transport you . The moment you take a bite you will feel like you’ve just walked into a dream . “We’ve been wanting to come here for a while since we pass by it so often ( I go to Peach House). These might be the best churros we’ve ever had. The traditional were perfect. Service was great. They’re super quick and they make them fresh.

“We were in town for a concert and found our way to Hay Elotes. The staff was super nice and friendly. We got the elotes, Mangonada and the Bandera. The elotes was probably the best I've ever had. The Mangonada was delicious and refreshing. The Bandera had such an incredible combination of flavors I can almost taste it as I write this. The perfect treat for such a hot day.

“Come here if you crave an authentic Mexican snack! The special corn in a cup is my favorite, always warm and delicious with a good amount of toppings. Reasonable prices and kid friendly for picky eaters. Staff is very friendly and ready to take your order.“
