“This is one of those places where the regulars are actually really cool. I have had the privilege of going to Dan’s Silverleaf for the past three weekends. I used to live in Denton, but I did not frequent this place. I didn’t know what I was missing out on. They always have some great music and it’s a really fun lively crowd and if you are with Kyle and Jack dog (Pictured in his element at Dan’s) then you’re VIP. The Geezerpalooza was totally awesome. Definitely check this place out!“

“Limited and unique beers on tap. But what will make me a regular is the staff and atmosphere. Staff is knowledgeable, kind and funny. I would stop in every day if I lived in town! Best chill vibes and unicorn farts. Beers on tap and take home means you can find new stuff and don't have to commit to peopling just to get it after a long day.“

“chill atmosphere on a Saturday night“
“I enjoy Yellow Dog, especially karaoke Saturdays. However, yesterday left my fiancé and I in a poor mood because the bartender wrongfully accused my fiancé of being a predator. They pulled him outside and said that there were some concerns for the woman he was with because he put his hands on me and I “looked” like I was in fear. They didn’t consult me. They just pulled him outside. Even after the fact my fiancé corrected them, I didn’t even know about the ordeal until I noticed my fiancé hadn’t come back inside the bar. We bought art, my friends and I bought canvases to paint, my fiancé is a generous tipper, and the way he was treated was just sad. Anyway, still recommend Yellow Dog because I love the concept, I love the art, and I love karaoke. Just make sure you let the bartenders know in advance that your older fiancé is actually your fiancé and not a predator ❤️“

“Good vibe and atmosphere, great patio and live music on weekends. If you look under the age of 25 you will most likely be judged that way. I’m 22 and walked in with my 21 y/o boyfriend and immediately was given cold service and bad attitude from the bartender. He closed our tab without letting us tip… assuming he put 20% thinking we weren’t going to tip at all? That and the weak drink he made me left a bad taste in my mouth.“

Wheelchair accessibility: There's a ramp, but keep in mind the outdoor area has gravel slowing a wheelchair.“

“Man this place blew me away. This was my first time here so I did not know what to expect. I came for a Birthday for a friend where a D&D game was being DM'ed by someone there as a reference point.
Parking was not the best only because it is the area, not the place itself. It is located right in the square so if you are there to walk around for a bit and see a few things it makes sense and would not be bad. For someone who was coming to this place for this event, I had to walk a decent way because I did not find a place to park close.
When I walked in, I knew I would like the place. There are a ton of places to sit and drink beer with a great selection. I had a couple of selections and all were great.
I loved the wall of board games that you could choose to grab and play. I saw parents with kids, what looked like a teenage boy and girl on a date, a group of people in their 40's all playing a game. It was fun to see that.
What I did NOT expect was to be led to a staircase that went DOWN. Underneath his really cool and large room up top, sits 3 separate rooms that could be closed off and held 6-8 people I think per room. I did not get a good look at one of the 3, it may be bigger. It is all wood and feels like a Tavern from the old days. Really cool setup down there and a great feel!
Seating was comfy but I do feel like the room we were in that was for up to 8 people did not truly fit 8 people (with a DM). We had to have someone sit on the side away from the table. Another thing that was lacking a bit was the lack of power outlets as we are all D&D Beyond users which means we had laptops. So we had to make that work. One last thing was that although the rooms were separate, they were still close to each other and we would hear the other group as they triumphed. This was not a bad thing, just calling it out. Our DM did run late but was amazing. She did a great job. Because she was late, we all got a free round on the house which was a great gesture.
I had a great time and would 100% recommend!“
