“Stopped by The Pelican House for some Louisiana Cajun flavor and it did not disappoint! I ordered the grilled seafood platter,super flavorful and cooked just right. You can really taste the seasoning in every bite. I also tried the peach cobbler, and it was spot on. Perfect balance of breading and peachesn not too heavy, not too sweet. Shoutout to Louis, the owner, for the great conversation and sharing some helpful advice about opening a restaurant. That personal touch made the experience even better. Definitely coming back!“

“Excellent experience. Started with the hush puppies. Pleasantly surprised by the freshness and crunch. Quality flavor. Moved onto the French fries. Got Cajun spice on them and it was perfect. Catfish was the final test. Thick filet, fried perfectly, with a descent flavor. My only critic is that the catfish breading could have more flavor. I added a splash of lemon. They also have dipping sauces available. I wanted to add some of that Cajun spice though! Will be returning soon.“

Once we actually found it, we discovered it clean and spacious. The food was good. Staff was nice. It took us a moment to place our order. Our Waitress was possibly distracted by other things going on in the restaurant. But our shrimp basket and wing basket were tasty good! I'd return.“

“The service and food was amazing! Laura, our waitress, helped me with suggestions for dinner and drinks and went up and above. She even brought my daughter some beads not knowing we were here for her birthday shopping. We will definitely be back and sitting in Laura's section again!“

“My dad, sister and I all ordered various meals and each of us was satisfied. The portions are sufficient, but don’t expect to make two or three meals from an order. The customer service both in the restaurant and via delivery service is outstanding.“

“Tried Boomshack and it was a solid experience. I got the wing special with Shack sauce — flavor was on point and everything was cooked right. Fries were seasoned good too.
Best part though was the service, my server was super attentive and made it easy. Spot looks nice inside too, clean with a good vibe. I’d definitely run it back.“

“First time visiting this restaurant. Nice atmosphere. Nice family environment. While we were there we were in the presence of a 56th birthday celebration and a graduation. Nice group. We had the shrimp basket and the 12 piece wing (lemon pepper). Food arrived hot and seasoned perfectly. Family really enjoyed our meal.“

“Catfish maybe best in dfw. Sour cream cake tasted like it was made by an actual angel 😇 the wait is worth it. Fish always cooked nice hot and crisp and fries perfectly seasoned. *Edited to add* They cook every order as it is ordered so it might take a minute or 30 but if u are waiting in line for a table at roadhouse for 30 minutes u can wait here for the BEST CATFISH u will ever have and u will know it is FRESH“
