“First time to eat here and all I can say is WOW! My wife and I had the "Texas style" Philly Cheese Steak and it was the best I have ever had by far. Cooked perfectly and full of flavor. My wife had French fries and I had onion rings and both sides were great as well. I'd say more, but go try one for yourself. We will definitely be back and if the rest of the menu is even close it will be worth it! Good cold beer selection and my wife loved her bloody Mary.“
“Nice place. Military discount. The ribeye was great, but expensive. The jalapeno cream corn was a hit. The fries were good. The chicken fried steak was good. The pizza crust was neither thin and crispy nor a proper Brooklyn, kinda hard and chewy with no flavor, the toppings were probably ok but overshadowed by the blah crust. Our server was attentive but not intrusive, she said this was their last day until New Years and they were going to remodel but didn't know what they were going to be?? Maybe a bar with "some" food but no real idea??“

“We almost didn't go due to some of the reviews,but sometimes bad reviews are because of disgruntled employees. I'm glad we went, we sat at counter due to it being so busy and I was amazed at how the cooks handled the amount of orders they had. Yes it took 40 minutes for food to get to us but it was a packed Sunday morn. The Western omelet was delicious and filled with veggies and ham. I will definitely go back next time I'm in town.“

The waitress was very attentive and quick to get refills. The chips and salsa were very good and not stale like the other chilies restaurants I have been to lately so that was great. The steak was cooked amazingly, and it tasted great, the fries were pretty good as well.(Flash into the past) 1 year ago(I went to this location last year with some friends when one of the waiters was very rude and aggressive with us. He wouldn’t refill our drinks or get us anything without us asking, and when we asked he gave attitude and wouldn’t come back for a while. We would then ask again when he comes back to the point we got up and asked another person for our stuff. Our waiter was rude and threw our to go boxes and other things on the table without a care for where they landed. It was one of the worst experiences we had in a restaurant.)“
“I haven’t been to Captain D’s since I was a teenager. My mom and I went and it was delicious, really hit the spot. Also I have to say your employee Tiona was so sweet and kind. If I had a business I would have scooped her up and hired her immediately. I was blown away by this young woman. She was wonderful!!!“

Breakfast here is my jam--I'm usually all about their two-egg special with home fries and toast. My girlfriend swears by their jalapeño burgers, claiming they're the town's crown jewels. Sure, the place can get packed, and when it does, time seems to slow down, courtesy of their cozy-sized kitchen. But patience is a virtue, especially when their breakfast is on the line--it's worth the culinary countdown! I'm not the biggest fan of their burgers or chicken fried steak--I've got my own go-to spots for those. But when it comes to breakfast, Peacocks struts right into my top three with ease! I'd definitely give Peacocks two thumbs up! Just a friendly reminder: this isn't your run-of-the-mill fast food joint. Everything's cooked when you order, so good things come to those who wait. “Some of the best cheese fries I've ever had. Service was fast, and the waitress was nice. I got the Philly and my dad got the chicken fried steak, half of which he couldn't even eat because of the size. The drinks were massive. When we got our food they gave me fries instead of onion rings which the waitress noticed immediately and got the right food instantly. 40$ for 2 people plus appetizer, and enough food home for a mid night snack for the both of us, now that's a good deal. Overall? You should eat here.“
“We live about 30 miles away but every time we come to Stephenville we stop by Cotton Patch. The food is great, the atmosphere is relaxing and the service always good. A special shout out to our favorite server, Nicole. We'd adopt her if we could. We never go in that she doesn't make us feel both welcome and like we've come home. To us, she's like family.“
“We love Granny Clark’s! It’s pretty much always busy no matter when we stop or pass by. Customer service is great and it has a nice friendly feeling to it. There is lots of seating. They have a breakfast and lunch buffet depending on the time and day. You can order from the menu or do the buffet. We visited during lunch and got the buffet. The lunch buffet was around $12.99 and soooo worth it. They didn’t have a huge amount of items but what they did have was awesome. They have a salad bar, liver and onions(on special that day), chicken fried steak, meatloaf, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, rolls, and chicken tenders. For dessert they had apple cobbler, bread pudding and cake. I tried a little bit of everything and I’m serious when I say everything was delicious! The Mac and cheese, meatloaf and chicken fried steak were my favorites!“
