“ATMOSPHERE: when you show up to this restaurant the outside of the restaurant is simple and not what you would expect. When you walk inside it as though you walked into a Japanese restaurant in the middle of a Japanese city. Very traditional and you have two seating options: 1. The bar where you can watch the cooks work the grill 2. The Floor. You walk up take your shoes off and they seat you at the table where you sit on the floor. It’s actually surprisingly comfy.FOOD: this place is a five star rating for food all around. If you’re not very adventurous and only want an American take on the food they do have options on the menu that will accommodate you. If you’re looking for more traditional Japanese options there are so many great options and all are amazing. They even have some more creative options that are still a nod to traditional Japanese but with a twist. I would definitely recommend asking the server for their recommendations if it’s your first time and just dive in.SERVICE: they are quick and attentive yet still manage to be kind and patient. They even remembered my wife and I after months later from our first visit.Over all I wouldn’t have anything negative to say about this place. They only do reservations for 3+ people so if you’re a couple get there early and wait in line. TOTALLY worth it.“
“The food is awesome, they have a lot of a sushi options(with photos!) and the regular menu is fantastic.I’ve been to most sushi places in the area and this place blows them out of the water in all categories. It’s better than Nikko in Southlake town square, go here instead.“
“My husband and I ordered Takoyaki and Karashi Tonkatsu. The takoyaki was really good nice and crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. The Karashi Tonkatsu we ordered in different spice level one was mild the other with habanero in it. Good ratio of noodles and broth. Overall great ramen stop.“
“Place wasn't packed but it was a Tuesday at 1pm so take that however you want. but DAMN this had to be some of the best Ramen I've had in years. the depth of flavor the broth had was amazing. everything was made to perfection and then some. if you have the chance to try the food here please do.“
“First time guest at Yasashi Sushi Ramen Grill and it was better than I hoped for. My son and I love to try new Ramen shops and we have been to several in the DFW metroplex. This is has to be the best tonkotsu (pork ramen) we have had by far. The broth was flavorful and well balanced. The noodles had the perfect slurpablilty. Was a bit disappointed with the hard boiled egg (prefer the soft boiled), however this does not take way any points. The pork was tender and easy to pull apart. It had great individual flavor that stood out from the rest of the dish (had ramen where the pork was lost). You can tell that the chef preps the pork separately and with care. The entire dish was delicious and I found it very easy to finish. Service was great too, even though we came in a bit late. We will be back to try other dishes or just to get the tonkotsu bowl again.“
“Food is to die for as the expression goes. The flavor profile is phenomenal for every dish we tried. Service was beyond our expectations, super fast. Ambience was contemporary with hip hop music streaming in background. Will definitely do this again, family friendly and kids friendly“
“Greeted with a gorgeous smile, had the delicious fried dumplings appetizer! I had to get my food packed to go due to a change in flight, nevertheless it tasted delicious when I had an opportunity to eat at the airport. Will certainly recommended & come back ! Thank you !“
“I can’t believe we haven’t tried this place before now! The food is delicious. Sometimes when I see a menu offering two different types of ethnic cuisine, I become skeptical because authenticity might be compromised. O have to say, this place does Japanese Ramen and Thai dishes just right. I lived in Japan for three years. Both their traditional and fusion offerings were delicious. My daughter had yellow curry Ramen (not traditional at all but DELICIOUS!), we had shrimp shumai as an appetizer. My traditional pork Ramen was yummy. Service is as good as it can be for a family owned restaurant with cooks and servers speaking just enough English to answer your questions. The wait for food was normal compared to a chain restaurant. Charming, authentic, clean. We will be coming back!!Kid-friendliness: If your kiddo is allowed to have carbonated drinks, they’ve got to order a Ramune!Wheelchair accessibility: There are no steps to take for entry. Tables are spaced well, with room to maneuver for wheelchair users“
“After two years of being a regular customer, I am finally writing a review on my favorite restaurant. This place has the best prices, best atmosphere, best service, and BEST food. As a college student, I am constantly hungry and I spend way too much money on food but I never feel guilty eating here as there are always so many budget friendly options on the menu. It is a family owned restaurant, that never fails to deliver on the quality of their food and service. They have a dish for everyone so if you don't like sushi, don't worry; their ramen and fried rice options are delicious too. If you haven't eaten here yet, you're missing out! Here are some of my recommendations for things to try:My favorite appetizers: miso soup, monkey brains, takoyakiFavorite sushi rolls: winter roll (warm, comforting), dragon eel roll (savory), caterpillar roll (warm, comforting), crazy crunch roll (discount roll, super tasty for salmon lovers), cowboy roll (savory, warm)Bang for your buck meals: any of the bentos, birria ramen, shoyu pork ramen, combination fried rice“
“Came in on one of, if not the busiest time of year and everything was beyond spectacular. Elaine is an absolutely amazing asset to this place, she took great care of us while taking care of several other tables in here. We will be coming back, thank you for such a wonderful experienceHad the Ticket to Heaven & Spicy Edamame. 2 extra spicy tonkotsu w/ extra mushrooms. 2 oolong tea. You won’t regret visiting!!“
“My wife and I really like this place. The inside is really clean and the employees are very friendly. I had the Tonkatsu ramen - pork belly. Theirs is really good - it’s a fatty meat but theirs is firm with a rich flavor. Some places make sloppy and tasteless Tonkatsu but Ramen Joy takes a lot of care with their preparation. We also had some dumplings - very good with a nice fresh taste. My wife had the vegetarian spicy Ramen and really enjoyed the flavors. Good place!Vegetarian options: Ramen come with an egg, so if you are vegan make sure to request not to have it. Our server asked us ahead of time.“
“Great place for a date night! My husband and I went on a Saturday night, and we easily got a table, and had great service. I had the vegetarian ramen (DELICIOUS) and my husband had one of the sushi rolls, which he very much enjoyed. I also tried their vegetarian role with soy paper, and it was so good! I am coming back to try more of the vegetarian rolls! We then walked around Southlake Town Center, enjoying window shopping and stopping for ice cream.“
“Best sushi spot i have had. The food is phenomenal and the service is awesome. Service is personal and great. The cowboy roll has become my favorite. Tried another sushi place recently that was rated well out of convenience of a drive and it reminded me of how good bamboo house is. Andre is the best, Love this place.“
