“Alex/ AKA ELVIS is amazing server. Friendly, always attentive, he does not miss any details and remembers my likes and dislikes. I travel at least 2 hours to the Allen MiCocina. To see Elvis and have a wonderful time and meal. It’s the best in all of DFW.The staff is friendly and the food is always amazing.I have never been disappointed with the food and staff.I wish they would build a MiCocina in Greenville/Royse City/Quinlan and move the entire staff to this location. There is not any Mexican restaurants equal to MiCocina in Allen Tx.“

“To be fair the food was hot and fresh, it would be nice to have cheese and sauce on the tacos, without it the tacos were a little bland and dry. Now that I know, I will ask for cheese and sour cream upfront with my order next time, because by the time I took a bite, there were too many people at the counter to ask for it. “This is a small mom & pop shop (those have the BEST food) with 2 different sides. One side has the tacos and things and the other has the corn/ice cream and lot of other things. We order some Birria tacos and 3 different street tacos (steak, brisket & barbacoa,) the Birria taco were SOOO GOOD, the only thing we didn't like was the steak taco so it was under seasoned, but the other 2 were good also. I wasn’t a fan of the chorizo on top, just not use to that specific chorizo. Flour tortillas were underwhelming, I was hoping for authentic flour tortillas.We really enjoyed the birria tacos but my only complaint was that the rice was a tad bit salty.Margaritas are STRONG. Put my husband right to bed as soon as we arrived home.Overall, good experience! Meats are always tender and well-seasoned, tortillas are made fresh, and their salsa verde is one of my favorites! Family-owned, and service is always very attentive and friendly. “We ordered takeout, and the man who took our order was friendly and offered suggestions when asked. We ordered a burrito and a chicken fajita chimichanga with queso on the side for both. My husband said his burrito was good, but I was disappointed with the chimichanga. I didn't realize that the only ingredient inside the chimichanga was the chicken fajita meat; I thought there'd be cheese, maybe some onions and fajita veggies. There weren't. Just the chicken. Won't be ordering that again, but we'll be back when we can dine in and try something else.“

Missing from the description was the fact that the peaches were canned, so instead of a tasty addition, they were more of a barely grill marked mass of slime. “Been going to Dillas since their only location opened was the one in Plano. It's fresh and tasty. I can't remember a week I haven't gone lately in the past years, at least me or my husband go once a week. The hot hatch is where it's at and the chips and queso. The fires are good too. You can get any Dilla as a salad too. They also have fresh brewed sweet and unsweet tea and lemonade. We always said this place would take off and it is and I am so happy for them that they have grown so much over the years.Good food. Great people. The place that used to be there was terrible, but Salsa is terrific. Our waiter, last time, was not good, but the food is consistently delicious.
