“We went to the Rosenberg area for a walk @ seabourne creek park. With the sprinkling of rain, we left the walk early to head to the Agatha theatre but realized a small meal was needed.
Originally looking at McD's, Jack didn't feel appetizing.
We stumbled across Dippin Donuts and knew they'd have croissants and kolaches!
About a half dozen people were in the lobby but I was still enthusiastically greeted.
As we looked at the kaloches, the female assured us she had croissants in the back but since it was so busy, she hadn't had a chance to make them yet.
Dad happily ordered his ham, egg, and cheese and the young man quickly offered to warm it up for him. (NICE size of ham!)
Donut holes were $1.85 so I grabbed some while my jalapeno, sausage, cheese was warming in the microwave.
Dippin donuts have about 4 booths but most customers were ordering their dozen or so mixed donuts and a couple breakfast sandwiches and heading home to feed the hungry mouths.
Strongly encourage you to come early! The owners knew most folks by their name or trade.
It's easily believable this is a local family-owned favorite in the area.“

“This new Shipley's Donut location in Katy opened yesterday (2/21/2026). Wow, I went there today (2/22/2026) for a dozen of glazed donuts, which were delicious! I happened to check through some older mail the other day at my house and discovered a post card announcing the Grand Opening on February 21, 2026 with coupons. I was able to redeem the coupon for buy one dozen glazed donuts and get a half of dozen glazed donuts for free. The attendant didn't know the expiration date for the coupons so check to see if you received the post card for the Shipley's Donut location on 4019 Pitts Rd in Katy, TX. The coupons are only valid at this location.“

Most of team strike that balance of sweet but not sickening, and their filled donuts come with just the right amount of filling.If you've got a major sweet-tooth, though, go with the Bullseye. “This Dunkin’ location is self-serve and is located inside of a gas station. We enjoyed making our own iced coffee however, the Dunkin’ brand iced coffee wasn’t available so we had to use the gas station’s brand of cold brew that was on tap to make our drinks. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t Dunkin’, which is why we specifically came to this location. The doughnuts were surprisingly good. I liked the experience. And the clerk at the counter was really sweet when we checked out with her.“
