I thanked her, put the on my kitchen table but was reluctant 2 try them because they usually don't compare 2 the Houston donut shop errrr institution that has been here since 1936, but they have not been tasting like they used 2, lately. “Been a long time since I visited a Shipley’s. This location does not have a drive thru, so be prepared to want everything when you enter and smell the deliciousness! Service is great and the bakery items are terrific. I especially love the sausage kolache with jalapeño. The kolaches are large and the sausage to cheese to bread to jalapeño ratio is perfect! Highly recommend. If you’re not a sausage fan, they make them with ham too. No pictures of the food, sorry. I got too excited! Lol“

Came in at closing, so Im sure service with a hurry up and select smile...lol was the mood. Didn't help another customer coming in behind me was face-timing selecting hahaha so yeah. The treated crave was as selected 'fresh', sweet & good. Ratings are on-point. Place looked clean to come back in another blue moon, check them out! Recommendation Strawberry Donut with Sprinkles & other selected recommendation.

Dietary restrictions: 1. If you're on a diet probably shouldn't go to a donut shop. Or just eat occasionally in moderation. 2. MOST baking includes eggs so keep that in mind, ask ahead of consumption or just AVOID a potential allergic reaction.....plenty of other safer treats. 3. Remember it's a donut shop its supposed to be yummy! lol

It’s a popular local spot where people do tend to sit and eat, it’s a bit small so the atmosphere isn’t for me.

They seem to use the same cheap sugar and ingredients as Shipley’s (whereas some donut shops seem to use more quality ingredients).

All that said, the food is YUMMY and the service is AWESOME. Price is good too.“

“They have donuts and it's clean. The staff is ok. I like the fact that they stay open nearly all day. Even if you get a donut craving at lunch they have you covered. Plus, I like my donuts warm and they will ask you if you'd like to warm it up. A lot of places don't ask or make that available.“
