“Really are the best donuts in Meyerland/Southwest Houston.
Ladies are quick so when the line is long... you still get served in 10 minutes.
It's a donut shop, clean with tables... not atmosphere. LOL.
I buy from them 3 times a month and have never been disappointed.

“My neighbor brought over an extra dozen donuts over from Home Cut Donuts. I thanked her, put the on my kitchen table but was reluctant 2 try them because they usually don't compare 2 the Houston donut shop errrr institution that has been here since 1936, but they have not been tasting like they used 2, lately. I eventually tried them ( 2 ). I put them in the microwave for 10 seconds. I took a bite. I was surprised. They tasted a lot better than I thought. The donuts were very tasty, especially w/ their sugary glaze. Next time, I want refrigerate them over night, microwave them & then taste them. See how they taste. That would be a true test. Would buy them again ? YES ! ! ! !“

This was my first time visiting this donut shop. As I entered there was a warm greeting for the staff. The donuts smelled and looked amazing. May was so sweet. She had such a great aura and gave suggestions of things for me to try.

“My son and I stopped for a treat before school. The kolaches were extremely fresh and delicious. He really enjoyed his hot chocolate and my salted caramel macchiato was pretty good. A little too thick for me to drink in one sitting. It is probably 90% milk with a little bit of their coffee. Concentrate and I did see her put which I believe is the salted caramel sauce as the last step. Nowhere near Starbucks, but it’s good. Mostly like salted caramel chocolate milk.
The atmosphere is plain and very simple. Just as every other Shipley’s you enter.

“Nice mom and pop shop. The owners are a sweet down to earth lady and her quiet husband. They offer to microwave my food each time, and it’s so convenient because I never have a long wait for my service. “I love this shipley’s for various reasons! Obviously, one big kicker in the ol’ five star department is the taste. Mmmmmm I love the glazed donuts and the Kolaches are incredible. We went her in national donut day, a tradition our family has always celebrated, and asked if all 4 of us could get a glazed donut for free. The woman at the counter said no, we could only get one. Hehe, this was almost going to be a 3 star review but the lady played around with us. When we got back home to open up all the donuts, not only were our original items on there, but also four glazed donuts. I love the service , I love the food, I love it all! Thanks guys!“

“We've only had their glazed Donuts and small cups of coffee and the Donuts are wonderfully tasty warm and delicious, just like you want them to be. I don't care for them preparing my coffee for me when I ask for coffee and creamers as was done on one occasion without an explanation and we found out after leaving the drive through. I will still be a customer and recommend them to others.“

“I ordered half a dozen glazed & a cinnamon twist. They got the donuts off the tray. The donuts were warm, but cool enough that the icing didn't melt 2 bottom of the donuts. ( The Perfect temperature / cooling time ). Great job !!!! ??They should call their cinnamon twist just " The Twist " because I couldn't taste any cinnamon in or on like I used 2. " The Twist. " tasted like a twisted, glazed donut w/o any cinnamon. Would I come here again ? Yes, but I'll no longer order the " Twist "“

“What makes this location good is the exceptional people who work there and the excellent service. Professional, personable and kind people are what I discovered. You might not expect that. I rated the food low because as far as what the market has to offer the donuts are as basic as donuts come and relatively too expensive. After experiencing better donut bakeries, shipleys is what I settle for as a last resort when I am out of options. shilpleys is never my first choice. Houston has better options. My problem with their donuts is almost everything is poor quality with a premium price. A medium 'coffee' with two iced donuts is $6.00. The low-grade tar-like, extra-bitter, burned 'coffee' is really bad as well and definately not worth anything except a bad aftertaste, dissapointment and disatisfaction.“

“I don’t know what happened at this location these young people that are in place lack customer service skills. The drinks used to always be made right not sloppy. If my regular place didn’t have a huge order this morning I would have went to them. The way the drinks are made isn’t worth it anymore. On yesterday i witnessed a customer bringing back a breakfast sandwich she was letting the worker know that the bacon was raw coming from an elderly person that meant she wanted her bacon crispy. Your workers should never argue back with customers especially the elderly.“
