“Looooooove this spot!!! The vibe is so chill and laid back. Very cozy, like a home feel. The service was great. The owner was very knowledgeable and welcoming.

The spot was very clean and spacious. There is outdoor seating. Street parking. Love the selection of music. I could have easily stayed there. It was hard for me to leave. So peaceful.

I purchased the abyssinia latte (hot), sambusa and small donuts (carrot cake, caramel) which come as a pair. Everything was tasty. My favorite were the small donuts. OMG!!!! Soooooo delicious 😋 The carmel was my favorite out of the two. There are other flavors to choose from.

I will definitely be back to try the flight and other pastries and food items.

“First, each time I have visited Common Grounds the service has always been welcoming. On this visit, I decided to enjoy (and I did enjoy it all) a Lavender Rose cappuccino and a pour-over using their Ethiopian beans (which was perfectly done), and to eat I had the Avocado Toast. It was one of the best I have had. I didn't think the one slice would be enough, but with the perfect amount of toppings, it was plenty to fill me up. Also, their flat white is a very enjoyable drink.“

“Everything here is top notch. I work for University of Houston and I come here often in the morning or at lunch time. Their coffee is amazing. Doesn't matter what you get, it's always impeccable. Their breakfast sandwiches are also absolutely amazing. The staff/students that work there are all nice and friendly. Orders come out VERY quick and always good. If you're visiting or you live in Houston, this is a place you won't want to miss out on!“

“This place is beautiful and isn’t the biggest but is just right for a calm and peaceful environment. There are always different people there going to study, get a drink, or simply just chill. I have always gone here since I was little and especially since it is very local to me. This place has so many different drinks to offer but best of all Boba. The Boba tastes so good and chewy like no other that I have tasted. I have tried tapioca from different places but no place sticks to me like this one. It tastes so fresh and best of all doesn’t taste fake. The customer service is fast and great. The people don’t treat you like a customer but like family they are so kind and welcoming when you go there. I see the same older man every time I go, and he is always so cheerful and welcomes me and my brother so well! The food there is so good too. They have snack foods and a snack that can fill you like a meal. Everything is so tasteful and delicious you’ll never have a problem with anything. I would recommend this place to anyone trying to find a good Boba spot. This place is the best one!“

Have my three drink orders out in less than five minutes!! I personally just feel that people need to vent out, but not like this. Hope things get better for Ms. Bass, and her lengthy one star reviews everywhere she steps foot in.“

“We try to check out a couple different breakfast spots every time we come to Houston. Occasionally we’ll find one we go back to, but most aren’t very memorable. We tried Toasterz Cafe on our most recent trip and I am so glad we did! The service was phenomenal and the food matched it. I had the shrimp and grits and bananas foster French toast. Both exceeded expectations. The shrimp & grits, however, were hands-down the best I’ve ever tasted. They add sausage and bacon which absolutely takes it over the top. And the biscuits!? I’ve never had a biscuit that melted in my mouth like these did. Definitely try this place. You won’t be disappointed.“
