“Open arrival the place was almost full. Had a party atmosphere. The staff were very busy but friendly and helpful. The food was good as expected.Kid-friendliness: My great great grandson broke his drink cup. He is nine, he went. to a staff person explained what had happened. They took his word for it and gave him a duplicate drink.Parking: Adjunct to the restaurant.“
“Hands down the best coffee shop in Houston. Ive worked in coffee in Texas and California. So far they are one of the best I have been to. The atmosphere and customer service are top notch. Plus they have an amazing selection of Coffee to choose from on for their slow bar.“
“I have an extensive list of coffee shops on my "must try" and Oso has definitely been on my list. I got up early this morning and decided to swing by for a coffee with a friend. The location is very small but extremely inviting. The inside can sit maybe 10-15 people and there is some outdoor seating available. I could see this place getting packed pretty quickly. The staff is very friendly and the service is fast. While we already had breakfast prior to arriving we were pleasantly surprised they offered a breakfast menu. We both had the horchata latte and a concha. We really enjoyed the horchata latte was really good, super excited to try more drinks! This might be my new regular!“
“The best coffee in Downtown. I am here so so often. Call me a regular. I walk to here. I live on their great coffee (Mayan, cafe Ole..) and their bean tamale with plantain chips. Their Mexican cups are so cool and the place is comfy. Shawn who works there is great, single and sexy. ??“
“Wonderful BUY 1 GET 1 Free Coupon for the Signature Lattes (made hot, iced, or frappe style) they are offering to our neighborhood so my bf and I decided to check it out. We also used the coupon to try the Nutella Stuffed Waffle and tried 1 entree item. Huge savings and great 1st time deal!We loved the drinks. Delicious and unique flavors. Perfect serving sizes. I loved the employees. They were so kind and always smiling. Very attentive. The owner also approached us and talked to us while we enjoyed the drinks and food. They host weekly bingo and trivia nights where you win prizes as well as free coffee or drinks. I'd come and play games sometime. Definitely will be coming back here.Tons of free games to play with friends and family and wifi for students to study!Kid-friendliness: There is a whole playset of toys here for children to enjoy while parents enjoy some food and coffee. Also a kids menu is available! Definitely bring your kids :D“
“This is legit the best vegan bakery I have ever been to in my life. Every single thing they make is uniquely designed and delicious- more tasty than any vegan pastries I have ever had. It doesn’t even matter what flavor it is or type of pastry, everything tastes amazing. If I had thousands of dollars to donate to something, it would be this place.“
“A cozy hole in the wall local Coffee Shop, what more could you ask for? The building itself has kept good preservation. Upon entry the bookcases and plants are esthetically pleasing to the eye. The music gave the place a modern vibe. I ordered the peach lemonade as it was a bit humid outside and I wanted something to help refresh me. The young ladies behind the counter were great at helping me choose a drink. Prompt service and a decent crowd for a midweek, mid stop. I would most definitely come back again.“
“We came here for breakfast. The cashier and food server were very friendly and polite. The busser was also very nice. The food was delicious. However, as we were finishing up I wanted to refill my coffee right as the restaurant experienced a big rush. There was only one coffee urn for the “bottomless cup” and it was being refilled. I waited several minutes for it to fill as a coffee line formed behind me. In college I worked in the service industry and know how to put the spout back into a coffee urn so I asked a busser if I could. He said he’d go get the manager to help. I didn’t want to wait even longer and the restaurant was packed, so I put it back together myself. I should have just waited, I know. As I did that the manager came out and I nicely and politely told her that I’d already put it back together. I guess she didn’t listen or didn’t hear me because she told me to sharply to give her a second and she’d give us more coffee. I told her, again nicely and politely, that it’s already full. She turned around and literally gave me a look like she wanted to kill me. The lady next to us was surprised too. Through gritted teeth she said, “Like I said, let me get my bearings and we will get you more coffee” in a seething voice. I was a little shaken. She was so incredibly rude. I understand that I should have just waited, but there should have been several coffee urns available and we’d already waited. I’ve been busy and flustered before and I worked in the service industry in college. Even when busy and annoyed, I never spoke to a customer rudely, much less with pure vitriol in my voice and expression. I can’t imagine how she treats the employees. All the other employees were nice and the food was good so that’s why they get four stars. If it weren’t for that run in with the manager over poorly stocked bottomless coffee on a Saturday morning then I would have given five.“
“Nice neighborhood coffee shop with games and a lot of neat decor to look at. Very relaxing, welcoming atmosphere. They have game events here, even seen a birthday party held here. We love their coffee drinks and pastries. Especially their matcha latte and oat milk latte, so good. Their online ordering through their website is easy and quick, and our orders are always ready on time. Only wish they had any other Gluten-free options besides the brownie. Glad to see smaller coffee shops like this doing well in our area!“
“WOW, WOW, WOW. This is the ideal space to work, study, meet friends, dine, snack or rest one's weary legs and pass time in between accommodation. The food tastes good and the service is rapid. Airy and picturesque. I ordered the chicken gyro, Butterfly Lemonade and a cup of tomato and basil soup. We have nothing like this in Australia. I haven't seen other cafes setup like this in Houston either. If you aren't working and prefer to rest, grab the nook on the right hand side with the armchairs.“
“What a wonderful French bakery in Houston downtown. Our family loves everything about this place from baguette to quiche to pastries, everything was absolutely delicious. However, all of our coffee drinks were disappointing - lukewarm and turned cold quickly before we finished them. I hope this issue can be addressed ASAP as good coffee is the cornerstone of an enjoyable experience.“
“2nd cup is right alright, you can't drink just 1 latte.... the secret squirrel latte is my heaven in a cup here. Im not too keen on the name (in a bronx accent). "Come on! i got grey hair here for crying out loud!" Ok ok I will swallow my pride and mumble "let me have the secret squirrel latte please" thank you Melissa bring your own cup and save the planet.“
“Wow! Just wow!Every dish on the table was completely devoured! The meal was outstanding, from the fried chicken to the shrimp and grits, the Jersey chicken, and the island pepper shrimp. I'd give it 10 stars out of 5 if I could! All the side dishes were so delicious they had us licking our fingers.“
“This coffee shop is one of the best coffee shops in all of Houston !!! They are one the few that open late for the people that work 9 to 5 and need to get a good study sesh going. Derrick is one of the regular employees here and always checks up too see if we need anything all the time when I’m here.“
“Hidden gem in downtown. The service is amazing, they really cater to the clientele. The wifi is really fast and never goes down, so you can bring your work, order some food and enjoy a drink (Great place for meetings - music isn't too lound). Also its very clean, you can tell by the bathrooms that are spot on, and because its at the park there is often friendly security and casual dog-walkers wondering the park so you feel safe and it makes for a comfortable atmosphere. You do have to be careful about downtown parking signs so not to get a ticket.Parking: Street parking is available, must read signs.“
“Will definitely be coming back! I had the Charaiu Chinese BBQ sandwich. Loaded with plenty of meat and the perfect amount of fresh veggies. Also tried a tropical paradise cookie - super soft and delicious! Left with a cold creamy egg coffee - also amazing!“
“I really enjoyed the atmosphere. I ordered the breakfast burger and it was delicious. The mimosas were good too. We arrived early, but I must warn you that after 12p, it gets crowded. It would be great if they could add some extra shade to the patio area, as I imagine it will get very hot during the summer.“
“What an extremely pleasant surprise - I've walked by this place in the tunnels more times than I can count, and I am so glad I finally stopped in. The folks working both the front and the kitchen were as nice as can be. Incredibly fresh ingredients make all the difference here. I'll absolutely be back!“
“This place always has amazing customer service and delicious food! They were very accommodating towards a good allergy I have and Simone took all of the precautionaries to make my experience safe and enjoyable. Will definitely be coming here a lot more!“
“Excellent boba! Service was quick and efficient. The girls who took my order were kind & greeted me with a smile. They made my drinks in a timely manner. It's a cute little shop with nice decor. I had ordered a mango and passionfruit slush and their signature milk tea. Both were so good! The boba was the right texture & flavor. The drinks tasted as they should- not watered down like some boba spots. I was pleasantly surprised and happy. We'll be coming back again!“

It's a carousel of daily specials, complete with a drink, all for the wallet-friendly price of $8.99. “Food was delicious! I love having a healthy lunch spot as an alternative to all the fast food in the area. They do $2 Taco Tuesdays and the street tacos are packed with well seasoned beyond meat, grilled onions, and cilantro. I added fresh avocado that made them perfect. Also ordered a side of sweet potato fries that could have been a meal in itself. This very generous portion of fries were a great thick cut, had that perfect crisp on the outside, and had just enough salt (neither over nor under seasoned). The young woman taking orders was pleasant and food was ready in about 10-15 minutes (there were other orders ahead of mine). Only downsides to this place are limited parking options and an interior space that could use a little refresh.“
“We have been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. Dina is always working to add variety and make her already perfect donuts even better. Her service and genuine warmth are unmatched. Stop by in the am for a fresh glazed donut, there is nothing like it. So with that being said, if you pass up this little hidden gem and choose Shipleys, you deserve Shipleys cold donuts.“
“They good was delicious. They had a great variety of meats, pan Dulce, chips and fruit.I got me 2 tacos uno de Huevo con jamon y otro de nopales con salchicha.I also grabbed a fruit mix plate and the fruit was super fresh.Everyone was in a great mood.I would definitely be back.“
“Stopped in for some brunch snacks and enjoyed everything! The shrimp tempura and squid sticks were our favorites, and my toddler really loved the bubble waffle. Then Strawberry yogurt drink with lychee jelly was SO GOOD and my kid drank the whole thing! The matcha with Golden Boba was good! Definitely a nice, floral, smooth matcha! Yum!We also got the Dragon Fruit Juice with lychee jelly and the mango yogurt frappe which was amazing! Also a taro milk tea with rice and a Vietnamese Coffee, everything hit the spot!Parking: Easy parkingKid-friendliness: They have games and were so nice to our toddler!“
“I love this place. Me and my family have been coming here for years. We don’t even live in the area anymore we live an hour away and still take trips to eat here.We love the fried cheese Stix as an appetizer. All the food is super good and the desserts are so yummy.“
“I love their cold brew, usually there is a good seasonal flavor on, and their pre made sandwiches are great and inexpensive for a quick lunch on the go option. No indoor seating, and the dog friendly patio way too often means everyone brings their dogs who spend all morning barking at the other dogs (or maybe I am unlucky with when I go!), so I love to get my cold brew and take a walk on the super pretty tree lined Bayland on weekend mornings!“
“Everything about this place is amazing, with one exception. I’ve tried the mango tea, taro tea, lychee valentine and matcha crepe and they were all perfect. I get my teas less sweet. However, a constructive complaint that I really think the owners need to implement is that the place is not kid friendly. There’s no high chairs here and the white display case at the front has a low hanging pointy corner which my toddler son hit his head on. This place should really baby proof that corner because it’s very pointy and unsafe for kids. There’s also enough space in the very neat and clean bathroom for a baby changing station, but alas there is none. That corner in the front should be a priority however. Staff is also very friendly and the decorations are cute and it is very clean.“
“I honestly don’t know what I ordered but I found it in a TikTok comment and it was so good and it was pretty cheap! I’ll drop both pics(coffee pictures)Updated:I love visiting this location due to the speed of service. However today I got the strawberry "smoothie" for the first time and it was absolutely disgusting as it tasted nothing like a smoothie. The brand should market this differently as it is more of a slushie. Additionally I ordered the new boba in my drink for the extra 1$ and did not receive any in my drink. For normal coffee drinks I do get better accuracy. Also for a "smoothie" after 5 minutes the consistency deteriorates quickly.(strawberry smoothie with new boba added)“
“The food was okay I got the chicken fried steak I liked the steak but hash browns could've been more crispy for me...I wasn't sure what too expect because the outside looks a house but the inside is nicely remolded but the parking is terrible!! I may go back and try something “

“Common Grounds Uncommon Coffee offers top-notch espresso and truly friendly baristas. Its location may be a bit out of the way, yet it's a beacon for coffee lovers in a neighborhood with limited options. Definitely worth the detour for your coffee fix!“
“This is the best Kolache factory I have ever been too. I stopped here today during spring break on the way yo Sylvan Beach and the man an woman working there aroun 1:49pm were so kind, patient, and helpful. The kolaches fresh and they heated them up for us. Will definately make stopping here a tradition.?“
“This was a great experience and the food was delicious ? I really do recommend and willing to try this place again because it was just so freaking good the stuffed churro was the best out of everything and even the regular churro was so good I hope I can try this place again and the employees were so kind and the place was a vibe hope I can try this place again?Kid-friendliness: This is a great place to take you kids if you want too the vibe was just so good“
“One of my partners friends showed us this place. It’s a cool place to come be with your friends or study, and I feel like if you just want a quick cup of coffee, the drive-through is an amazing option. They have a little restaurant right across the street that I have not been to yet, but I plan to because a lot of their pastries or maybe all of them are from the restaurant and they are delicious. As always much love.Parking: It’s a pretty small parking lot so if it’s busy it maybe hard to find parking. I haven’t had this issue yet in the few time’s I’ve been here although it gets close to full.“
“Drunken Pho offers a very good Vietnamese dining experience which I would rate at 4.5 stars if Google Maps provided this capability. Most of the elements of the pho, their principal dish, are tasty, fresh and overall excellent. These include the rice noodles, the tender meat slices, the spongy meatballs, crisp and plentiful bean sprouts, flavorful basil leaves, and moderately spicy jalapeño slices. Unfortunately, the broth is a bit bland for my taste. I had to add more hoisin sauce and sriracha than I usually do with my pho to bring the soup to the flavor and spiciness that I prefer. The egg rolls were served fresh out of the fryer and were warm, crunchy, non oily and tasty; but I did find the outer crust to be a bit thick and therefore slightly masking the taste of the yummy inside content. The service was prompt and friendly. We were served about 10 minutes after ordering. Comfortable counter top seating that looks inward on the kitchen and the food preparation provides an enjoyable dining atmosphere. The location in Bravery Chef Hall off Preston on the southwest side of the intersection of Preston and Travis is a short walk away for downtown workers. However, if you are driving from other parts of Houston, nearby parking is scarce. The total cost for two bowls of pho, egg-rolls, one Thai tea, one bottle of water, and tip came In around $40. (Oh, I fondly remember the days when a filling bowl of pho could be obtained for $5.). At today’s pricing, this is going to be one of your more reasonably priced options for eating downtown but you may be inclined to reduce your visits to no more than a couple of times per month“
“I drive for metrolift and am all over the city. I try a variety of coffee shops for 2 years now. I didn't get the full experience as it was 1 hour before closing, but this abuelita hot chocolate (I added a shot of espresso) was the most satisfying beverage I've gotten from a coffee shop. I also got a chocolate chip cookie and it was just right. I hope my route brings me past this place more often.“
“Stopping by RoyalTea during my work day is often the highlight of my day. The baristas remember who I am and what I usually get and it's nice to have a personable conversation in the middle of my work day. And the coffee tastes great too!“
“Best coffee shop in Downtown by far . The baristas are all personable and know their coffee! They got some cool off the menu stuff as well if you want to mix it up. Don’t forget to try their tacos ! They sell out very fast so I recommend getting here before 9 am. A staple for those who work around here !“
“I come here a lot to watch unique shows and go to amazing festivals. I have a great time with my partner and I really enjoy the service here. The workers are very nice and I enjoy their coffee. I really love the kombucha on tap and if you like to drink, this place is cool. They have karaoke night sometimes and you should really follow their Instagram if you want updates. As always much love to the universe and especially you Houston, Texas Ɛ> !!! MWAHKid-friendliness: Great“
“This restaurant has become a new favorite for me and if you’re reading this review, stop reading now and GO! If you’re still here, let me just say that the chef, Keisha, is fantastic! She is so lovely and already knows my preferences after only a few visits. Every single thing I’ve had has been the best meal I’ve had - until the next time, lol. The DOUBLES are soo flavorful, I love the vegan breakfast sando - the eggs are seasoned to perfection, the house salad with jerk chicken is sending me into a salad craze, and the lo mein is so satisfying. I was drawn by the vegan options and the all day breakfast menu, on which you can really fill up! I’m slowly making my way through the menu but it’s hard because I could eat any one option, repeatedly, and be satisfied. The atmosphere is very welcoming, their customer service is amazing, 10/10, music is a vibe! Do yourself a favor and go now!Vegetarian options: The menu highlights the vegetarian options so it’s clear what is available throughout the menu. Regarding the vegetarian & vegan options available at this restaurant, you could close your eyes and pick any one of them and you will be sure to have the tastiest meal. Seasoned to perfection and made with love, you can taste it in each bite!“
“We came to visit on a whim and they did not disappoint! I tried two of the Harry Potter inspired drinks and they were amazing. I was a huge fan of the Ravenclaw beverage. Lavender and Lemonade just work. The chocolate muffin was so rich and moist. I’m completely obsessed!“
“This place is one of the easiest stops I make when I'm downtown. Good and polite service, no matter the choice. The coffee is always on point, and on my way, I go! Definitely recommend it to anyone who likes coffee and supporting local businesses. ??“
“Literally better tasting coffee than starbucks. The iced caramel latte with oatmilk is my fav. The matcha frappe is phenomenal as well and the iced chai with almond milk??? Yes yes yes and cheaper than starbucks. Haven't tried the pastries or desserts but they look so good. Even when the line is long and reaches the back door, we still get to the cashier fairly quickly. The coffee has a bit of a wait time if it's crazy busy but be patient! It's worth the wait. I've only waited long once out of all the times I went, can't blame them though. It was packed!“
“Honestly this place has some of the best breakfast and lunch. Everything the menu is homemade. The breakfast tacos are the best fresh flour tortilla. The owner is a very nice sweet lady who owns the establishment and works very hard to maintain. A well respected place you can come a grab a delicious bite. I have been coming here for 21 years of it was different management. Overall, if your in the Lockwood area and Armour Dr come shoe some love and check them out.“
“I was a little skeptical when we pulled up the shopping center looked a little run down but the inside was cute and my daughter loved her boba drink. We’ve tried boba before and it was not a good experience but we dried dragons blood with boba and it was pretty good. Would definitely visit again.“
“We were exploring the Houston Downtown Tunnels when we stumbled upon Kolache Factory. As the smell of warm, fresh kolaches filled the air, we knew we had to stop in. We were immediately impressed by the friendly service and the wide variety of kolaches available. We ordered a selection of both sweet and savory kolaches, and they were all delicious. The kolaches were soft and fluffy, with just the right amount of sweetness and savory flavor. The fillings were generous and flavorful, and the kolaches were the perfect size for a satisfying snack. We also enjoyed the coffee and croissants, which were fresh and delicious. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and they made sure we had a great experience. Overall, we had a wonderful snack experience at Kolache Factory. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to others.“
“(Translated by Google) The coffee is so delicious, I recommend a caramel macchiato mixed with cinnamon, the kolaches with jalepeño and the muffins are good.(Original)El café es tan delicioso, recomiendo un macchiato de caramelo mezclado con canela, los kolaches con jalepeño y los muffins son buenos.“
“Having a coffee bar available to your guests is a treat! The coffee choices are great, everything was delicious - the latte and chai were favorites and all the add ons were popular!! Nick is organized and super easy to work with - his set up makes entertaining easy and turn key!! I would recommend his crew and awesome coffee for any event you are hosting!!“
“This was our first time getting donuts in the eat end and to be honest this place was amazing! They are very sweet and welcoming we had a dozen donuts; they were fresh, yummy and my 4 year old ate all of it not just the chocolate part. He loved them ?? the kolaches were great & the ham egg and cheese croissant as well . There vanilla iced coffee was also amazing ?? 5 starts hands down better than Shipley ‘s . Nothing we got was stale ???This is officially our donut place ? Thanks again for the yummy food ?“
