“When going to galveston for vacation, I was disappointed at many of the restaurants but not this one I literally would drive the two hours just to eat here. Their food is so delicious and the wait time was great even on mother's day weekend.“

Owner was very nice also. He sat us himself working hard at 8am clearing plates and running food.

“My wife and I stayed just for one night at Moody Gardens Hotel before sailing on a Caribbean cruise. We had lunch at the Cafe - and it was fabulous! The lobster bisque soup is OUT OF THIS WORLD! The gumbo soup is a close second - I personally love okra and there was a lot of it in the soup. Our server, Tommie, treated us like royalties with utmost attention and care. We really felt pampered. All around - five stars!“

“This is a great little place to eat!! I had grilled shrimp taco's and they were wonderful.! The other dishes that were ordered were just as good! Hamburger steak, pizza, grilled chicken po boy. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the price was just as accommodating as the food was!“

“Island Time became our watering hole on our recent vacation and we were so happy with our experience. The staff was amazing, especially Julie and Josh, the drinks were fantastic, the food was your typical bar food but it was good, and the drag show was entertaining. The only negative that our group had to say was that the drag performers were a little too push for tips; literally putting their hand in front of you for a tip. This happened a few times to us, and others, and when we tipped them one of them rolled their eyes and said “that’s it”. Other than that, we had a great time and would totally go back to this fun and welcoming place.“

“Just the ambiance I've been looking for on the Island. The dim lighting, wine glasses and candles illuminating every table created an elegant vibe. It's romantic, warm, and still accommodating for larger groups. The vibe feels elevated, but relaxed. I made a reservation but I didn't need to. If you're familiar with this time of year on the island, it's usually a bit of a ghost town. We parked directly in front of the restaurant and the hostess immediately greeted and seated us. She even recognized my name from the reservation list which was a nice touch.“

“A few dozen oysters were had tonight—all fabulous. But my faves were something I’ve never had before: The BBQ oysters with house-made blue cheese dressing. Just delicious. I couldn’t decide which type of mussels—fra diablo or the pesto chardonnay—so I ordered them both. I was not disappointed. Ask for the garlic bread. OMG. Chef Megan and Brenna took great care of us. It was nice to see David too! 10 out of 10 for food, service, and company.“

“It's a fast food place. Not a free standing building. It is half burger king and half gas station. Difficult to get to. You must pull into the gas station parking lot. If you drive to the Burger King building it will take you 5-10 minutes to circle back around to get back. You can only enter the parking lot from one direction.“

“Nice classic buffet layout? Staff was very inviting and pleasant personalities. Our waitress was very attentive. They had a decent variety of various dishes. Being by the ocean I expected a better seafood variety than what was presented. Battered shrimp and like three styles off fish. The shrimp had the tails left on and battered so be careful when eating the battered shrimp. The steak though was excellent very nice and tender. The other available courses where all very tasty. Overall it was an enjoyable experience.“

“I’ll tell you what this place was underrated and the chicken fried steak looks huge. The chili cheese Coney hotdog was solid competing with the good hotdogs of the island. If you wanna beat the crowd get there about before 12 o’clock noon.“

Atmosphere: perfect (this means it was still kid friendly before dark, and we got to eat outside). Flavor: on point and spicy where I wanted, but not for the wife. We had shrimp cocktail, panko grouper fisher sandwich, French dip with sweet potato fries, and salmon Caesar salad. All very good no complaints. For dessert we shared the cheesecake which was very rich and delicious. We had a great waitress and the overall experience was very pleasant.“

“We had breakfast there today July 19th. The food was excellent and the scenery was extremely nice. Now only reason I took 2 stars was the servers today. Young lady (NIA i think her name was with the reddish braids was by far sweet, came back to make sure we was taken real good care of. Until she asked the other servers for help just rudely ignored her while trying to help us close out and leave. I stop in for coffee every other day and I get the same servers always with a smile ready to serve. The other servers are rude, rolling there eyes or on there phone.“

“Doesn't look like much from the outside, so I had a bit of sticker shock when I saw the menu prices ($13 hamburger, $11 chicken fingers), but the food was EXCELLENT. The popcorn shrimp was some of the best I've had on the island, the feta burger and fries were delish, and the chicken quesadillas were the tastiest we've ever had. Chips and salsa were also good.“

“Been coming here for years. Always our go to for good bands and drinks. Food is good too. We love watching The Line Up perform on Thursdays. Wish their breaks were shorter but we always enjoy their music. Juan is our favorite server. If he’s still around you’ll be in great hands. Drinks are good too.“
