There were 80 of us with the Pizza and Salad Buffet. EVERYBODY there remarked how wonderful how wonderful the pizza and service were. I've heard terms like "never had pizza this good", "the service was excellent", "wonderful place." I highly recommend this particular location for events. EXCELLENT.“

While the smells from the kitchen were good, the patty was a frozen, charbroiled patty and didn't taste fresh at all. Will go back but will probably avoid any of the burgers.“

“Listen. The Brunch Spot in Converse, Texas needs to be at the top of your list immediately. I went this morning with a ladies brunch group and the experience was everything. Cozy atmosphere, great energy, and the service was unbelievably fast. I ordered the catfish and grits and baby… it was so good I forgot I was supposed to take a picture. The catfish was seasoned perfectly, full of flavor, and the grits were smooth and cooked just right. Even with a big group, my plate came out in less than five minutes. And the owner, Tabby Pryor, came out to our table, greeted us, and even joined our conversation for a moment. That personal touch meant so much. Amazing food, amazing service, and I will absolutely be back.“

“Used them for a teacher luncheon and they delivered to our school. The elevator was broken and the two ladies carried trays and huge coolers up 2 high flights of stairs at least 7 times up and down. I get exhausted going up once. They had the most pleasant attitude.The food was delicious and the presentation of the trays and warmers was perfect! “I was excited to learn about this place from my son, as we've not found a truly remarkable pizza in San Antonio. We loved Ms Ellies, but since it closed, nothing else has checked all the right buttons on our pizza meter. The crust was phenomenal....thin base, bubbled up charred edges, slight crisp on the surface giving way to the perfect chew. The sauce...perfect in its simplicity...just tomatoes and not much else, if anything....perfect amount of cheese (light) so it doesn't weigh down the pie. Fresh basil. Sopressata. It's a walk-up window, and some small seating areas outside... no dine-in option at present. I can't hold that against them. It's just where they are in their Journey so far. But I do look forward to the time that they have a dine-in area and wine to enjoy with their fabulous pizza.“

I had the lemon butter spaghetti (GLUTEN FREE) with clams and scallops and let me tell you what…it’s hands down the best clam spaghetti I’ve had in my life (and I’ve had a lot of clam spaghetti at all kinds of Italian restaurants). The moment you step onto the property, you feel wrapped in the beauty and calm of the Texas Hill Country; wide open space, peaceful surroundings, and a setting that’s perfect for relaxing with friends or family.
The brewery has a truly family‑friendly atmosphere, with plenty of room for kids to play and adults to unwind. There’s a great sense of community here, and the beers are incredible.“

“My wife and I are here for a reunion. We're staying nearby and love Mediterranean food. Pasha's was near and we dropped by blind. This is the best decision. We came in right after the lunch rush and though the restaurant was still somewhat full we were quickly seated and our drink orders were taken. The drinks were brought along with a very large warm pita and a dish filled olive oil, feta cheese, and, ground oregano (?). I could have made a meal of that alone! My wife order salmon with rice and I order the lamb shank stew. After a short wait, the meals were brought to the table. Please understand, I'm a big man with a huge appetite. The moment I saw my plate, I knew I was going to need a "to-go" box. If you and your significant other love a hearty meal but you don't eat large portions, I recommend ordering one and sharing this!. I trave the world, this is the best lamb shank stew I have ever had! The meat falls off the bone and the flavors explode! The salmon, according to my wife was grilled to perfection. A light crust on the outside and very moist on the inside. During our meal, the owner would visit every table to see how his staff was doing. Our server was outstanding and we showed our appreciation to him. After dinner, we ordered baklava (both pistachio and cashew) to-go. (I took a bite of the pistachio already, it's homemade and quite delicious.) The next time we're back in San Antonio, this will be a mandatory stop. For those who live near here, please put this on one of your places to visit. I promise you, it will not disappoint.“

We'd pick up frozen pulled pork in Tennessee and bring it back to Texas as a treat. Nothing to compare until our first visit to The Purple Pig in June. Meets and exceeds our high standards to perfection. Don't miss this delightful experience. There are many things that makes the pulled pork extraordinary. Quality. Pecan smoked, not common to Texas. Wonderful sides. Add to the excellence of the food is the service and the quaint, charming setting. Five stars.“
