I ordered a plate that came with catfish, bang bang shrimp, and etoufee, and my husband ordered a shrimp po boy. I also ordered a cup of gumbo side. Everything was cooked to perfection. Now main dish of choice depends of what we’re craving. Their lobster bisque remind me of home. They have huge portions (everything bigger in TEXAS) and great variety of seafood meals to pig out on. “I love the seafood it’s very good but the place really needs some TLC. The customer service and overall atmosphere have gone downhill. The long wait times were frustrating, and I noticed multiple customers leaving. There was no music, which made the space feel dull. Adding music could really bring some character back to the place & more communication from the servers to the customers. would hate for this place to close down due to lack of customer service & returning customers no longer coming back ,some cleaning would be nice same stains on walls and floors from the previous time I visited two months ago“

“I normally don't give reviews to my customers but wow!!! I was under Carl's kitchen working on a broke part and all I/we could smell was greatness!!! When we finished Carl offered us some barbecue sandwiches and my lord I swear it was the best barbecue we had, maybe ever. Carl's kitchen has it going on. First thank you for your service, second Thank you for your food and third Thanks for hospitality. You just don't meet ppl anymore that has good qualities but Carl does!!! Keep on keeping on.

What was unacceptable was the BLARING VULGAR PROFANITY laced rap music, and the cars stacking up around the drive socializing and smoking pot so that you couldn't park, or even drive around to find a place to park. I brought it to the managers attention and he just became argumentative, and said this is what his customers want. No problem, we won't be back.“
