“The wife and I tried there brisket and ribs this evening and it was really good and I definently recommend you try them if you enjoy delicious smoked food and grab a fried pie while your there. No more soulmans for us because Baker's is definently not stingy with there meat . priced better and tastier food . Staff was extremely friendly as well.“

​This place is the real deal. We arrived on a crazy busy night (school spirit night), but the owners' wife and staff managed the floor like absolute pros—attentive, friendly, and always checking on us. Maybe the best service environment I’ve ever experienced.
​The food is just as good:
​Appetizers (Crawfish Dip/Meat Pie): Absolutely inhaled them. The crawfish dip is rich and soupy (in the best way) with buttered toast for dipping. Set the tone immediately.
​The Gumbo: Deeply flavorful, smoky broth with perfectly non-slimy okra.
​Chicken Fried Chicken: Flaky, tender, sweet and peppery crust. Whipped potatoes and creamy comfort gravy. Pure, honest soul food.
​The Cornbread: Dense and sweet—a must-order.
​To top it off, the owner brought us free samples of their cornbread waffles (crispy outside, gooey inside!). This isn't just a meal; it's a generous, authentic experience run by people who genuinely care. Skip the chains and come here. Perfection.“

“Honestly the best dinner I have had in a long time, it was half of a roast chicken, spicy coleslaw and green beans. I also mixed an Arnold Palmer with unsweet tea and their cucumber and jalapeno lemonade.
Definitely will be my go to for a great meal and the fact that it's around the corner makes it that much more a favorite place.“

“a group of three had lunch there yesterday. It took a minute to get our food which was fine, it was crowded and they were short a server. However when the food it came the food on one of the plates was cold. The mashed potatoes were very runny(watery) and full of lumps, nothing like we normally get. Our waitress brought our food and never came back yet she was continually filling drink glasses etc to the two tables behind us. I finally was able to ask for a drink refill when the checks came but by this time it was too late. If this had been my first visit I wouldn’t be going back.“

“The food was amazing, I got the Cheddar's trio sampler. It comes with 4 huge chicken tenders, a whole plate of chips and salsa, spinach dip with sour cream and queso dip. The spinach dip was out of this world great, you've got to try it but please if you go, ask for Sone as your server. She's so pleasant and accommodating. Never had to wait for more drinks or dressing, she's on point. She had some troublesome customers in the back but never complained about it and when she addressed us, you could never tell what she was dealing with. Very professional and she definitely deserves a raise“

I called your store and your staff was eager to help! Within 45 minutes we had food for 25 people, including an array of delicious sides. “Decent chicken at a great price. You can get a mac and cheese bowl or chicken & waffles for around $10. They also have a wide selection of sauces and some dessert options. This location was clean with reasonably quick service. The chicken didn’t wow me, but the prices are great.“

“Overall was good food, service was a little slow but it was also pretty busy in there. I haven’t been to this place in a very long time so was unaware that you seat yourself. They used to seat you so better communication on that would have been nice . Good experience though“
