“I visited Daqs & Oxtails for the first time during their Soft Grand Opening on 5/30/24. I love the vibe of the place. There was plenty of parking with indoor and outdoor seating. There was no hot food ready to purchase during my visit but I did buy the in-house banana pudding, hypnotic lemonade, Cake Daddy’s chicken salad, and the “Voodoo” flavor daiquiri. The servers were pleasant and professional, and the items were priced as I expected. Of all the items I purchased, the banana pudding was my favorite. I will definitely be returning to this spot for some oxtails, greens, yams, and cornbread soon! This spot is worth checking out!“

“We went to Wildwood hoping for a really good chicken fried steak, and boy were we disappointed. First of all it was extremely noisy especially for 2:00 on a Sunday. But hoping for the best we stayed and decided to try to spinach artichoke dip. It comes out looking almost like a French onion soup, the top covered with cheese and looks great! However we would have been better off opening a tub from Sam's Club as the one at this restaurant had no flavor whatsoever, you couldn't even make out what it was. We were hungry so we ate it. Next our meals come out. The chicken fried steak was huge, well plated, and looked amazing! Too bad that was as good as it got. It was tender, yet absolutely no flavor at all. My hubby had to drench it in salt & pepper and tobasco to give it any taste. I tried a piece and was extremely disappointed. My meal, the Atlantic Salmon was cooked to my specifications which was a pleasant surprise. Yet it appears the chef counts on the grill to contribute all flavor instead of any seasoning. The basmati rice was nothing more than what I could have prepared at home in a steamer, and as for the jicama slaw, which I was looking forward to trying was unimpressive. Fortunately a small part of the bowl had a smidgen of tomatilla sauce which I used to give the food a little flavor....not much but something. Overall, we spent $61.00 on food that would have been better almost anywhere else at a fraction of the cost. Not worth it, sorely disappointed and will not return. The one thing that is a positive about the restaurant is the staff. Service was excellent. Not impressed at all.“

“I absolutely love and appreciate the hospitality I received from everyone working here! I ordered delivery but decided I'd go pick up the food myself and I'm glad I did. Again, the hospitality was full display when I arrived, they assisted me with my order and helped correct some things for me when they didn't have to. I finally got home with my 1/4lbs of brisket, 1/4lbs of ribs, 1/2lbs of sausage, 1/4lbs of links, baked potato, collard greens, relishes and a banana pudding. (I requested cole slaw but it was out so they subbed in collards greens, and I'm glad they did! They were some of the best greens I've had since my grandmother passed.) The brisket paired well with the sauce given. The ribs had a cherry like glaze to it, it was an interesting taste sweet and smokey taste. Both the sausage and links popped and were unexpectedly juicy. The potato was good and a decent size, I didn't get all of fixings but what I got was worth returning. The banana pudding was delectable with a surprising cinnamon like spice whisked throughout it. Overall, I enjoyed my meal, I enjoyed the people there, I love their venue music choices. My ONLY ask is that more of the menu items and customizing options are available on their website/app. There's a lot good items here and I would hate for any to miss out on them. “How have I been living in Dallas, 15 min from here, for 38 years and just now found this place!? Don't like tomatoes or mayo on your burger? Want extra pickles? No fussing with a cashier, there is a toppings bar to dress your burger the way YOU like. Fries were fresh and hot. Staff was friendly and fast. dining area was clean. Burgers were well seasoned and they gave us a generous amount of bacon and crumbled blue cheese. Chili cheese dog was a good, but I wish they would have toasted the hotdog bun. Overall, ten out of ten! We will be back!“

“Blues, and a plate of Caddo is something I never knew I needed.

I always walk past because it looked plain on the outside. I came in to a laid back counter and kitchen that felt more homey than restaraunty. It wasn’t too busy when I arrived. 2 or 3 couples and a few eating alone. Just the sound of guitar and harmonica playing through the speakers.

I ordered the tilapia and shrimp caddo plate with a sweet tea for $25. Grooved with the sound of the blues down to my seat in a comfy corner between a wall of Billy bass and a wall of water skis.

First smell and first bite of the food brought me straight to New Orleans and back. Im so thankful I can share this experience.

“Sally at the front was so patient with my kids while they selected a toy. She took her time and didn’t rush them. What a kind heart and an asset to have as an employee. The rating system upon checkout only gave an option to rate my experience at a 9, but it was a 10/10 no notes!“

“We decided to eat here because another place nearby had a 45-minute wait. I'm glad we did. The wait time from arrival to being seated was maybe 4 minutes, and we did not get Quasimodo'd.
I had the chicken fried steak (pictured), and it was delicious. I also had the strawberry lemonade, which I highly recommend. However, the straws you serve with it should be boba straws so ye can slurp down the chunks of strawberries.
All in all the food was good the service was good, and the prices were fair. I recommend Cheddars.

8/9/2026 - Had lunch today at Cheddar's. We ordered the Sampler Appetizer (Queso Fries, Cheddar Bites, and Chicken Tenders). My wife ordered the Garlic Herb Chicken, and i ordered the Monte Cristo Sandwich. Our meals and the Appetizer were delicious. Our server was very friendly and took care of us quickly and efficiently. Im just sorry I didn't get her name.
All in all, I still think Cheddar's is a great restaurant.“
