“I visited Daqs & Oxtails for the first time during their Soft Grand Opening on 5/30/24. I love the vibe of the place. There was plenty of parking with indoor and outdoor seating. There was no hot food ready to purchase during my visit but I did buy the in-house banana pudding, hypnotic lemonade, Cake Daddy’s chicken salad, and the “Voodoo” flavor daiquiri. The servers were pleasant and professional, and the items were priced as I expected. Of all the items I purchased, the banana pudding was my favorite. I will definitely be returning to this spot for some oxtails, greens, yams, and cornbread soon! This spot is worth checking out!“

“It was our first time to visit. Upon entrance, you receive a warm welcome & a quick offer to help you when you're ready. We ordered a 1/2 pound of ribs, 1/2 pound of brisket, 1/4 pound of sausage, mac & cheese, coleslaw, & a kool-aid to drink.

Let me tell you, everything we tasted was really good. The brisket was one of the best I've ever tasted! It was tender & full of flavor. The ribs were also tender and covered in a nice sauce. The coleslaw was unique but tasteful & the mac & cheese paired well with the barbecue. The kool-aid had just the right flavor and sugar.

Great food with reasonable prices......this is a nice gem for Garland and certainly a place we will visit frequently. ⭐“

“How have I been living in Dallas, 15 min from here, for 38 years and just now found this place!? Don't like tomatoes or mayo on your burger? Want extra pickles? No fussing with a cashier, there is a toppings bar to dress your burger the way YOU like. Fries were fresh and hot. Staff was friendly and fast. dining area was clean. Burgers were well seasoned and they gave us a generous amount of bacon and crumbled blue cheese. Chili cheese dog was a good, but I wish they would have toasted the hotdog bun. Overall, ten out of ten! We will be back!“

The catfish and shrimp were solid, and the ceviche was a nice touch. The gumbo was the only item that didn't quite hit the mark for me, but everything else delivered. To top it off, we grabbed a table on the outdoor patio and enjoyed the meal with a perfect spring breeze, honestly one of the better settings for a casual seafood dinner. I had the blackened fish and rice it was delicious. Hubby had the steak it was a little under cooked for medium but was seasoned perfectly.
