“First time at this location and I ordered the Cobb Salad w/ Avocado Ranch sauce. The salad came in a good sized container and tasted good. The dressing packet was nice and large. They brought out my food to my table. Nice employees.

There's also a playground here.“

“I ordered the 1/4 lb popcorn shrimp combo, and it was all very good, except for the biscuit. The shrimp and fries were very freshly cooked and given to me, but that biscuit tasted like it had been lying under the sun lamp for an hour, VERY dry and hard. Could've been better if they still handed out little REAL BUTTERpackets, but they don't. AND the biscuits come frozen to the store, they don't make em fresh anymore, and haven't in many years now.“

“Very great food experience here. We ordered two spicy chicken sandwiches, a side of Mac and a side of Cajun Fries. Our food came fast. Fries were at the bottom of the bag and looked terrible—however—they were crispy and well seasoned. The Mac and cheese was really good (stouffers-ish). The chicken sandwiches were hot and very crispy! Very clean tasting, no oil flavor. I had never been, but was pleasantly surprised by our meal. Order taker was not very pleasant, not sure what to expect here though…

“Went to this location as a first-timer and I have to tell you, I have never had a fast food experience as awesome as this one, ever! The food was incredibly fresh and hot...like straight out of the fryer hot. I had to let mine cool down a bit before eating it, but you can't get fresher than that! The chicken was crispy, juicy and very well seasoned. (Note: The Carolina Reaper is not for the faint of heart. Unlike other places that simply name a mild or watered down sauce 'Reaper,' Hot Dave's uses ACTUAL Carolina Reaper powder. I have to admit, it caught me off guard so much, that I had to take it down a notch to the 'Extra Hot' flavor, which was absolutely perfectly SPICY, spicy and flavorful.)

You can tell that the GM, Rodney, really cares about his restaurant, employees and level of service because the restaurant was spotless, bathroom was super clean, the employees especially the cashier (Marley) was incredibly friendly, welcoming and patient (for us 1st-timers.) I was also surprised to see Rodney wiping down tables and checking on the customers, asking, 'How is everything? Everything good so far?' You only see that at VERY few fast food restaurants. (You better watch out, Chic-fil-A...Rodney's coming for you!)

“Reaper flavor has been hyped as being insanely hot - it lives up to the legend! Nice Cajun flavor to complement the heat. I chose the slider option - all of the components came together pretty well. Potato bun is a solid choice. House sauce has a nice zing to it but not my favorite with the other flavors in the slider (personal opinion.) I also tried a medium slider that didn’t burn my face off - very good flavor with medium, even heat. Enjoyed the seasoning on the house fries as well.

“Today I finally tried Layne’s, it was wonderful. The chicken is so much better than Canes or Slim Chickens. This is the best chicken I’ve had besides making homemade tenders, which is exactly what it reminded me of. The chicken was tender and the crust/batter is crispy. Will definitely return to have again. 10/10“
