We returned, but the food and service were not as good this time. The ribeye, ordered well done, was still rare in the middle. After it was sent back, some parts were still not well done, but most was edible. It was also not as flavorful or tender as it had been on our previous visit. We were not asked if we enjoyed our meal, and we didn't have a chance to inquire about the rewards program until after we had paid. Overall, the service was not as good and the meal did not feel worth the price.

Tried this place for the first time on Saturday end it was great.
We walked in, and were greeted by Andrew, he was very helpful and gave us different recommendations for our meal. Everything that we got had great flavor. We ordered the Barbacoa donuts, the marinated ribeye, Butternut squash, sautéed mushrooms, and the beignets for dessert. Definitely a great place for a date night.”

“We went to Provecho y Salud on a Friday around 12:00pm. The food was delicious. We ordered a fajita plate and quesadillas. The plates were very well portioned. We also ordered some Alcoholic beverages which were also amazing! Michael was a great host. He stopped by our table and made sure we were being well taken care of. Our server was also very sweet and attentive. We enjoyed the atmosphere of this place. The music wasn’t too loud either so that was nice. We would definitely be coming back.”

“1st time there. It was recommended. I ordered 1/2 lb of brisket and 1/2 a chicken. The chicken 1/2 was incredibly big, the lean brisket was not dry , still had traces of marbled fat, gave it superb taste. And I got a med potato salad. All for$18. This will be my new bbq hangout, the others in town are cutting corners etc. Disappointed in the other bbq places. I highly recommend Backyard. I do not know owners, I’m giving a non biased review.

“Heading back from South Padre we decided to give this place a shot. It's a simple restaurant with a small menu. The food was amazing! I ordered chilaquiles and a picadillo with cheese taco on the side. When the food came out, WOW! The taco was huge! It was at least 12 inches long and nice and full. The chilaquiles and picadillo was so good. I highly recommend giving this place a shot for breakfast.”

Ughh so delicious, creamy, caramely, and non watery!!! Even with the ice melted to small squares the coffee never watwred down, like I have experienced before in other coffee places. Vegetarian options: If you're looking for a vegetarian or vegan option- there is the #14 which is "the veggie" you can ask to remove the Swiss for vegan and it comes with bell peppers and your choice of toppings such as lettuce, tomatoes, onions, banana peppers, pickles, jalapeños,cherry pepper relish and the juice which is red wine vinegar and olive oil sprinkled with salt and oregano, you can also ask for pepper and or add portabella mushrooms, which is #64 on the menu if you want it hot on the grill (ask for no Swiss and in a tub if vegan)

Through overcoming what Covid through at you, to reopening with limited staff, pushing through what life throws at you, the economy and it rising prices and now to your sister battling cancer(and she will persevere).Establishments like you are what we need in this town….in this world. For those that have never been, yes they are curbside. But in no way does that stop them from serving you the best, freshest food, with a smile. The food is just like grandma makes. It just makes you feel all warm and cozy, while certainly filling up the belly. My family and I love to order from here and we try to as often as we can. We love to support our local hidden gems and this restaurant is a GEM.I was compelled to write this review, because of a post on Facebook. Someone complaining of the prices of a fajita taco and they can get a better deal at Stripes. Psshh…..I DON”T THINK SO!! You cannot compare a homemade taco to a stripes taco, no way. Prices for food have skyrocketed to an unimaginable high. Gas is ridiculous! Adjustments have to be made and therefore prices must go up. They have families that depend on them. Have I ordered a fajita taco from Panchito’s…yes I have. It was the best and freshest fajita taco that I have ever had, at any local restaurant. Though I must say, the carne guisada on the large 16 inch tortilla, with rice, beans, lettuce and tomato, is my absolute favorite. The 16 inch carne guisada taco, on the menu is $18.99 and the 9 inch is $10.99. Is that too much for a taco? Not really. Is it worth it? 100% YES!! Will I order it again? ABSOLUTELY!!You pay for the quality of the food, the heart that goes into the cooking, the smile and warm greeting when it’s brought out to you. I will come back over and over again. In fact, I had Panchito’s for lunch today. I had their lunch special of Calabaza con Pollo and it was THE BEST!
