“Food is so important to the overall success of a wedding. Guests that are well-fed with delicious food are happy guests. In our case, selecting the right vendor was complicated by the fact that it was a blended wedding with many attendees who had never eaten Indian/ Gujarati food before. It is even more difficult to find a caterer who prepares a Gujarati menu well! We found Priya and company of Sawaii through our wedding planner and they were quite the find!! Our experience with Priya and her crew started with 2 different meetings where they prepared menus for the 2 lunches and 2 dinners that could be offered to our guests. They included a full Gujarati menu as well as many fusion items that would satisfy every guest’s tastes. We had the opportunity to sample, select our favorites and make adjustments to spice levels. Radha and Connor’s two day wedding celebration was the true test of Priya and her crew’s talents..they passed with flying colors. Much of the food was cooked on the premises so that it was very fresh. ALL the food was delicious! The paneer and chicken taco station was a big hit as well as the chat station. “In this semi-table service counter order establishment, the Fish Thali is a pure delight for pescatarians and almost every dish was cooked to perfection except for the two fried fish dishes. They were definitely a tad over-cooked bit still pretty darn good.

The fish curry, crab curry and sambar were out of this world. Net-net the food was a 4.75 stars. The pulkas took a little longer than we anticipated but we're delicious when they came out. Assuming it took time to make fresh chapatis?

The Goat-sukha was also amazing.

“This place is a recent gem opened in June 2024 in same location where Asian Pot used to exist. An amazing punjabi family owned restaurant. Very very tasty food and flavors are authentic. You will love the food, price and hospitality they have offered. Found this place through a random search on google maps and it was an amazing experience. A must try ! Will be back soon.“

“A HIDDEN GEM. Don't walk, RUN to this place. Since life happens, I don't get to enjoy homemade south indian food anymore. This place fills my heart because the food is exactly how your Amma would make it (probably better). It's family owned and they're so kind.

Seriously, even down to the cilantro was simply quality. {insert chef’s kiss} They said it would take about 15 mins, it was ready in 12. We had chaiya and ethika uppum (fried plantain) to end the meal and OH. EM. GEE. sooo fresh & delicious. This is a MUST STOP in Carrollton! My husband can be pretty picky with his Kerala food and chaiya, and he just wouldn’t stop raving about it all!“

“Ordered the chicken pakoda and samosa, and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised! First off, the food was incredibly fresh and piping hot, straight from stove.
What truly stood out, though, was their exceptional customer service. We stopped by for a late-night snack after 10 pm, a time when their system usually only offers the main course menu. Despite this, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us, making sure we could still enjoy the starters we were craving. Their “customer first” attitude really made our experience memorable.

“If you love dosa, this is the place to be! The Ghee Karam Dosa is my all-time favorite—it’s absolutely delicious! I also tried the Punugulu, Mysore masala dosa, Samosa chaat, Mirchi baaji masala and Idly, and everything was so good! They have only a few outdoor seating options, so you might need to take your food to go or eat in your car. Luckily, there’s plenty of parking available onsite. Definitely worth a visit for some amazing South Indian food!“

We usually get the daal, which always comes out great. The haleem is flavorful, the butter chicken hits the spot, and the biryani is decent too. It’s not a fancy dine-in experience—the place could use some updates in terms of decor—but for a regular, no-fuss meal, it does the job.

Everything I have tried here has been excellent but the mutter paneer and the masala dosa are my favorites. my only note is to be patient with the wait time because it does usually take a while but it's always worth it 👌“

“The food was DELICIOUS! We travel a lot and this is the best Indian Food buffet we've been to! it's difficult to choose my favorite dish because it was all amazing. The only thing that was questionable is they use paper plates for the buffet and we didn't have a table "server/waiter" but the food was so good it made up for it! After tasting several things from the buffet on my plate I completely got over the paper plates and was glad we decided to eat here. I highly recommend this restaurant.“

“Fresh hot idlis and dosas. Sambhar was one of the best across the various Chowrastha branches. Space felt a bit congested though. However, service was quick and ample parking available at the location. Lots of dessert options too! Especially loved the jaggery jalebis!“
