“This is a good place that recently opened in Little Elm/Frisco location. The best reason to get the food here is healthy and hygienic food especially if you are a Vegetarian, since the options are abundant. (Veg Poriyal, kootu, Kuchambu, Rasam to name a few). They are health conscious - add minimum salt, use peanut oil (not a refined one) and do not use food coloring agents/Ajinomoto etc. that is a norm with many other Indian places. The food is of South Indian (Tamil Nadu) style. On the contrary, taste and quality of non-vegetarian items can be improved.“

“In this semi-table service counter order establishment, the Fish Thali is a pure delight for pescatarians and almost every dish was cooked to perfection except for the two fried fish dishes. They were definitely a tad over-cooked bit still pretty darn good.
The fish curry, crab curry and sambar were out of this world. Net-net the food was a 4.75 stars. The pulkas took a little longer than we anticipated but we're delicious when they came out. Assuming it took time to make fresh chapatis?
The Goat-sukha was also amazing.
Will definitely be going back.“

“My most go to place. Every dish I tried was a blend of flavors, perfectly balanced and expertly crafted. From the creamy Butter Chicken to Lamb Vindaloo, each dish showcased the rich culinary heritage of India. The spices were used with finesse, adding depth and complexity to every bite. And I must appreciate the chef's expertise in balancing the flavors.“

“Friends of mine mentioned this location, and I had read positive reviews. The staff had headbands and gloves on, and the place looked immaculate when I visited last week. The mulbagal benne dosa and ghee podi idly that I ordered arrived promptly and were delicious. Together with the garlic naan, I also tasted some spicy Malai kofta and jackfruit panasapottu kurma, all of which were quite delicious. I enjoyed the greatest homemade sweet I've ever had, angur rabdi jamun, for dessert. It's beyond a doubt that vegetarians should visit this location.“

“This is an Indian restaurant with a variety of dishes starting from starters to desserts. This is also a good place to take away from the restaurant and also can plan for snacks in the evening. Why don't you give it a try and enjoy a day ?
This is a very good option for take away, preferably dining during the weekend.
Vegetarian options: Have both vegetarian and non vegetarian options here. It also offers vegetarian breakfast options.
Kid-friendliness: Kids will enjoy the food and at last, have a good ambience at the restaurant to have fun for kids as well“
“$$$ Food’s on the pricier side
Inside grocery store
You can easily get to $25-$30/person here.
Vada Pao and Samosa’s were both amongst the best I have found in the US
Portion sizes is surprisingly smaller in comparison to other restaurants/eateries serving these items at similar price points.
$1.90 samosa/$4 vada paos. These were tiny.
That being said. They were delicious.
Sabudana vada was okay. Not great. Not bad. Mediocre.
Vada pao garlic masala was not good.“

“Always always consistently good! We time our trips to Dallas to coincide with lunch here... any excuse! Highly recommend for two - Texas Sized Chicken Tikka Masala... medium/hot spice level., with Nan bread. Enjoy a lovely glass of Chardonnay with it, or try out the fantastic mango drink. Finish your meal with the ultra sweet gulab jamun, but request that it be heated. If that is too sweet, then maybe the rice pudding is for you! All yummy!!!!“

“Absolutely fantastic food - their biryani is one of the best we had in ages. Chicken Mughlai, Palak Paneer were equally tasty, so were the Gobi Chilli. On the dessert front - Gajjar halwa was heavenly. Their service is great and their staff are friendly and strive to please.“

“Delicious South Indian food: We tried many dosa varieties (ghee karma, Mysore and rava masala dosa). They are served hot with 6 different chutneys. Their desserts were fresh as well. The
Paneer starters (Paneer majestic, 65) are a must try.
The waitresses (Jyothi and Harika) were patient and helpful.“

“Unfortunately, I did not get a chance to dine-in this restaurant during my recent trip to Dallas, so on my way back to Missouri, I stopped by to get lunch to-go. Though it was a 15 miles additional trip to my route, I ll never regret my decision. I got bhai kadai mutton biryani, ambur chicken biryani and a chicken 65. Ambur biryani was so authentic replicating the exact taste of original ambur biryani back from India, mutton biryani was excellent, chicken 65 was so tender even after couple of hours where we stopped at a rest area in Oklahoma for lunch. Their ambience was so inviting and owner was very welcoming! This is one of the must visit south indian restaurants around Plano, Frisco and Dallas. Keep serving the great food!“

“For a change a great restaurant that is more focused on quality vs quantity of people it can cater to. Think boutique restaurant and the owners are normally checking on each table. The staff is really nice, we stuffed ourselves with a lot of good freshly made food.
Dietary restrictions: They catered to No onion No garlic food.“

“Ordered the chicken pakoda and samosa, and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised! First off, the food was incredibly fresh and piping hot, straight from stove.
What truly stood out, though, was their exceptional customer service. We stopped by for a late-night snack after 10 pm, a time when their system usually only offers the main course menu. Despite this, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us, making sure we could still enjoy the starters we were craving. Their “customer first” attitude really made our experience memorable.
I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal and a wonderful time. You won’t be disappointed!“

“Although most Indian food can be made vegan friendly, it is nice to see it clearly labeled here.?I believe a lot of the tiffins are vegan, they also have tofu tikka masala & palak tofu, and a vegan biryani with tofu/veggies, among other items. Super good & definitely worth trying.“

“Finally found one of the best restaurant (even if it is Nepali) in Frisco that has top notch ambience, live music Bollywood songs , professional service and of course the Indian food and not at all expensive .
Its unlike any restaurant in Frisco east/Plano where all Indian restaurants are more or less the same food- noisy, unprofessional feels like using the masala from the same factory“

“Wow. I'm very impressed with Masala Wok. I ordered the Biryani Paneer 65. Extra hot.
Normally, when I order spicy food, it's never spicy enough. Not this time. It was spicy. Even though the spice was present, the flavors were there. There was layers upon layers of different spices that I enjoyed.
I could only eat half of the meal because of the spice. However, I ate the rest the next day and had the same great experience.
I will 100% eat here again.“

“A very best place in town to find home style cooked food for a reasonable price. They make delicious authentic Andhra sweets and snacks. Tried both veg and non veg dishes and they are outstandingly tasty. Food is always freshly made. We catered food sometime ago for our party and the food was fantastic and all my guests loved the food. The Jilebi and Junnu here is so yummy and heavenly that just thinking of it makes my mouth watery.“

“Food was nice, we ordered 4 person Mandi for 6 people (2 kids) and meat was flavourful and juicy, rice was also flavour. However we had a lot leftover and we estimated that a 4 person Mandi is probably enough for 8 adults. So only issue is misleading Mandi names.
Dietary restrictions: Items are not very clearly labeled for allergens“

“Buffet prices as of October 2024
Weekdays is 11.99 11:00-2:30
Weekends is 15.99 11:30-3:00
I’ll prefixes this with saying I regularly eat spice challenges, I’ve lived with an Indian family for a couple years, and I’m much more adjusted to heavy spices so I wanted to state that do you know that I probably wouldn’t reflect the average spice levels lol.
They have a fantastic buffet and especially for the price in a world of rising costs. It’s the spiciest buffet I can find in Dallas and they said that they are generally spicier but understand it’s less spicy because we are in Dallas. However, if you want the most spice in a buffet, this is the most I’ve seen so far. I managed to eat everything here (and I am heavy breathing full) and it’s all very solid.
The chicken curry has bones in it so heads up, but you know the flavor is that much better.
Customer service is friendly, and they take away the plates quickly.
They have vegetarian options as well. Though the buffet is somewhat limited, I think I could live off the vegetable biryani alone and you can order additional vegetarian options.
Atmosphere is great. There’s hindi music playing but it’s not too loud so you can have a conversation.
Seating is spacious as well.
Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian options as well. Though the buffet is somewhat limited, I think I could live off the vegetable biryani alone and you can order additional vegetarian options.
Wheelchair accessibility: They have a ramp to sidewalk going directly in and the width of the walkways in the restaurant are definitely wheelchair accessible.“

“I had the weekend special 'Sp. Chicken Pulao', it was one of the best rice dish that i ve had in US. It was so flavourful, yet almost no masala. Its a must try for anybody who likes less spicy, less masala biryani/pulao.
My wife had Paneer Kadhai, it comes with a naan and rice as a side dish. She liked that too.“

“We recently ordered for an event with 60 people, and the food was outstanding.
Among the standout dishes were the Bheemili cut mirchi and the Veg Hakka noodles. The Bheemili cut mirchi was a hit with its spicy kick and well-balanced flavors, while the Veg Hakka noodles were a delightful combination of texture and taste. The Rumali roti was soft and perfectly complemented the curry Methi Chaman.
Both the Veg Kheema Biryani and Veg Dum Biryani were exceptional.
Overall, every guest found the food to be incredibly tasteful and satisfying. I highly recommend this restaurant for catering services—they truly delivered a meal that was both delicious and memorable.“

“Food is so important to the overall success of a wedding. Guests that are well-fed with delicious food are happy guests. In our case, selecting the right vendor was complicated by the fact that it was a blended wedding with many attendees who had never eaten Indian/ Gujarati food before. It is even more difficult to find a caterer who prepares a Gujarati menu well! We found Priya and company of Sawaii through our wedding planner and they were quite the find!! Our experience with Priya and her crew started with 2 different meetings where they prepared menus for the 2 lunches and 2 dinners that could be offered to our guests. They included a full Gujarati menu as well as many fusion items that would satisfy every guest’s tastes. We had the opportunity to sample, select our favorites and make adjustments to spice levels. Radha and Connor’s two day wedding celebration was the true test of Priya and her crew’s talents..they passed with flying colors. Much of the food was cooked on the premises so that it was very fresh. ALL the food was delicious! The paneer and chicken taco station was a big hit as well as the chat station. Our guests were VERY happy indeed! Thank you to all at Sawaii catering….we so enjoyed the results of your culinary talents… The Patel and McNicholas Family“
