"Merchantile" feels like a little Art gallery located close to the Menill Collection. The coffee bar wall decoration is very unique using bamboo trees, and there's an antique piano by the window, a swing from the ceiling! Relaxing atmosphere, friendly staffs, and good vibe.
this place has a wonderful atmosphere with a lovely, welcoming barista. it’s tucked away in Montrose, feeling hidden in some way. The barista was the sweetest ever. I wish I got her name so I could shout her out. I loved the atmosphere of this place, with their books and decorations. The coffee I had, while good, was nothing really spectacular. Kid-friendliness: One time I went in, there was a baby walking around....made some noise. No one really seemed to mind, which I really liked. The baby wasn't bothering anyone, was just being a kid. They also allow dogs, and have dog treats to give to the dogs. I thought that was pretty cool! DO NOT bring outside food IN.
