Yesterday, for my birthday, my husband took me to the Capital Grille on Sam Houston Parkway for lunch. Kristlyn Tumer served us. She was WONDERFUL. The food was great, the restaurant was warm and welcoming, but Kristlyn added the final touch. Until yesterday I had a different restaurant as my favorite restaurant in Houston, but yesterday’s experience made this place first in my heart. I had such a wonderful dining experience..
Excellent food, atmosphere and location. Generous pour is definitely worth trying if you enjoy wine!
 we enjoyed everything from the waitress to the food. Everything was perfect. Great customer service and delicious food. The waitress was spectacular. She was on point with everything.

The Capital Grille offers a high-quality dining experience with excellent food and service. The highlights include the scallop with lobster risotto, Filet Oscar, and NY Strip entrees, along with lobster bisque and shrimp cocktail. The cheesecake remains a popular dessert, and drinks like old fashioned, pineapple martinis, and dirty vodka martinis are highly recommended. Guests have enjoyed the kitchen tour, and the aged NY strips are particularly praised. The French onion soup and Caesar salad at the bar are also top-notch, with attentive service creating a great overall experience. Many visitors return for special occasions, celebrating anniversaries or enjoying a lovely dinner with colleagues, often complimenting the knowledgeable staff and outstanding food. The attention to detail is outstanding, with birthday confetti, cards, and desserts for special occasions. The steaks and lobster mac are exceptional, and the mashed potatoes are fantastic. While the overall experience is top-notch, there can be occasional issues with the preparation of certain dishes.
